The Centipede

I'm going to start this out by saying I'm seriously terrified of centipedes. Of all things to be scared of and so many things I'm not scared of, centipedes get me. So that being said, I was dared to style this Centipede body from Aii. The Centipede includes a tattoo in 8 colors (plus one tintable one), omega and TMP appliers, a rigged mesh body with AO, an unrigged top, unrigged horns, and a color change HUD. There are 11 colors for the shell, 11 colors for the belly, 12 colors for the legs, and 7 colors for the pincher; UV and shadow maps for customization included as well. To top off the dare, Maddy added that I should use gold as a color scheme. Challenge accepted! So off I went in search of what to use. At Dead Dollz I found this gold bodysuit that was sexy, and the way the hips are cut on it worked perfectly with the centipede body and lets the centipede tattoo peek out. At that point it dawned on me that it would match perfectly with Titzuki's pitgirl bracers in gold! I loved the shape of Zibska's Bjorg collar, so with some careful adjustment it fit perfectly. As for cosmetics, I used this eyeshadow from Zibska, nails from Finesmith, and a custom eye stripe I may release later. I must say posing with this tail was a bit difficult, but I managed to make my own pose that just demanded an editorial hair.

The Final Act

I know Halloween is over, but I've been feeling especially creepy kawaii lately so I had to slip in at this this beauty before I decide to fully retire my darker side for the holiday season. And yes I had it ready and waiting longer than I should have but with RL health issues in the family taking over much of my free time for the month I didn't get to spend as much time in SL as I would have liked much less styling and keeping up with all the newness popping up all over. Either which way have a look at what the cat dragged in...

Return To Pripyat

Well, I totally have not been playing a ton of DayZ or anything... Okay, maybe I have. I've had this set from Dead Dollz for a cool minute and it wasn't until recently that it finally spoke to me and said to do something different. I've seen a lot of futuristic styles, more haute styles, but I wanted to go with something leaning a little bit more on the RP side. I went with platform shoes as to keep to the style of the outfit, a bra underneath the scarf, and added in this mesh gasmask from Zibska (30 colors, via HUD). I really enjoy it because of her texture work as well as the spikes around the one eye! Something felt a bit off with all the grey and black however, so I opted to get a little creative with a couple different pieces from Charm (formerly Keystone). The creator behind Charm makes incredibly high quality mesh and perhaps some of the best chains I've see out there to this day, not to mention her products are modify, so you can get the perfect fit! From there I created my pose and set out for a post apocalyptic theme park, but I realized something important-- I was unarmed and completely vulnerable to zombies. Some people go with pistols, some people like shotguns. Me? Yeah, I went with dual SMGs with inferno ammunition.

Muertos Vivientes

"Floral and skeletal."

It's definitely no where near Dia de los Muertos, but yet I still felt inspired to create a look inspired by it. White Widow released this beautifully detail tattoo featuring armbands and a sugar skull, called Desperado. Desperado comes in three opacities and had appliers for almost everything, so White Widow has you covered! I had recently saw a jewelry set on Flickr that was in the same flavor and it took me a bit to hunt it down, but once I did I was pretty happy with how it looked. Santa Muerte by L'Atelier of Jewels is a no modify jewelry set (resize scripted) that includes 3 face tattoos, 1 crown, 1 forehead piece, 2 eye pieces, 2 nose pieces, 1 nose piercing, 2 earrings (which I put in my hair instead), 1 chin piece, and 1 necklace. While I'm normally blonde with blue eyes (like my RL self), I decided to stray from that look for this post and go with black hair and brown eyes; which I thin it turned out quite beautiful. While dress shopping I was indecisive and it was taking several days. But just the other day I went by Dead Dollz to check their mainstore out (since I blogged their item for FahsionTropic) and I happened upon the gown that called out to me. Andalusia was created for Miss V Spain 2015 and includes the extra manton, which was specifically made for the runway. Both the dress and manton are absolutely gorgeous and both come in standard sizing, while the manton comes with both a non-scripted and a scripted pose version. Once I was happy with the style, I set out for a shoot.

Crystal Blue

Not even going to lie, I may be attuned to the darker and alternative fashions, but I'm really loving these gorgeous tropical designs. We still have a couple of days until FashionTropic opens on the 7th, but you can expect tons of beautiful designs. This dress from Dead Dollz is one of my favorites so far. It is a lovely mermaid skirt with a long sleeve croptop in a sunny yellow and sky blue ombre. It is no modify rigged mesh, coming with five standard sizes. I accessorized it with Poute's Plumeria Flower Hair Piece which will also be available at FashionTropic, and Zibska's Liesel set which is currently out for a Game of Thrones inspired medieval event. Liesel is an unrigged, modifiable jewelry set that includes a pair of earrings, a collar, and a necklace that all come with 10 metal and 10 stone colors controlled via HUD. For hair and cosmetics I went with one of my favorite moon hairs (which is a beautiful fishtail braid), my favorite eyeliner in SL, eyeshadow from Zibska, and Ghee's Tropical Mix Nails which are part of Ghee's Mix & Match Beachwear collection. I really loved how this look came together, so I ran over to a lovely tropical beach for a quick shoot.
