Time for my little bit of tradition. As I have the past many years, I joined in on the fun that is the Fallen God and Goddess Election that Fallen Gods puts on every year about this time to celebrate their time spent in SL. Sunday kicked off the festivities and voting has opened in the election. This year was a bit of a recreation from past ideas merged into one and shoved down the path my imagination wanted to take it. I found myself mixing a bit of Disney's Hercules with some Harry Potter magic, and while it wasn't where I saw myself going in the beginning, I am glad it is where I landed. So without further ado I give you my entry before I go back to pimping the contest!

Time for my little bit of tradition. Enchanted Depths

So I happened to find Enchantment a bit enchanting this round and fell in love with the underwater theme. Though I think I took it to the place not many go when they think of "The Little Mermaid".

Paint Me Like One Of Your French Girls

So Fallen Gods is participating in the Magic of Oz Holi Hunt and well after seeing the paint splatter tattoo that is their prize and the paintbrushes in the newest hairs from Olive I was kinda sold on where the look was going. I didn't expect to fully take the turn towards less being more, but it just fit to well to let anything else interfere. Then again this picture pretty much speaks for itself...

Sol Fortunas

Fallen Gods Inc. is celebrating the year of the sun as well as the 2014 Fallen God and Goddess contest. I didn't get a chance to enter since I put all of my time making sure my best friend and partner in crime had an amazing photo. Needless to say, I'm super happy with her photo (pssst, go vote for her!).
So for my own entertainment and enjoyment, I worked to win the Lucky Fortune full avatar that Fallen Gods had out. Not gonna lie, it's pretty awesome. You get both a male and female set in one box, and it includes two skins, two mesh hairstyles, two outfits, accessories, a pair of eyes, and even Slink & Lolas Tango appliers! They really went all out with this avatar and it's totally awesome.

They also have a SUNSHINE hunt going on, so drop by the sim and grab the HUD. There's several store participating and they have some pretty awesome stuff out.
So after I got my hands on all the amazing goodies they had out, I decided to add an extra head piece tot he amazing full avatar Fallen Gods had put out. I posed up all pretty, snapped a picture, then created another piece of art. Thus the fortune of the sun has come forth!

Can't Fight the Moonlight

Well, as it is tradition, I am part of the Fallen God and Goddesses Election this year and I have to show off my entry and expand on the look because that's just how I roll these days. This year my entry literally got in just under the wire and I couldn't have pulled it off without the help of my epic partner in crime Kaylith. This year I moved away from the more defined goddess aspect and moved more towards what felt natural to me at this time of year and I can't say I'm the least bit sorry. I LOVED last years picture and actually had it mostly planned for 6 months waiting for the competition while I honed my skills and Kaylith did the same. This year I looked up and the time to put in my entry was upon us and Kaylith and I looked at each other and went "k, time to do what we do best". So here is what I am going to consider OUR entry since I could not possibly have done it without her help and she didn't have the chance to do one herself.

Stone Cold

Anyone else a fan of Greek mythology? I love the subject. So many people like to portray the gods and goddesses, but no one ever shines light onto the Gorgons. Maybe it's because I love reptiles, or possibly because I think it's completely killer that they had hair made of live, venomous snakes! Well, the whole turning people to stone is pretty amazing too.
But seriously though, check out this hair. It's FANGtastic! Do you want some live snakes to sprout out of your head and chill with you? Well you totally can have some. uLukie made this hair for the Totally Top Shelf event and I think it's seriously so friggin' cool. There five different colors (Blue, Green, Red, Purple & Natural) to choose from. Each color is available separately and it comes with a scaled hair base for a seamless look. It's 100% original rigged mesh and textures. Not to mention the snakes are absolutely friggin' adorable.
In the midst of my going nuts being a snake-lady, I had to figure out what I wanted to wear with it. cStar had released a scale textured type skin for their Miss May skins, and that was too perfect. Of course Fallen God's poisonfish tattoos went well too, as they added that scale element to the body I needed while covering all my naughty bits! From there I geared up with some armor from The Forge and accessorized with carefully crafted jewelry (look at those chains and that snake collar, seriously awesome) from Keystone. I did however play around in photoshop a bit to give myself a fanged bite, so I'm sorry the fangs are not an actual item! SsSsSsSsSsssssss~!

Second Hand Faith

So this post is about a couple things, the pretty outfit I made AND my partner in crime.
First lets talk about Kaylith. My best friend, my other half, my partner in crime, Kaylith Zeurra has been really down on her luck lately. Her life is giving her a metric shit tonne of lemons, and I would love, with the help of amazing people like you, to help turn her lemons into lemonade.

The most recent lemon, the one we can all help to fix is the loss of her computer, her lifeline to help cope with all of her lemons. We are planning a fair type fundraiser on the sim a friend of mine owns and has agreed to let me use for this event. Designers would be able to set up items there to sell at a "Lemonade Stand". The event will start on the 5th of August and run through the 11th. The location will be set up and ready for designers to set up their items from the 1st - 4th of August. Each "Lemonade Stand" will have 15 prims 'attached' to it for the designer to use. The general theme of the fundraiser will be "When Life Gives You Lemons ... Make Lemonade," but items do not need to fit a specific theme. I do understand that this is a rather quick set up event and thus items do not need to be new or exclusive, we just ask that between 25% and 100% of one to five (or more) items would go towards the computer fund. We will provide a split revenue script that will be used to send whatever portion of the proceeds you choose to Kaylith. In the chance that excess funds are raised the excess would go towards other life lemons that Kaylith faces IRL.

Now I know many of you reading this aren't designers, and maybe even don't know many designers, but if you just come check out the event and maybe buy an item or 2 you find that you like it would really help. Okay now on to the pretty! I am so far behind with these epic unicorn parts Half-Deer made for The Arcade last month it isn't even funny! I love them all but these dark parts really called to me when I saw them after I finished squeeeing over all the rainbow variations. And Sn@tch is at it again with her older mesh releases calling to me I just can't stay away and every time I go in to shop I find something that I somehow missed seeing the last time I went shopping.

Cute Poison finally caved in and upgraded to making mesh piercings and I must say she started off rocking it with a bang! She already has at least 3 piercings out and that's just the first week of her having any mesh piercings released! And all of the color options are there included with the hud as well as the fact that they are mega easy to MOD. I am in LOVE!

Fallen Goddess Election

Fallen Gods is having a celebration of the start of their fifth year on the grid in SL and as tradition has it they are kick starting their celebrations with the Annual Fallen Gods and Goddesses Election. This year I decided to throw myself in and see how well I do. I picked the beautiful Depth skin to use because it is one of my favorites form them with all the colors in it, it just called to the rainbow whore in me and I felt I had to use it. I wanted to show off the skin but still keep my modestly, I don't do nakie well RL or SL, so I chose these beautiful silks I found at Deviance that pull out the beautiful teal tones in the skin and accent them beautifully and keep me covered in all the right places. The pose was the hardest part and I ended up getting Kaylith to abuse my avi and bend me to her will with her awesome pose making skills, thus a custom pose that so far only I have because she made me upload it so it was truly one of a kind unless I decide otherwise. First we will show my attempt to create a beautiful goddess-esque picture.

This is not the one I entered into the election though because once I saw what Kaylith had done the above goddess was put to shame. Kaylith's master piece is the one that was entered and is pictured below.

She pulled out the colors in a way that I wish I could with my photography.

Hot and Dangerous!

On the 23rd Fallen Gods announced that their lucky fortune teller is back with a new skin in it. Soon as I saw the picture I went "OMG RAINBOWISH I MUST HAVE!" But is it really ever that easy with Lucky Fortune Tellers? Of course not. Three days later and probably near 100 avatars sitting with me later I finally got it! But I managed to have some fun while I waited for my perfect match! STORY TIME!

A good hour into trying I finally had a Fortune that at least got a few of us laughing...

This was of course a refrence to We R Who We R by Ke$ha. And the song started to get stuck in my head while I got fed up of waiting for my perfect match so I decided to take a break and watch the video on YouTube.

 Well then I got inspired!

So while I waited on my perfect match I ran with scissors and did other silly things to pass the hours of frustration. Finally, this morning, I caught my fellow blogger and former +DV8+ Model friend Aly online and asked her to come sit with me even through she had already blogged the skin cause I was disparately trying to get it from the stupid fortune teller. She agreed to come and sure enough!

But I can't complain everybody loves puppies! And these adorable goof balls are two of the coolest people I know!
