Do What You Wanna Do

Guys! Guys! I can finally share why I was really slow to pick up blogging this month! The first week of December I was selected to take part in the December issue of ECLIPSE Magazine's Ways to Wear section. This round was special because it pits bloggers against certified models. So I was assigned three different items and had to come up with a look for each of them. Luckily for me that was the hard part, as the wonderfully talented Anderian Sugarplum was in charge of the photography for the magazine. So please go check out this issue and especially dive in to the section that starts on page 152 and vote for who you think wore it best! Here is a sneak peek at my looks, aka the 'crap I need to have a photo of these looks for inspection pose fast and get it done' pics.

Midnight Snack

Every once in awhile a girl just gets hungry in the middle of the night and needs to catch herself a nice bloody midnight snack...

Anyways! I managed to get into the blogger preview of Skin Fair 2015 and well I have a bunch of goodies to share between now and the 29th when it closes! Unfortunately until the fair opens the LMs are to be kept top secret so you will have to check back here for them sometime on or after the 13th when I get a chance to update, or go ahead and join the group to be part of the masses converging on the 2 sims packed full of awesome the moment it opens! Anyways time to show off the first of my goodies. .:Soul:. has been around since I started SL and I have always coveted her work but never remembered to grab it when I went skin shopping. To this day I still remember her Rainbow Leopard avatar set that I always drooled over but could never manage to collect enough money to buy back in the day when I ran around as a furry most of the time. Anyways back to the here and now and after seeing what she can do now I don't think .:Soul:. will be falling off of my radar anytime soon. Not only did she make a wide range of human tones she also has a set of drow tones and a set of tones that pretty much follows the rainbow, and you know I can't object to that! Today I am showing off one of her pale tones (Cream) with one of her newly released Kissers! Now I was hesitant when I got the kisser because I'm one of those that is resistant to the mesh body parts crazy. I only got the feet because I couldn't find shoes without them for the longest time and the hands because well lets face it the regular avatar hands are just not expressive and I caved because all the pretty nails! Anyways back to this mesh mouth. Granted I used the provided shape that came with it, so I din't try to fit it to my normal shape yet but the included tattoo layer to map it with the grid layer on the mouth itself has me thinking it will be pretty easy once I take the time to try it out on my shape.

And then +Nuuna+ put out make-ups for Skin Fair and well anyone that has paid attention recently has noticed my new found addiction for their make-ups and we all knew I grabbed a few of them.  Alyways I have rambled enough for this post. Freshwater Pearl

The theme for Uber this round is Bohemian, which kinda made me have a sad just because that is one style that I don't really find appealing so I find it exceedingly hard to pull off. But the hair that Olive put out called to me and I had to try. The beads in the hair reminded me of pearls, even more so when I wandered through We Love Roleplay and found this beautiful mermaid outfit from Noodles. Thus landing this fish out of water on dry land.

Spun Sugar

So I squeed when I found out that the theme for this month's Collabor88 was Unicorns! Because I love them and any of my friends will tell you that without even a moments hesitation. So I fought my way in and grabbed a bunch of goodies and here is the first abuse of the Kawaii factor upon your eyes.

So I saw the GoT inspired collars from Noodles and I had to get my hands on it and so I did! and well from there the rest of the look just kinda fell into place with the dragon and the hair that instantly brought a certain Khaleesi to mind. The Creationist

So the World Goth Fair opened up this week and I happened to badger Lokii until she finished her items and showed them too me and I have to say it was almost instant LOVE. Yes RL got in the way and while I had this all done and styled up the night before the fair opened, RL work decided that it wanted all of my attention. So I bring you just a taste of the sexy goth goodies exclusively at this great event.

Now if you want more information on this awesome event that is sanctioned by the folks at World Goth Day and benefits the Sophie Lancaster Foundation you should head over to their Blog. There you can find LMs and the merchant list as well as many other goodies such as info on the event at Club Gothika on the 22nd.

Maybe I shoudl ramble some about what I'm wearing too... So the outfit collar and boots are all part of one of the outfits MV has brought to the fair, and I have to say Lokii is slowly bringing back an obsession with purple, because she has just the right shade to make me want to hump all her purple stuff. I haven't felt the need to do that since +DV8+. Anywho I paired the outfit with one of the sexy horns that +Half-Deer+ has to offer and I must say grab these horns now while you can because I know I will use them again and probably not till after the goth fair is over but there are enough colors and patterns that there are many of different uses for them and this is just one of them. Other little pieces like the slightly color altered (they were purple but they wern't quite the right shade and they were mod so I tweaked them closer) cross rings from Cute Poison and one of the necklaces that Noodles brought to us in the first The Arcade event make this outfit come to life while paired with one of the sexy TAO Goth skins that cStar brought out at the beginning of the year.

A Glittery New Year

2013 is almost upon me and thinking back to this year a lot has changed and my SL is almost nothing like it was when 2012 started. At the beginning I was a +DV8+ Live Model, a +DV8+ Dreadnought, a SLRDA Referee, a Mall Manager, a Shop owner. As the year went on I let go of being a derby girl then refereeing as well. +DV8+ closed it's doors and my Modeling and Mall Managing went with it. I decided I wasn't up to being a shop owner at this stage in SL and packed it up to play with later. Though the new year isn't all about what I've lost, I've gained a lot as well. I'm newly managing the Dare Designs Models that will be starting with the new year, I'm now blogging my heart out and enjoying every minute of the challenges that comes with styling for a blog using things I picked up when modeling and adding them to the tricks I learn on the way. I've lost friends, I've gained enemies, I've made better friends, and I've learned form all of this along the way.

So with all that being said I realized today I wanted to make a post to help remember the past year and bring in the new one with some sparkle to remind myself of the promising new year ahead and to show how far I've come (at least with my blogging and styling) so far.

Christmas Is For Cookies

So I've been busy IRL for the past month (blame my sister I've been her slave), and thus kinda let my blogging slack off some, but I promised myself I would get a pretty Christmas look together and totally got it all together by Christmas Eve; so YAY ME! Well here it is!

So first of cStar has stuck again with this beautiful skin for F R O S T Fair, and at half price and limited to the event and not to just 2 of each tone I managed to snag at least 3 tones of this skin and it makes me happy! Then I saw SAKIDE across the way and the dresses called my name and I knew I had half of my look. After hitting up Collabor88 and finding the boots and nails I knew I was having a good shopping week.

Not to mention Halogen of Half-Deer reading my mind and coming out with these awesome antlers as a group gift, and Rose of .Olive. and her fun Christmas Cookie trays of win I knew I had a fun Christmas look to share!

Buzz Goes The Bee

I was really uber excited about the Bees Through The Seasons Event and obviously with good reason. There are a heaping handful of awesome designers featured in the event all with heaping piles of bee themed goodies that are hard, ney near impossible to pass up. I think for once I may have over accessorized, if there is such a thing.

The bee theme is adorable and so is all of the awesome jewelry that .Olive. and Noodles came up with for the event. Not only was the jewelry epic but so were the pretty bows form Pididdle and the gorgeous skins from Glam Affair. I had such a hard time picking I bought as much as I could and then made it all fit in to my look with a cute bee costume I found at Pixel Dolls ages ago, that still looks adorable and is still for sale to boot! But enough of my ranting, because I am a busy bee and the picture is just a taste of what you can find for sale at the event. But don't just go to shop actually look at the area and the build. They did an epic job with it too, and I had a hard time picking a spot on it for pictures, before I decided simple was best for my purposes.
