Gentility

-AZUL- recently released this beautiful dress that to me, just screams goth! I loved it the moment I saw it and I had to style it in my darker taste. Rather than going glam, I decided to push the boundaries and explore the different areas of goth. So I dared to take this dress into gothic lolita territory, but still kept it high fashion.-AZUL-'s Annette includes a rigged fitmesh dress in standard sizing as well as for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink, a pair of rigged mesh gloves in standard sizing, unrigged mesh collar with flexi feathers, and an unrigged fascinator/veil with flexi pieces. I styled it with Aii, The Ugly and The Beautiful's Monster girl hair, which gave it a factor of cute and effeminate, but still dark with beautifully curved horns. The Mosnter girl hair includes three horn colors (black, gold, silver), 3 sizes and an unrigged version that are all modify for easy customization. I decided to add in a pair of sheer lacetop stockings to break up the bare leg, and these fierce alien high heels from Blackburns. They're gorgeous and modify! For makeup I went with all Zibska, since her Tali Liners looked perfect with her Maudi eyeshadow behind them, and of course some jet black lipstick. When it came to taking pictures, I struggled finding a location, as nothing was sating me. So instead, I carefully put together my own set and made my own pose for the effect I desired.

Evenescent

This was one of those looks that just came together and happened. I love gradient clothing, so this rigged mesh dress from Topazia made me especially happy. I am really loving the very delicate pearls that detail the gown on the sides, straps and back! I decided to add in Zibska's Ailell shrug, since it was not only the perfect color, but it was cactus blooms (cactus included). For accessories, I used these long gloves from Azul's Gina gown and this simple ribbon collar. For makeup, I used Zibska's Kelan lips, and this sexy and seductive eyeshadow from Topazia. For hair, I figured that a beautiful windblown hair with white highlights in my regular blonde would be a nice touch.

Amaranthine

Sadly, the Halloween season has come to a close, but my love for all things dark and spooky still thrives on ever stronger. Azul definitely celebrated the joy of the spooky spirit with creating her Julie gown! There is a limited edition Halloween version, but I actually opted to play with a different color. This pink for some reason just stood out to me with the vibrancy of the color. Azul's Julie gown includes a rigged mesh body suit and gloves (both in standard sizing), a pair of unrigged wings, flexi skirt pieces, a flexi skirt train, and a tiara. I decided to styling it using Finesmith's Hamara jewelry in silver, as to pull the white pearls of the tiara throughout the outfit. I felt that some sheer, lace top stockings would be appropriate here and really add an effeminate sense of sexy. I finished off the outfit with these sexy wrap heels, lucious lipstick, and dark smokey eyeshadow from Zibska. Zibska's Ricana lips includes 36 shades of lipstick, with LeLutka, TMP, and Catwa appliers. I've noticed that both the Azul and Zibska dark color palettes like to mesh well with each other. Last, I needed to look for the right hair. I had something on while styling, but it just wasn't quite right! Little Bones just so happened to have just what I was looking for out at Uber. Creme is a very soft, fluffy hair that just looked too perfect in my preferred shade of blonde; I have to say the new textures are absolutely gorgeous. Speaking of Little Bones, I was one of the lucky few that made it onto the waiting list; then yesterday I logged on to a big surprise. I had been invited to the official Little Bones blogging group! Needless to say I'm exciting and I cannot wait to create art with this masterfully crafted hair. From there I ended up making my own editorial pose and crafted my own scene.

Once Fallen

I've been in a mood lately, not a very pleasant one, but a rather dark one. With it though, comes art. This is my portrayal of a fallen angel, cast from the heavens and down upon rocks within the sea; she lays therein the cold ocean waters, gazing upward.
This look started with a messy, smeared Visitante makeup from Zibska, which comes with two colors (black, red), eye makeup, lip makeup with two versions, eyes with four versions and appliers for TMP and LeLutka. I put it over some smokey black eyeshadow and dark lipstick, and put on my favorite hand tattoo also from Zibska. Hair and wings came together quickly when I laid my eyes upon these wings from Material Squirrel. I liked them so much I was parading around with two pairs and an editorial hair on! For clothing though, I spend hours searching for the right body wrap that was dark, sexy, and shadowy. It wasn't until I realized AZUL had exactly what I was looking for. I wore the Anais silks in Onyx, minus the bright beautiful flowers and flexi-skirt. It's sheer, incredibly sexy, and perfect for a fallen angel. To finish it off I chose this statement necklace from Finesmith, since it reminded me of wings in its shape and had a bit of an armor feel to it. For posing, I absolutely had to create my own pose, since there was nothing that would come close to doing justice for what I envisioned.

Ochre Aria

It's October, yay, my favorite month of the year! Sadly this means that the 29th of this month, the beautiful limited recolors of AZUL's gowns will be going away. So if you want to get a gorgeous gown like the one I am wearing for a steal of a price, you need to head over to AZUL! AZUL's Gina gown comes with a rigged mesh dress and gloves in standard sizing, a side adornment, a headpiece, and flexi-skirts. I really cannot get over how beautifully everything is textured, it always blows me away looking at all of the smallest details. I decided to style this gown with a softer look, but still maintaining my darkness. I rarely ever seen anyone style browns with blonde hair, which I think is a missed opportunity, since the color palettes go so beautifully together. I present a soft, blonde gothic look! For the shoot, I actually stayed at home and just rearranged my personal quarters a bit, since it had this big open window that allowed for light to spill in so perfectly.

Quintessence

Teal is usually Dragon's territory, but I couldn't resist but to delve in when I laid my eyes upon this limited edition recolor of AZUL's Maeve gown. Corset? Barbed wire? Headdress? Beautiful long flowing skirt? Oh my gods I'm in love! I absolutely had to put my own dark spin on this outfit, but not too dark however. I decided to go with a blonde goth look with long hair and  heavy, dark makeup (all from Zibska) that isn't too far different to what one will see me wearing in the real world. Little Bones had the perfect long hair that had these soft, beautiful waves loose curls. Aii, The Ugly and The Beautiful had released a gothic accessories gacha a while back and I happened to have the silver gothic collar rare, which fit too perfectly with the hanging chains. For shoes I went with a high platform heel from Zibska, as to pay patronage to the very iconic platform shoes and boots you see in the scene. For the shoot I again made my own pose, then headed over to one of my favorite places in Secondlife. It's needless to say I am completely and utterly in love with this look!

Saudade

Saudade: The feeling of longing for someone that you love and is lost.

I can honestly say that this post was one that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I was spending time styling with my dear friend Madeleine, when I asked her to help me choose a gown to blog. She said, "Kay, this one would look incredible on you!" as she pointed to Azul's limited edition recolor of their Esmerelda mesh gown in peridot. Esmerelda comes with a mesh gown in 5 standard sizes, a system layer top, collar, sleeves, and flex-skirts. Green is definitely my favorite color, so I was excited, but instead of going with my usual dark touch... Maddy pushed me to style soft and feminine. I avoided my typical dark makeup, went with lighter colors, and utilized this shawl from Zibska. With a little tinting, I was able to get the PERFECT match that brought out the different tones in the gown. With some dark lace gloves I was able to pull out a little more of the darker tones, but not too much, while my ring (and it is special to me) pulled out the greens and highlights, even though it was very small. As for posing, I had to create my own pose, since I found some that were close, but not quite cutting it. I went with something very longing, as the mood I was in while crafting this post was missing someone special to me.

Amicable Ascendance

With Azul's Mainstore Renewal, the amazing Mami Jewell has released 62 (yes, 62!) limited edition recolors of her designs and they are GORGEOUS. While they do not have appliers for the legacy clothing layers, they're still incredibly beautiful and high quality designs. The texture work at AZUL is hand painted artistry! I chose to play with the limited edition recolor of their Alicia dress in pearl. It's a gorgeous white dress with accents of pink and violet in the flexi-skirt. I decided to keep my styling simple, as not to detract from the beauty of the gown. I went with a blindfold (and doves) from Zibska for the symbolism of peace, a lovely ribbon necklace from Junbug, and a drop pendant from Maxi Gossamer that had the perfect shade of pink to pull the color upwards from the skirt. For makeup, I kept it simple since part of my face was covered. I used my favorite lipgloss from Zibska and some subtle tears from Soedara to add a sense of delicate emotion. As for posing, once again I created my own pose to compliment the look and allow me to float among the clouds.

Ardent Glimpse

I know that my blogging had still been a bit slow lately, but it's mostly because of the work I'm doing with the Audace Sirens and SL Vogue. I feel completely honored to be working with both of these incredibly talented teams! I've been learning so much, making new friends, and feeling inspired. Styling this beautiful dress made for Miss Brazil from -AZUL- was definitely a challenge, because I wanted to do something different (when do I not?) with it. I went with the peridot color out of the many gorgeous colors it's available in, because it had a hint of orange in it. Zibska happened to have quite literally THE perfect makeup to match, jewelry to accent, and hair that was just wild enough. I think it's pretty clear how shamelessly in love I am with Zibska's amazing creations! For my nails I went with Finesmith's solid set since there was nail color that had all the right shades of green in one,, my eyeliner being my favorite liner from cStar, and hazel eyes from Ikon. As far as posing goes, I just wanted finding anything that was close enough to what I was envisioning, so I had to again make my own pose to achieve just the right look and attitude I wanted.

Remember Tomorrow

I've become quite fond of beautiful gowns and how flawlessly some designers intermingle mesh and flexi-prims. -AZUL- is one of the few designers that has mastered this art, combined with hand painted textures that completely floor me with the attention to detail. I feel completely honored to have been chosen to be apart of the official blogging team for designs of such high caliber and artistry. This gorgeous gown is called Ohana and was carefully crafted for Miss SL Vietnam and comes in 14 stunning colors. Ohana is a rigged mesh gown in standard sizing, including flexi-prim attachments that are resizeable via scripts. For my styling I chose to pair this gown with this elegant jewelry set from Zibska that's highly detailed with beautiful swirls and delicate gems. Claudia is an unrigged, modifiable jewelry set available at The Secret Affair (until august 14th) that includes a collar, necklace, and a pair of earrings. Both the metal and the gems have 10 colors, controlled via HUD. For makeup, Zibska wowed me with what she had out at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair! Rei is a bright eyeshadow that includes 12 colors and appliers for the TMP head. Delice is a shiny lipgloss that includes 30 colors and appliers for the LeLutka head, needless to say I'm kind of in love with them. I finished off the look with a high pony and my favorite gold nail polish from Finesmith that's absolutely to die for.
