You Spin Me Right Round

So anyone that gets to know Kaylith knows she has a -thing- for Harley Quinn, probably has something to do with the clown like aspects but hey I won't judge. And well it has rubbed off on me to the point I'm actually reading the comics and have become rather obsessed with the red and black trouble maker myself. All this leads to silly ideas that start to come together when a knife throwers assistant outfit comes out the same time a Joker themed knife wheel. Now some more side not back story as to WHY my manic giggle escape my throat as the photo was forming in my minds eye. If you haven't seen The Devils Carnival you should get on it because it really is masterfully done and the way they bring Aesop's Fables to life are marvelous! But back to my point the story like of the scorpion and the frog is probably my favorite of the stories that they bring to like and it might have to do with the role Emilie Autumn plays, but if you have seen the movie you see how it ties to this post without me giving out any spoilers. Then the fact that the Joker themed wheel fell into my hands and well just about everyone that knows who Harley and Joker are knows their relationship woes so the plot thickened and I dragged my favorite partner in crime into my plots. Anyway enough of my rambling time to reveal the work of art that Kaylith photographed and edited.

Untouched

I never thought I'd say I'm sad it's Saturday. But I am, for it is the last day of the PENUMBRA Autumn/Winter Fashion Week 2015. There has been a plethora of amazing shows and fun festivities thus far, so it's time to go out with a bang! Why not drop by and join the fun? That and if you haven't dropped by to go shopping yet, you're about to seriously miss out.
I must say I'm loving blackLiquid's exclusive, which is a unisex outfit. It's a beautiful mix of soft and elegant, and definitely high fashion. It includes a rigged mesh bodysuit, tanktop, and pants that all come in standard sizing, as well as an unrigged hat, necklace, earrings, back piece, chest piece, shades, and cuffs. The bodysuit is very sleek, form fitting, with a nicely done loose fabric effect at the wrists and ankles. The unrigged pieces are very detailed, but no modify. However, they include a resize script that I found easy to use in fitting the pieces to my avatar. Overall I felt the outfit to be rather ethereal, so I styled my own take on it. I chose a soft pink eyeshadow from Zibska, my favorite eyeliner, face makings from Nunna that I tinted to match the eyeshadow, a shiny gloss from Blacklace, and glossy nails from A:S:S. I was happy with my style, though I decided not to use my normal blue eyes, but rather these pink ones to give a bit of a supernatural effect. PosESioN happened to have a pose with the perfect attitude and just what I was looking for!

Disassociative

This leather cloak top was another one of those things I proclaimed "I need this in my life!" as soon as my eyes laid upon it. Wayne released this beautiful, rigged mesh dress that comes in standard sizing, and features these built in mesh arms for the chic hands-in-pockets look. Isn't it to DIE for? I decided to pair it with Zibska's Axelle leggings, which to me are pretty dang sexy and comes with 30 colors controllable via HUD. Initially I was playing with a dark cobalt, but my friend Drexia inspired me to play with this pinkish hue. Because Zib is friggin' awesome (and we all know it), her Adelie Lips color palette matches her Axelle legging's palette spot on! So with some smokey eyeshadow (also from Zibska) and one of my favorite eye stripes from Nuuna, I had the look I wanted. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with eye stripes lately, but it definitely makes this look teeter the brink of Gothic and Urban Chic.

Damned And Divine

Zibska never ceases to amaze me with what stunning and unique jewelry she releases. For this round of On9, Zibska has released Lilit, a gorgeous necklace and earring set. It comes with a necklace, a collar, and a pair of earrings. The necklace beads have 8 colors and the stones have 12 colors, both controlled via HUD. Since it had this gorgeous garnet, I decided to go redhead goth with my style. The outfit came together quite quickly, but what I initially had I was feeling as though something was a little off. I asked a my dear friend Baron Santino his opinon, and he suggested I change the eyes. I ended up going with this supernatural, icy blue that I really love with this look. It fits a bit too well, I'd say. Thank you, Mr. Santino! I must say though, I am really in love with Zibska's Blacktop lips. They have this grey that is a to DIE for two toned goth lipstick. As for the shoot, PosESioN had the right pose I was looking for fierce and sexy lean.

Illusory Allure

It is about time that I play with white and gold again. What better way than with an elegant jewelry set that so perfectly accentuates the feminine form? Charm has created this beautifully detailed set called Skye, which is currently available as a gacha for The Gathering. There is a headpiece, harness (with 5 standard sizes and unrigged version included), belt, earrings, and armlets in three metals (copper, gold, silver) to be won. All of the pieces are modify, so you can be sure to get the perfect fit. I decided to pair the jewelry with an equally as beautiful posture collar from Aisling that is currently out for this month's round of ROMP. It is rigged mesh, including six colors for the collar and four colors for the metal, controlled via HUD. There is also an Open Collar version included! For the sake of keeping naughty bits hidden, I went with the simple but lovely mesh panties that are included with the Maitreya Lara body, then built a quick pair of prim pasties to give the illusion of what lies beneath, while incorporating the colors of the look. I'll probably throw those up on MP as a freebie or if not, just contact me and I'll toss them to you. Finally, I finished off the look with this beautiful scarf from Aii, Zibska's whisper lips and Leia, a soft smokey eyeshadow. I didn't make my own pose for this one, since PosESioN had the perfect pose to complete what I envisioned.

Lies Can Be Beautiful

Would you rather a beautiful, comforting lie over the harsh, ugly truth?

Zibska released this mesh floral jewelry set by the name Scaramouche that made my heart jump with joy. This particular style is one that is near and dear to my heart, so I was excited to play with it. Most everyone I noticed was going with the dark colors, which they have all done stunning work, but I felt as though the lighter palette in the color change HUD (Which has 20 colors, 10 light and 10 dark) was being ignored. So I decided to focus up more on it and incorporate a bit of my darker style into it still. What I ended up with was a symbolic styling, representing that lies can be beautiful (the flowers and lipgloss), but everything you say leaves a mark (the smeared makeup), your true intention can be seen in your eyes, and lies creep and spread (the lashes).

Great Big White World

I don't know why it is, but for some reason I keep finding myself letting out my vampire side into my blogging. Before you ask, Tzimisce. But, this outfit is another example of the different looks you can craft with Zibska's creations. The blazer, skirt, and necklace is a previously released outfit set called Angele. Angele includes a rigged mesh skirt and blazer in five standard sizes, an alpha, and her Estee necklace and earrings in silver. I chose Zibska's Lena 06 lingerie set (which comes with Belleza and Maitreya appliers) to go underneath, because I loved the print and shape of the bra. For boots, bing you guessed it, Zibska again! I'm completely in love with her Svea thigh highs, but that could be my love for thigh high boots speaking for me. Moon's Boa hair was the perfect loose updo for a bit of that sexy factor, plus their white with dark roots was perfection. For a bit more of an edge, I added in White Widow's insidious tattoo, which features a striking owl that sat perfectly framed in the blazer and necklace. For makeup (you guessed it) I went with different sets from Zibska and my favorite liner from cStar Limited, then finished it off with nail polish from Finesmith.

Diamond In The Rough

Sometimes the best gems are hidden deep within and just need a little pressure to show themselves and their true colors. Sometimes those gems are just under the surface and reveal themselves with just a little bit of work. NeverWish is one of those gems that was hiding in plain sight that I just happened to trip over and fell down a rabbit hole with. The necklace she had out at The Lexi Project got my attention and the Gachas kept me in her store and drooling all over the place for a hot minute. Once I had finally nabbed a few of the same colors among the different pieces I got to work.

Not shown are the awesome matching crystal heels. I bought a pair and haven't taken them off I just couldn't find a pose that did the whole look justice in once frame, so instead of taking another picture to feature them I picked the lazy way and am telling you to go check them out because they are just as awesome as the pieces I showed off above.

Albino Accompaniment

More often than not when I'm not styling and working on a post, I'm stark white with red or yellow eyes. This morning I chose to wear my red ones and I kid you not, a couple hours later CerberusXing put out this adorable albino squid named Ika. Needless to say, I was really excited to have a pet to match me! It wasn't expected in the group chat that Ika and I really did match pretty spot on. I'm thrilled with my new squid buddy to keep me company while I sit around in my favorite Zibska lingerie and work on my projects with the Audace Sirens. The comforting bubbles were a nice touch.

Remember Tomorrow

I've become quite fond of beautiful gowns and how flawlessly some designers intermingle mesh and flexi-prims. -AZUL- is one of the few designers that has mastered this art, combined with hand painted textures that completely floor me with the attention to detail. I feel completely honored to have been chosen to be apart of the official blogging team for designs of such high caliber and artistry. This gorgeous gown is called Ohana and was carefully crafted for Miss SL Vietnam and comes in 14 stunning colors. Ohana is a rigged mesh gown in standard sizing, including flexi-prim attachments that are resizeable via scripts. For my styling I chose to pair this gown with this elegant jewelry set from Zibska that's highly detailed with beautiful swirls and delicate gems. Claudia is an unrigged, modifiable jewelry set available at The Secret Affair (until august 14th) that includes a collar, necklace, and a pair of earrings. Both the metal and the gems have 10 colors, controlled via HUD. For makeup, Zibska wowed me with what she had out at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair! Rei is a bright eyeshadow that includes 12 colors and appliers for the TMP head. Delice is a shiny lipgloss that includes 30 colors and appliers for the LeLutka head, needless to say I'm kind of in love with them. I finished off the look with a high pony and my favorite gold nail polish from Finesmith that's absolutely to die for.

I Will Not Bow

So in case you have been under a rock like I was last week and have missed the first few day of The Lexi Project I hope you will climb out form under said rock and do some shopping for a good cause like I did. If you haven't heard the creator behind AngelRED Couture got some rather crappy news news at the end of June, she has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. And we all know that cancer sucks, which is why when one of our own gets hit with a nasty curve ball and opens up to us as a community we do what we can to help them win their fight. Thus the creation of The Lexi Project. Over 300 creators in SL have banded together to create this event that has 100% of profits going straight to Lexi to help her pay her medical bills through this tough time. So please if you have the urge to go on a SL check out The Lexi Project and allow your L$ to go to a good cause, or if you don't get the urge to buy all the purple things in SL you can donate L$ through one of the various kiosks, or donate directly on her GoFundMe page. Like A Moth To The Flame

So I'm sporadic at best and as it is I am typing this with Kaylith sitting next to me yelling at me for slacking off and having to blog on Vacation because I failed to do it before hand and we are suppose to be off in the corner relaxing and instead I am staring at SL making a pretty for you all... But hey the pretty is worth it and I actually got to watch her help me for once as she worked her magic so it's not a total loss. So with out further ado I shall show you what dragged me back to the computer to play with before I run back off to vacation and all of the relaxation.

A Lost Flower

Despite having a great love for them, I do not play with bright or neon colors as much as I should. Tiffany Designs put out a beautiful Summer Gown in four colors (Azul, Pink, Yellow, Black), all with gorgeous pink/orange accents. The Summer Gown includes legacy clothing layers, a rigged mesh skirt panel in five standard sizes, a rigged mesh skirt in standard sizes which are all no modify, but the unrigged skirt ruffles and chest piece are modify and includes a delteable resize script for easy fitting. For makeup, I decided to accent the colors of the dress with a sexy noir eyeshadow from Zibska (which is currently at Project Limited, so you better hurry to get you copy!) and some beautifully bright lipstick from Nova. For jewelry I went with Zibska's Liesel set minus the necklace to really bring out the orange in the flowers. I adore Zibska's stone texture, it has the perfect tones to go with almost anything! For hair I went with a very simple updo, as not to detract from the intricacy of the chestpiece. Admittedly, finding a pose for this gown was a challenge because I didn't want to go with a simple pose, I wanted emotion and attitude! Posesion was my savior, so I set out for a shoot.

Stairway To Oasis

White and gold is definitely one of my more favorite combinations, Lyrical B!zarre created a stunning gown for FashionTropic in that lovely combination, featuring a gorgeous palm print. This gown is so soft and flows so beautifully, it's definitely one that I am going to find myself wearing again and again. But can you believe this is actually a template? Yes, they're selling this 100% original creation as a full permission template that you can create your own version with! It was jaw dropping to me because the package includes the gown in five standard sizes, an unrigged mesh belt, unrigged mesh earrings, and a flexi piece that's done just right. I decided to keep my style for this beautiful dress a bit more simple, as not to go gaudy and detract from it. White Widow had the perfect makeup to go with, in the perfect shade even; but that's not a big surprise there, their color palette has never once disappointed me. Belle comes with 5 colors (Silver, Champagne, Cyan, Red, Black), 2 options (with and without eyeshadow), and includes appliers for the Eve Visage, Slink Visage, Lelutka, and TMP mesh heads. For lipstick I went with one of Nova's Izobel lipsticks since it was quite the nice offset in color. The Izobel lipsticks include 9 shades with 2 sizes (for skins that have larger lips), Loud Mouth, Nyam Nyam, and Sweet Lips appliers. Then believe it or not, this beautiful hair was actually a free full fatpack gift from Murray at Hair Fair 2015! It doesn't seem Murray has an in world or marketplace store up just yet, but I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye open. I ended up finding a PosESioN pose that worked beautifully with the gown, then headed out for a shoot.
