A Different Kind of A'Peel

Peel slowly and see.

Secondlife allows for creative souls to bring their art to life in a 3D medium, and that is exactly what the artist behind Zibska does. Being an artist myself, I completely adore what she creates, including the design of her store building. Recently she had a call for editorial photographers to work with her creations and I felt honored that I was one of the chosen! One of the first designs I laid my eyes on was this dress and it immediately inspired me. When I first laid my eyes on it, it felt familiar for some reason I couldn't quite put my finger on. To my pleasant surprise, I found out that the inspiration behind it was Andy Warhol's cover for the Velvet Underground's first release! So naturally I had pulled out the first two discs of my box set to listen to while I was styling and setting up for the photo.

Cubic Zirconian

Eclectic geometric.

Futurewave started on the 13th of February and will be ending on the 1st of March. Personally I haven't had a lot of time to shop since I've been working on a release with Blue Falcon Industries for the beginning of my newest artistic outlet. However, today I finally got to shop around. Not a lot jumped out at me and I was losing faith until I stepped into Zibska's shop, to which I immediately found an outfit that called out to me-- Amphitrite. The bodysuit had a print design I loved at first sight and the included accessories sealed the deal. I grabbed it, put it on immediately, then popped back to my thinking space where this shot happened.

Obviously I've been listening to a lot of symphonic metal (again), but that's not important right now. Finesmith is celebrating the upcoming spooky holiday with their Halloween Pry. They have eleven white pumpkins hidden around the store, and for 50L each, you can piece together some beautiful full outfits. There are also bonus items like gorgeous headdresses and nails for Slink hands. The Finesmith Halloween Pry lasts from October 22nd - 31st, so get in on it before it's gone!

Abyss of Twilight

Something absolute drew me to formulating this look. Something deep wanted to strive out for a different color, and something in me lead me to Violent Seduction. That is where I found this dress, and that is where I started. Originally I had a long, flowing mermaid kind of hair when I was first putting this together, but when I stumbled upon LCKY I absolutely fell in love. Really, you can ask Dragon just how excited I got! Or maybe you don't want to... Either way, their hair is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I threw on one of my favorite make-ups form Nuuna, then accompanied it with a make-up form Ni.Ju, which I thought really pulled it together. Still, I was missing something... Then it hit me like a frisbee. Pins & Needles made a crown with the perfect shape to it a while back, and with just a little tinting to the gem to make it spring green, it absolutely completed the look.

From there delved into the deeps and wandered, only ever guided by the twilight of the abyss. The stars were incomplete there, beneath the surface. But as I dethroned the fools, the stars did shine so brilliantly.

Red Phantasm

Walking in what seemed like a light rain, turned to a storm that brought a flood that drenched such a beautiful gown. The darkness that followed, only lit by a single light source that had forced one to see nothing but red. It would bring an uneasiness, but a mask could hide it all. Horns could fend off anyone who thought of what really could lie behind the mask, but should they be used?

This post is probably one of my stranger ones, it's entirely base off of emotion. I had felt a strange mixed that left me wanting to portray them, in which I did. I did not intend for this to be blogged at first, but several of my friends said that I absolutely should. So, here we are! I won't ramble on and on for this one, I'd much rather say just a bit and have hope that you enjoy this photo and styling. <3
