Time for my little bit of tradition. As I have the past many years, I joined in on the fun that is the Fallen God and Goddess Election that Fallen Gods puts on every year about this time to celebrate their time spent in SL. Sunday kicked off the festivities and voting has opened in the election. This year was a bit of a recreation from past ideas merged into one and shoved down the path my imagination wanted to take it. I found myself mixing a bit of Disney's Hercules with some Harry Potter magic, and while it wasn't where I saw myself going in the beginning, I am glad it is where I landed. So without further ado I give you my entry before I go back to pimping the contest!

Get To The Pointe

So most of the reason it has taken me all month to get this post done is because I was moving. Every weekend has included moving activities from packing, to physically moving, to cleaning up the old place so we didn't lose the deposit and the weekdays in between working and settling in. But I'm finally all moved and had the time to finish up the pose and picture taking so I can finally fully show off my latest twist of my imagination.

I may have gotten a wild Kaylith-like hair up my butt, but I still have to say I enjoyed creating this look. The shoes started me down this path and the headdress just kind of carried me over the edge.

Entwining Corruption

Zibska lately has been making darker oriented pieces that have been making my gothic little heart want to beat out of my chest. A while a go she posted an artpiece featuring these horns that had me excited for their release. Finally they were released along with a collar and spiked paldron set, and a stunning dress covered in branched and birds for the October round of We <3 Roleplay. Both Algar and Bjorg are unrigged, modifiable attachments with 30 stunning color options, controlled via HUD. I decided to use the collar from the Bjorg set with the Algar horns since it was too perfect of a fit. Since I've been delving into the darker parts of my mind  more often than not lately, I reflected it in my style, but I did keep my blonde hair as to break up all the darkness and give a lovely contrast to it. As for eyes however, most would think to go with red eyes, however I felt some piercing yellow eyes were a bit more unsettling for this look. I went with an extreme mesh liner from Glam Affair, smokey eyeshadow from Zibska, some 'warpaint' from Nuuna, and an accentuating lip line also from Zibska. As for further accessories, I tied it in with Zibska's Mallt hand tattoo with pointed nails and these delightfully painful arm piercings from CerberusXing. Is it apparent that I like the shade black and spikes yet?

Dark Premonition

"She's going to lure you into her grasp, rip you to shreds, and make you love it."

The Nightmare Event is right around the corner (Otc. 1st)! That being said, Aii is releasing some pretty amazing things that I decided to channel just a hint of Queen of the Damned with. With how perfectly her tattered wrappings go with her thorny succubus outfit, I couldn't resist but to pair them together just moments after I had gotten my claws on them. Her tattered wrappings are rigged mesh with an unrigged blindfold, coming with 7 colors included (though the thorny succubus garment only has 3 color options). Another one of the items she is releasing for the Nightmare Event is this Dream Weaver's Eye, which rests on the chest and is slightly disturbing in my opinion (probably why I love it so much). The Dream Weaver's Eye comes with an unrigged, animated mesh eye that has 14 color options, two chest tattoo options, and appliers for TMP, Maitreya, and Belleza. This style really came together quickly, but something felt a little off about what I had. Talking to my dear friend Madeleine, she pointed out that I should opt for a reddish lipstick instead of noir, go with a different color for the chest eye, and needed something to break up the bare skin. After putting our heads together, it was concluded that a tattoo was needed and with her absolutely amazing skills in styling she helped me find the perfect one-- a vicious looking Eastern dragon! It fit so perfectly in placement, shape of the body to match my hair and the wrappings, and horns to compliment mine.

Sugar And Spice

Sometimes you just have to try something out of the normal and this time I tried to channel a piece of my more kawaii days... But of course I couldn't just jump straight there, I added in the bit of edge I seem to be feeding off of these days for a more bubbly creepy goth kawaii look and feel and I have to say I think it suits me. At least when the light hits the pink hair just right and you can see mischievous sparkle back in my eyes.

Diamond In The Rough

Sometimes the best gems are hidden deep within and just need a little pressure to show themselves and their true colors. Sometimes those gems are just under the surface and reveal themselves with just a little bit of work. NeverWish is one of those gems that was hiding in plain sight that I just happened to trip over and fell down a rabbit hole with. The necklace she had out at The Lexi Project got my attention and the Gachas kept me in her store and drooling all over the place for a hot minute. Once I had finally nabbed a few of the same colors among the different pieces I got to work.

Not shown are the awesome matching crystal heels. I bought a pair and haven't taken them off I just couldn't find a pose that did the whole look justice in once frame, so instead of taking another picture to feature them I picked the lazy way and am telling you to go check them out because they are just as awesome as the pieces I showed off above.

Albino Accompaniment

More often than not when I'm not styling and working on a post, I'm stark white with red or yellow eyes. This morning I chose to wear my red ones and I kid you not, a couple hours later CerberusXing put out this adorable albino squid named Ika. Needless to say, I was really excited to have a pet to match me! It wasn't expected in the group chat that Ika and I really did match pretty spot on. I'm thrilled with my new squid buddy to keep me company while I sit around in my favorite Zibska lingerie and work on my projects with the Audace Sirens. The comforting bubbles were a nice touch.

The Nexus

     It's been a while since JOLI has been open, but the wonderful and talented creator behind JOLI has decided to once again open her shop up and I'm completely excited! I was honored with a spot in her blogger list and I couldn't be more thankful, I adore her work. With the reopening she is has also put out a new group gift for the ladies- Raquel, a lovely bare face skin in a grey tone. Personally, the moment I saw it I wanted to go drow, but then I accidentally put on a different makeup than intended... and it just felt right. As I changed my contacts (eyes), I thought, dang this would be perfect for an android. So with my favorite catsuit from Moyet, a beautiful corset set from Rosal that I got for my birthday, and a hair from A&Y that I've been eyeing for a while, it all fell into place.
     When it came to looking for a location, I realized that the sim I've been helping work on would be absolutely perfect. ShadowRun ReAwakened is a new photogenic roleplay sim that's in the works. As the name portrays, it is inspired by the ShadowRun games (which if you haven't played them, you're missing out). For those that don't know, the theme of the sim is scifi and it takes place in 2060. It's not open to the public yet, but when it is you're going to see a sim unlike any other! It uses zero prefabs, only original and professionally made mesh, created by our talented building team. I can't say much right now, but if you like interactive, immersive roleplaying sims, you're going to love SRR! If you want updates, you can join the OOC group. Not to mention, once the sim is open, they are blogger and photographer friendly-- Just make sure to wear an OOC tag and don't interrupt the roleplayers!

Come To Me

This is another outfit I've had on the backburner. I love this dress from Zibska to death, but it wasn't until recently I was able to put together the look I was feeling-- just not seeing until now. Cynthia is a sexy, and rather kinky, little number. Cynthia include a rigged mesh dress in standard sizing, non-rigged, modify shoulder pieces, bustle, and a crop that are very easy to fit. Initially I had some thigh highs with this outfit, but I noticed that Zibska had some high platform boots that were to die for. Svanhildr comes with ten colors and three color change faces (leg, accent, platform) controlled via HUD for easy customization. As far as the hair and glasses combo goes, I definitely drew inspiration from both Gaga and Manila Luzon, plus it's really just a fiercely sexy combination in my opinion. After popping on some spiked earrings (that are unrigged, modify, and available in gold, black, and silver) I put on some black lipstick with dark red over the top to finish it all off. So once it was complete, I snatched a new pose from PosESioN and set out to my studio for a shoot.

The Path

It's about time I gave my male avatar a makeover. A good friend of mine pointed me to his favorite skin shop and I found a skin that I instantly loved, and of course had to get it in the palest tone they had. While it isn't as pale as I usually go, I think it's still a lovely skin. Now you may be asking, Kaylith, why are you bringing out your male avatar? Well dear reader, it's because of this here ensemble. As I mentioned in 'Let The Games Begin', this is one of the ensembles that Zibska collaborated with Spartin Parx and Alyx Aerallo to create. I simply couldn't pass up photographing this unique outfit! Corvo Uomo includes a rigged mesh jacket and pants in standard sizing (with alpha layers of course), an unrigged necklace, unrigged shoulderpiece, and unrigged hat. The unrigged pieces are modify and very easy to fit. As always, the texture work beautiful and high quality! I found Zibska's Masha makeup to be surprisingly unisex, so I opted for the black option rather than the guyliner I was first playing with. Initially I was going to go barefoot with this outfit, but I decided to kick it up a notch and grab some footwear from CerberusXing that I had been eyeing for a while now; Sasu Geta is available in several colors that each include a bloody option, with both male and female versions. Once I was dressed and thinking about poses, I decided to drop by Grafica poses and look around. What I found were pretty amazing poses that are perfect for artistic photography as well as blogging! You can probably guess it, but I found a pose that just felt perfect. So from there, I set out to one of my favorite locations for a shoot.

When The Love Runs Out

So some of you may have noticed I've been rather quiet since the Shadow Of The Day post... That is due in large part to the feelings behind that post coming to fruition and ending up being a bit more than feelings... About 5 hours after that post went live my now ex sent me an email to break up with me, well a PDF attached to an email. Such classy fellows I date right?!? So needless to say my emotions have been such that creates a bit of a problem. I have worked on a number of looks since that day, but I have been having a problem actually getting them photographed in such a way that I am able to convey enough of the emotion behind them that I feel they can be posted. Luckily this morning I had a break through with this one and hopefully the others are on the way to following so that I can post some this month before I spend the second half of it moving and unable to post. So here is the first of the posts that are the emotional journey of what I am going through...

Just so we are clear because I know there are a few people that will see this and worry, I am mostly over the break-up. I got dumped because I am too good for him; those are his own words. The way that the relationship fell apart pointed this out to me. I'm still a bit hurt but mostly because I did everything right, and it got repaid in the most classy *cleans up pile of dripped sarcasm* of ways.

Jennie From The Block

So after doing some shopping at The 100 Block I decided I needed a break, so lounging on my bike was the logical answer. This is also my submission for The 100 Block Photo contest and Kaylith did an epic job with the shot! I don't think I could have looked half as good in the final product without her special touch. But I feel like a total badass and now it is time for this badass to take a nap!

Face The Dark

So face the dark and I'll teach you about fire in the blink of an eye.

Someone is definitely developing an affinity to editorial hair... And that may or may not be me. This gentleman here, whom we'll call Mr. Sapphire for now, wanted to off his look. He is wearing the male group gift from JOLI, which comes in this lovely pale tone (with appliers), and has four eyebrow/goatee color options (Black, Blonde, Brown, Red). I definitely love his choice in makeup, as I think it adds a darker touch and conveys the feeling he intended. Those piercing eyes from Ikon are quite beautiful, yet striking if you ask me. That halo from CerberusXing is a wonderful accessory too, it's unrigged, modifiable mesh and is available in different colors.
