The PENUMBRA Autumn/Winter Fashion Week 2015 has officially begun! With it, it has brought some truly beautiful designs and fantastic live fashion shows, entertainment, and events. I was given the complete honor to be an official blogger and I can say I am completely blown away with the gorgeous designs I was able to play with. Meva's Pipes set includes a necklace and a pair of earrings of stunning quality of the mesh model, texturing, and it's modify! The tones came off as coppery with a bit of gold to me, so I decided to style in an elegant but very sexy style. Zibska's Fiachra set had these shoulder pieces, with the right color combination, were the perfect golden feather accent (that is also acting as a top). For the skirt, I went with a floor length, high-waist one from Peqe, which features a lovely mermaid skirt and a peplum. For makeup I went with a very, very neutral lipstick and a smokey black eyeshadow from Zibska. As for posing, I again created my own pose for the exact body language I desired.

The Evening Blues

And the glimmer of the fire flies.

Blue and yellow are definitely one of my favorite color combinations, partially because I was born in the Ukraine and they're the color of my home country's flag. The other part of the reason is they're beautiful colors alone, but when they're put together, they are eye completely catching. Invert by Finesmith is currently available in two colors, this lovely blue/yellow and a black/red combination. When shopping I almost went with black/red, but I decided to be daring and play with colors I haven't played with in a while. Invert is no modify, unrigged mesh jewelry set that includes a pair of earrings, a headpiece, a necklace, and an armband. Full bright, shiny, and resize is controllable via scripts.
There was a dress from Topazia that I had my eye on, but couldn't for the life of me choose from the eight beautiful colors (Black, Red, Brown, Pink, Copper, Cyan, Purple, & Blue). That is until it clicked, Invert would pair perfectly with this gorgeous gown! Alaina includes a rigged mesh dress and a separate rigged mesh dress collar, both in standard sizing. When it came to hair and makeup I wanted to go with something being a matching color and something being contrasting. I ended up going with a lovely red hair color and lipstick to match, then using one of Zibska's gorgeous neon eyeshadows to pull some yellow into my makeup. I finished the look off with a manicure from Finesmith before I set out to shoot this look.

The Path

It's about time I gave my male avatar a makeover. A good friend of mine pointed me to his favorite skin shop and I found a skin that I instantly loved, and of course had to get it in the palest tone they had. While it isn't as pale as I usually go, I think it's still a lovely skin. Now you may be asking, Kaylith, why are you bringing out your male avatar? Well dear reader, it's because of this here ensemble. As I mentioned in 'Let The Games Begin', this is one of the ensembles that Zibska collaborated with Spartin Parx and Alyx Aerallo to create. I simply couldn't pass up photographing this unique outfit! Corvo Uomo includes a rigged mesh jacket and pants in standard sizing (with alpha layers of course), an unrigged necklace, unrigged shoulderpiece, and unrigged hat. The unrigged pieces are modify and very easy to fit. As always, the texture work beautiful and high quality! I found Zibska's Masha makeup to be surprisingly unisex, so I opted for the black option rather than the guyliner I was first playing with. Initially I was going to go barefoot with this outfit, but I decided to kick it up a notch and grab some footwear from CerberusXing that I had been eyeing for a while now; Sasu Geta is available in several colors that each include a bloody option, with both male and female versions. Once I was dressed and thinking about poses, I decided to drop by Grafica poses and look around. What I found were pretty amazing poses that are perfect for artistic photography as well as blogging! You can probably guess it, but I found a pose that just felt perfect. So from there, I set out to one of my favorite locations for a shoot.

Let The Games Begin

"If it's a game you want, I'll play to win."

Well, the title of this post is a not so subtle Hunger Games reference. We all know if it involves competition, blood, and violence, it's a book (and a show, I guess) I'm interested in. When I stumbled upon this outfit from Zibska, I knew I needed to grab it and set out for a shoot. Flavie (and a few other gorgeous ensembles) are a collaboration with Spartin Parx and Alyx Aerallo; and they're absolutely stunning! Flavie includes a rigged mesh jacket, skirt, and boots for Slink high feet that are no modify, as well as an unrigged modifiable headpiece (that's incredibly easy to fit), alpha layer, and shoe base. This outfit is absolutely gorgeous and high class, so I instantly fell in love with it. I decided to add a fur stole to emphasize the wealthy woman of power feel that this outfit says to me. Still it needed one little thing and I wasn't quite sure until I looked down at my hand in the real world. Duh, I needed an onyx ring! So I grabbed my personal favorite one from Sn@tch, then set out for the shoot.

Daydream In Baroque

"To sleep, perchance to dream."

It's been a little over a week since I've posted, which I entirely blame on my constant business trips and preparing for my upcoming birthday. I've had this look on the back burner for a bit now since I really have not had time to shoot it, but since today was finally a day off, I decided to get my camera out. This entire look was inspired by this beautiful tattoo from White Widow. It comes in three opacities, with appliers for pretty much every mesh body part, so they've got you covered! Overall this tattoo is absolutely beautiful and I'd absolutely recommend it if you're looking for something effeminate and classy. I paired it with a corset from Zenith, which I thought went well, though something was still missing at this point. Then I realized, I got my hands on all the piece of Keystone's Jewel set for Fantasy Gacha Carnival-- in gold even! Jewel has armbands, earrings, a belt, a nosechain (Uncommon), and a headpiece (RARE), in three colors (Silver, Bronze, Gold) to win. It's the last couple days, so if you want it, you better hurry over to FGC! These hairsticks from Aii, The Ugly & Beautiful are also a gacha item, available at Ai Gacha. The common version comes in six colors (Black/Black, Black/White, Gold/Black, Gold/White, Silver/Black, Silver/White), and the rare headresses come in five colors (Crimson, Holy, Moonlight, Night, Shadow). They're unrigged, modifiable mesh so you can fit them to virtually any hair-- just keep in mind they are no copy! I finished the entire look off with one of my favorite liners, then headed to my studio to shoot.

All I Wish Is To Dream Again

Recently I happened upon a store called Topazia while shopping at a previous round of The Instruments. They caught my eye with a unique styled dress (of which I immediately bought) and drew me in to shop at their mainstore. They're high fashion with very elegant designs, so I was definitely delighted with what they had out. However, I'm someone who leans towards darker fashion, so I was eyeing every gown in black. But then I noticed a sign that said limited edition, which piqued my curiosity and I had to go check it out. Lo and behold, there was an outfit I fell in love with, The Dark Angel! There was no question about it, I needed to have it. So, I grabbed my copy, ran home, unpacked it, then got dressed. Out of the box, the outfit comes with a rigged mesh corset in five stand sizes, an alpha layer, a skirt that is a mix of sculpts and mesh, a collar/shoulder piece that is a mix of mesh and sculpts, a mesh dorsal piece, a pair of mesh wings, panties on both the pants and underwear layers, a black lipstick tattoo layer, and a smokey black eyeshadow tattoo layer. Parts of the outfit are modify for easy fitting, while others are no modify. All of the pieces are no copy, which makes perfect sense since the outfit is limited edition (you never know, you might just have a friend that would die to wear this outfit after it's sold out). Overall this outfit is high quality, well textured, and well made; I'm incredibly happy with it. To add my own flair to this outfit, I grabbed a beautiful jewelry set that Zibska currently has out for this month's round of On9. I personally got the full version which has 5 coloursets for the chains and 5 colorsets for the stones, but there's also four single color options available for discount if you're strapped for lindens. When came time to shoot I felt like something was off, but I wasn't sure what. It wasn't until I wandered by No.7 that I found the grand lashes of my dreams! I uttered a squee of excitement before purchasing them and taking time to fit them (which took a few minutes, since they surprisingly are made of prims). Once happy, I set out for the final shoot and with a little help from my friend Grim, was able to achieve my vision.

Once again Zibska has blown me away with another gorgeous outfit for The Instruments. The theme this time around is Beauty in Silence and I think that Zib hit the nail right on the head while retaining her unique signature style. Dilia includes a rigged mesh dress in 5 sizes, rigged heels to fit the Slink high feet, unrigged necklace, unrigged headpiece, and unrigged ring that features an adorable birdie. When I was getting dressed, I thought that the little bird felt lonely, so I ran to Zibska to grab her Aderyn jewelry set. The Aderyn set includes two armbands and a headpiece, and has 12 HUD controlled colors to match almost any outfit. To pull the entire outfit together, I went with this beautiful makeup from White Widow. It's currently available at On9 and comes with five colors included, as well as optional eyeshadow versions. For those of you that use mesh heads, don't fret, there's appliers for Slink, Lelutka, and TMP included! Once I was happy with my style, I set out to one of my favorite locations for a shoot.

Morbid Intentions

This very morbid mind of mine will set your course into and early grave.

It's been a long while since I've played with horns, but getting to play with Aii's new gacha accessories for The Fantasy Gacha Carnival was irresistible. I could have gone with something scarier, but I decided to take a much more elegant approach. I aimed for primarily monotone with touches of red for color. Aii also recently released these fantasy eyebrows that really tickled my fancy; they come in black and white with appliers included. My outfit was nearly complete after I had finally figured out what hair I wanted to use (this voluminous sexy style from Moon), but I couldn't quite figure out what was missing. That is until I laid my eyes on this necklace that Zibska has out for We <3 Roleplay's 2nd birthday! It's elegant, beautiful, has included matching earrings, and comes with several HUD controlled color options. So once I was happy, I brought out one of my favorite structures and just moved a few piece around for the shoot.

Even the most delicate of flowers can have thorns.

Pink? Flowers? It seems like this is a reoccurring theme, but I simple cannot resist. I got my hands on another unique dress from Zibska that simply called my name the moment I laid sight on it. Ninette comes in three colors (Fragola, Robin, Goldenrod) and includes unrigged accessories that feature delicate petals and lethal spikes. This makeup from White Widow went a bit too perfectly, if I do say so myself. It comes with five colors (Pink, Brown, Black, White, Gold) and appliers for mesh heads included. I felt as though something a bit more editorial was needed for this piece, so with one of my favorite Argrac hairstyles, I set out for the shoot.

For this one I wanted to keep it simple and focus on bare beauty, as my attempt for a artistic nude back view. This burlesque cage from Exposeur helped me do exactly that with a sexy and elegant pose. Most when they do artistic nudes, they focus on very bare skin. However, the loveliness and femininity of this tattoo from White Widow stood out to me and I simply had to use it. Soft, curled hair was what I needed for such a neutral look, but not something messy and crazy, so Moon's Kinderfeld style was absolutely perfect.

One Look & You're Mine

Keep your eyes on me.

So Dragon and I definitely went hand in hand at what we bought and hoarded from Pose Fair 2015. One of the things that I know we both saw and went "O..M..G!!" at was this pose prop from WetCat. I couldn't help but to want to play with it. Normally I play boy when it comes to poses like this, but this time I decided I wanted to have a little fun on the pole. With the help of Hadet, my sharply dressed companion, I was able to pull it off in a way I didn't expect. The original concept didn't end up working out, but this is definitely a pleasant surprise. All the while I definitely enjoyed flaunting this gorgeous red lingerie, with lips to match. Not to mention the entire time I was formulating this shoot, I had Mia Martina's song Beast stuck in my head.

Sunshine Daydreaming

Just another flower child.

I was feeling a bit hippy after Dragon's fantastic boho styling and since MOON had like the perfect hair, top, pants, some killer eyeliner, and a matching purse, I went a bit crazy. Speaking of MOON, recently I was honored with a spot on their blogging team and I gotta say it's absolutely awesome! I never knew just how hard it would be to find a good flower crown to match the colors of my outfit, but I found one from Evie's Closet that I loved. All that was left for my outfit was to put on one of my favorite necklaces and some cute flats. Finding a location to shoot the way I envisioned it was difficult, however. It wasn't until I asked in a blogger group chat did a a fantastic gal named Des message me and offer her land for me to pictures on. So I teleported over and was immediately impressed with her land design, she is absolutely talented at landscaping! I was completely thankful, because I was able to capture this look the way I intended.

To Be Heartless

The damnation of my faith in people.

This is definitely a post of artistic expression, drawing from just a couple of my real life physical traits for this look. Moon had the perfect shaped/colored hair and while it does have roots on these particular textures, I still couldn't pass it up. I played with a lot of Zibska's creations for this one, because they had just the right attitude I was looking for. The top is rigged mesh and has matching shorts that are available separately, both coming in eight colors and HUD color controlled. There's also matching boots which have 20 colors and 5 texturable faces, so there's tons of color combinations! They're available at the Black Fashion Fair (April 17th - May 1st). I'm absolutely in love with Zibska's Mallt hand tattoo/nails for Slink hands, which comes in 14 colors, all HUD controlled. Finally the crown is really unique and powerful, coming in 14 colors and HUD controlled as well.

Let me just say right now I'm a table top nerd. If you are in the same realm, you'll know real fast what I channeled in this post. If not, I was running a muck as an unholy sister of battle, heavily inspired by Warhammer 40k. My chainsword was revving, hungering for blood, as I was firing off my bolter into the enemy troops and shouting "FOR THE GLORY OF CHAOS!"

A while ago Heretech had released this full armor set in a variety of colors (including a sponge and tie dye pattern for some reason). It's 100% original, handmade mesh with 100% original textures and specular maps. The corset and neck tubing is rigged while all other pieces are unrigged and modify so you can fit them, with a variety of alpha layers included. After I was armored up I needed to find just the right hair and spent an hour or two looking until I realized that MOON had created the perfect bob style! I was completely jazzed, so I grabbed my final touches. This hand tattoo and nails from Zibska gave me the effect I was looking for (several colors included, not just red), so I grabbed my bolter and chainsword then headed out.

After The Fact

Pain, Lust, and Desire.

You can probably tell exactly what kind of mood I was in, just by looking at this post. I wanted to capture the mood of lust, a very tough subject to capture. The way I wanted to go about it was focusing on the craving, the writhing, and the desire rather than the act and the doing. I played off of a couple of my personal RL kinks to bring this together; shibari bondage, sensory deprivation, ballgags, lingerie, lipstick, and high heels of course! I got these particular ones from a new and upcoming place called Pinks, which their particular style is directed towards femininity and babygirls that love, well, pink! Being a creepy goth/metal chick, I personally opted for the black and red heels, but if you like bright colors, it's definitely a place for you.

Thorns of Dilemma

I'm just going to go ahead and start this post off by saying that goats are pretty cool looking creatures. Now having a unique, one of a kind dress with teeny goats in it? Oh yeah, I love it! Wearing this dress, I felt inspired to go a bit showgirl, but yet I felt like something was missing. During the shoot, My favorite vampire, Dare Munro, had popped online and dropped by to visit me. He seemingly felt like something was off too, which lead him to point me towards EMO-tions hair, where I found the style that jumped out at me. Still something was missing, but I wasn't paying much mind to it-- however, Dare does what the hell he wants and what he basically said "This." It was too perfect!

You may be wondering about this dress. Well, it's Zibska's creation for this month's round of The Instruments, the theme being extreme fashion. It includes the dress base, the skirt, the headpiece, a goat on a stick, and a beautiful matching makeup. The dress base is rigged, coming in standard sizing while the attachments are unrigged, modify, and easy to fit. If you like unique fashion, you'll probably love this dress.

For The Love of Icarus

Fly not close to the sun, lest we fall.

After a very long, stressful, and incredibly busy week I was able to finally sit down and relax. These gorgeous crystallized wings from Aii absolutely floored me the moment I laid my eyes on them. They are actually animated, having a gentle floating bob and accenting particles that give them a true magical feel. They come in five colors (Dark, Fire, Ice, Water, & Winter), and are unrigged, modifiable mesh. I couldn't help but want to take to the skies and fly, just finding the right things to achieve the effect I was going for was a fun little challenge.

I started off at Argrace with their lovely windblown hair, I already owned it in black, so I figured white would be fun to play with. Next, while spoiling one of my best friends to put a smile on her face, I came across a blindfold from Boom. I felt compelled to get the white one. From there I thought, let's play with some whites and greys and just see what happens. I ended up with the look you see here, but I wasn't quite satisfied because the scarves were blown in the other direction-- Thank you Lelutka for making them modify! Since they're sculpted, I was able to manually mirror them and achieve the look I desired. From there, I played and flew around.

With cStar Limited's recent move, the absolutely wonderful artist has released a brand new skin for those of us who love fantasy, pale skin, and pastel colors. This delicate, pink hued fae hybrid with marble eyes is named Elvy and she has a lore of her very own.

"Elvy is a pale fae elf who is connected to nature and at peace with the flowers and trees. Nature keeps her happy and harmonious!  Her closest friends are the creatures of the forest.  She keeps her creative heart close to her skin and enjoys painting pretty and cute flowers on her face.  Her passions are art, yoga, crafting vine jewelry, and archery.  Her immense skills as an archer are what keep her home in the forest safe.  She paints tribal lines on her cheeks from octopus ink.  Though her only weakness is the strong sun during midday.  Her best times are at night.  Her eyes are made of polished marble rocks that were given to her as a gift from a mysterious young man.  She never got his name but he did say one thing to her, "I gift you this...So you may see the world's reflection." This skin is so soft and lovely, she reminded me of a painted porcelain faery figurine I often see in magick shops. Looking at her I couldn't help but think of pink petals of a flower, so I found it fitting I would have her resting in the bounty of nature she loves. Finding the right forest was definitely a task, but I did manage to find one that was perfect. Elvy comes in a total of 10 fair tones (Albino, Baby Shell, Dawn, Ghost Milk, Illusive White, Ivory, Light, Marble, Peal, & Snow Panther) and includes four breast options, a pair of marble eyes, and appliers.

You can definitely see the bit of steampunk influence happening in this post. Typically, it's not really my thing, but I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of completely awesome headphones. They're a collaboration from The Forge for The Secret Affair and are available in an equally awesome gacha. Seriously, every prize in that thing is beautifully made.
