Start Another Story

Well I have spent the last month thinking things over and have come to decide that this will be my last "blog post". I have been slowly fading already with my switch to working based on inspiration rather than pumping out posts with items I was handed, and I am coming to realize SL isn't the inspiration it once was. SL will still have a part of me and I will still be on once in awhile, but the draw of being on for endless hours is gone for me. I have made great friends over the years and had much fun, but now RL holds more appeal. When inspiration hits you will still be able to find pictures on my Flickr and I will probably still fully credit them there, minus the landmarks. But thank you for taking part of this journey with me over the past 5 or so years, no matter how brief or late your visit may be. So long and thanks for all the fish!

Saving Me

Well vacation is over, time for me to get back to blogging and I have to say I fell in LOVE with this look I assembled right before I left and couldn't wait to show it off. It was getting to be one of those times where my creativity was waning, but the Nu-Coven Gacha from Cute Poison and Kenvie put that spark back and I think I made it grow into a nice little flame for now.

Control Freak

So, I may have found my way into Fetish Fair, and my not have been able to walk away without some latex. But hey it's sexy shiny latex goodness it is hard to resist by definition! Soul release her new generation of Drow skins this past week, and it's hard to resist showing off a good skin. You Spin Me Right Round

So anyone that gets to know Kaylith knows she has a -thing- for Harley Quinn, probably has something to do with the clown like aspects but hey I won't judge. And well it has rubbed off on me to the point I'm actually reading the comics and have become rather obsessed with the red and black trouble maker myself. All this leads to silly ideas that start to come together when a knife throwers assistant outfit comes out the same time a Joker themed knife wheel. Now some more side not back story as to WHY my manic giggle escape my throat as the photo was forming in my minds eye. If you haven't seen The Devils Carnival you should get on it because it really is masterfully done and the way they bring Aesop's Fables to life are marvelous! But back to my point the story like of the scorpion and the frog is probably my favorite of the stories that they bring to like and it might have to do with the role Emilie Autumn plays, but if you have seen the movie you see how it ties to this post without me giving out any spoilers. Then the fact that the Joker themed wheel fell into my hands and well just about everyone that knows who Harley and Joker are knows their relationship woes so the plot thickened and I dragged my favorite partner in crime into my plots. Anyway enough of my rambling time to reveal the work of art that Kaylith photographed and edited.

Captive Audience

Some posts take longer to simmer than others and this is one of those that was made in advance and has to sit for a bit for i to settle into it's final state. I was goofing around after discovering alaskametro<3 at Indie Teepee and shopping for all of the things in their shop and this look just started to fall together. Then Kaylith insisted she be the one to take the pic and I had to wait for her RL to fall where it does for the magic to take and I have to say it is worth the wait. But back to alaskametro<3 while I have your full attention. I am in love! I was pleasantly surprised by the skin I got from Indie Teepee but the variety and color pallets in her store have me hooked and I will be coming back for more for sure! Defiantly worth checking out especially if you love colors as much as I do.

Underneath The Water

So between packing for another move IRL and other distractions I almost missed getting this post out before the events finished, but I didn't and you need to stop what you are doing and run to We <3 Role-Play and the Fantasy Faire TODAY before they close. Especially Fantasy Faire since there are many Faire Exclusives you wont be able to get once the fair closes and I'm only showing off a couple that got my attention right away. Soul got my attention with the bright colors and it was hard to choose just one, but in the end I settled on this beautiful teal limited edition that had the entire proceeds going to Relay For Life. After that I had to figure out how not to cover up the gorgeous markings all over the beautiful skin, while still keeping to my self imposed coverage I keep on my blog and I lucked out again while wandering the Faire. Storybook came out with tentacles that fit the bill and  happened to be colorful enough to match and point my attention to the water. Wander

I've noticed in my photos I almost always have black or blonde hair, the rare exception being red or some sort of vibrant color, but I never really play with brown hair. So with different shades of brown in mind, I decided to style something different. What I ended up with is something with a touch of boho, a touch of higher fashion, and touch alternative with hint of black.
Just remember: Not all who wander are lost.

The Switch

It's nearly time for the Skin Fair! Are you excited? Well, I certainly am. Joli will have this gorgeous skin line available at Skin Fair 2016. If you know me, you know that my base skin is always Joli. I'm blown away with this new line, I am loving the shading on the face, the shape of the lips, and the eyebrows. There are a total of 10 tones, each having 5 eyebrow options except for Alabaster, Vampire, and Cafe, which only have 3 eyebrow options; all skins have two cleavage options. The skins come with 10 lipgloss options and some eyeliner options, with system layers, TMP, and Omega appliers included. For the skin there are a ton of appliers included for most mesh bodies, an eyebrow shaper, and a modfiable shape for Maitreya. All of this while not breaking the bank! I decided to keep my style simple to show off the beauty of this skin, so for makeup I used the eyeliner and lipgloss included. For my outfit, I wanted something simple but tastefully sensual. I went with a rope harness I got a long while ago, and a fur stole from Aii! Little Bones had the perfect playful, sexy hair that gave attitude to this simple styling.

The Future Is Bulletproof, The Aftermath Is Secondary

The event I've been impatiently waiting is finally here! Multiverse is open until the 15th and is packed full of cyber fashion goodies and all sorts of goodies that come to mind when you think of your favorite Sci-Fi media. As soon as I saw the skin Soul was releasing and the cybernetic arm from SWaGGa I KNEW exactly what direction to take with my styling.

But of course you cant stop there. Where there is latex around I will play and MV never ceases to amaze me with the detail in their texture work. And of course no look is complete without accessories and the perfect nail polish, yes I know I have a nail polish problem don't judge, so I had to compleate the look with one of the most perfectly cyber eye pieces I have ever seen from HopScotch and the beautiful polish form Konfin Nails.

The Centipede

I'm going to start this out by saying I'm seriously terrified of centipedes. Of all things to be scared of and so many things I'm not scared of, centipedes get me. So that being said, I was dared to style this Centipede body from Aii. The Centipede includes a tattoo in 8 colors (plus one tintable one), omega and TMP appliers, a rigged mesh body with AO, an unrigged top, unrigged horns, and a color change HUD. There are 11 colors for the shell, 11 colors for the belly, 12 colors for the legs, and 7 colors for the pincher; UV and shadow maps for customization included as well. To top off the dare, Maddy added that I should use gold as a color scheme. Challenge accepted! So off I went in search of what to use. At Dead Dollz I found this gold bodysuit that was sexy, and the way the hips are cut on it worked perfectly with the centipede body and lets the centipede tattoo peek out. At that point it dawned on me that it would match perfectly with Titzuki's pitgirl bracers in gold! I loved the shape of Zibska's Bjorg collar, so with some careful adjustment it fit perfectly. As for cosmetics, I used this eyeshadow from Zibska, nails from Finesmith, and a custom eye stripe I may release later. I must say posing with this tail was a bit difficult, but I managed to make my own pose that just demanded an editorial hair.

Guys! Guys! I can finally share why I was really slow to pick up blogging this month! The first week of December I was selected to take part in the December issue of ECLIPSE Magazine's Ways to Wear section. This round was special because it pits bloggers against certified models. So I was assigned three different items and had to come up with a look for each of them. You may noticed I'm more more tan than I usually am! There is reason for this. A new skin and cosmetic store by the name of Insol has popped up. I was given the honor of reviewing one of their skins, by the name of Chris. After carefully looking over the entire skin, I can say that it is high quality with excellent detailing and absolutely no ugly seams anywhere I could find. Chris has a youthful look with plump lips and shapely eyebrows, her form being toned and sprinkled lightly with freckles. She includes two cleavage option tattoo layers, two face freckle tattoo layers, a body freckle tattoo layer, four eyebrow options, and omega appliers. Chris is available in 7 tones, Apricot, Beige, Bronze, Fair, Golden, Ivory, and Tanned. Personally, I like to be pale, so I chose the lightest tone, Ivory. To style, I kept it very simple. I used a messy, buy covering hair from Magika and part of Charm's Sylth jewelry set. Sylth is currently available at The Fantasy Collective and it is NOT a gacha, but a full jewelry set! Sylth include a headpiece, a pair of armlets, a pair of earrings, a chain sash harness (standard sizing + unrigged), and a belt; all with two metal options (silver, gold) and five gem options controlled via HUD. As always, Charm's products are modify so you can get the absolute perfect fit. I decided to skip makeup past my eyelashes, as to let the natural beauty of the skin be shown.

Amaranthine

Sadly, the Halloween season has come to a close, but my love for all things dark and spooky still thrives on ever stronger. Azul definitely celebrated the joy of the spooky spirit with creating her Julie gown! There is a limited edition Halloween version, but I actually opted to play with a different color. This pink for some reason just stood out to me with the vibrancy of the color. Azul's Julie gown includes a rigged mesh body suit and gloves (both in standard sizing), a pair of unrigged wings, flexi skirt pieces, a flexi skirt train, and a tiara. I decided to styling it using Finesmith's Hamara jewelry in silver, as to pull the white pearls of the tiara throughout the outfit. I felt that some sheer, lace top stockings would be appropriate here and really add an effeminate sense of sexy. I finished off the outfit with these sexy wrap heels, lucious lipstick, and dark smokey eyeshadow from Zibska. Zibska's Ricana lips includes 36 shades of lipstick, with LeLutka, TMP, and Catwa appliers. I've noticed that both the Azul and Zibska dark color palettes like to mesh well with each other. Last, I needed to look for the right hair. I had something on while styling, but it just wasn't quite right! Little Bones just so happened to have just what I was looking for out at Uber. Creme is a very soft, fluffy hair that just looked too perfect in my preferred shade of blonde; I have to say the new textures are absolutely gorgeous. Speaking of Little Bones, I was one of the lucky few that made it onto the waiting list; then yesterday I logged on to a big surprise. I had been invited to the official Little Bones blogging group! Needless to say I'm exciting and I cannot wait to create art with this masterfully crafted hair. From there I ended up making my own editorial pose and crafted my own scene.

The Guardian

This month has been an incredibly busy one, so I have been lacking on blogging as much as I really should have been. So to make up for it, I decided to style up and create a sexy fantasy look-- not very effective for combat really. That is unless I was in an MMO, then this would be some of the higher level armor, probably. Take a look at that headpiece though, it is the Demon Hido Horns from Aii, which includes unrigged mesh horns in 18 colors and unrigged feathers in 2 colors, both modify and excellent for a demon character or as decorative armor! I opted to use it with some gorgeous armor pieces from The Forge (which are also modify), and this jewelry set from Charm. Charm currently has her Runyan jewelry out for The Fantasy Gacha carnival, which has a headepiece (rare), a harness, armlets, earrings, and a belt (all commons) in 3 metal colors (gold, silver, copper) that can be won. As for the shoot, I decided to once again make my own pose, then go pose with a pretty golden tinted sword in a lovely forestry area.

Back To 1939

When the talented soul behind White Room Couture gave me the opportunity to blog some of her exclusives for the PENUMBRA A/W FW 2015, I was completely excited and honored! She created some amazing designs, but the one that really stood out to me was this colorful dress called 1939. 1939 is a rigged mesh dress that is no modify, comes in standard sizing, and include and alpha. I really loved the colors, style, and detailing of the dress I couldn't resist styling it. My dear friend Madeleine, who is a truly talented stylist, said that I should style it with true accuracy and authenticity. So with many hours of searching for all the right pieces and Maddy's valuable advice, I stepped right back in time, all the way to the 1930's! Yet again I made my own pose, because not much was pleasing me in achieving what I was going for. Resonance

The PENUMBRA Autumn/Winter Fashion Week 2015 has officially begun! With it, it has brought some truly beautiful designs and fantastic live fashion shows, entertainment, and events. I was given the complete honor to be an official blogger and I can say I am completely blown away with the gorgeous designs I was able to play with. Meva's Pipes set includes a necklace and a pair of earrings of stunning quality of the mesh model, texturing, and it's modify! The tones came off as coppery with a bit of gold to me, so I decided to style in an elegant but very sexy style. Zibska's Fiachra set had these shoulder pieces, with the right color combination, were the perfect golden feather accent (that is also acting as a top). For the skirt, I went with a floor length, high-waist one from Peqe, which features a lovely mermaid skirt and a peplum. For makeup I went with a very, very neutral lipstick and a smokey black eyeshadow from Zibska. As for posing, I again created my own pose for the exact body language I desired.
