Bathory

It's almost Halloween, so it's time to break out the creepy and scary! First up, one of my favorites, Elizabeth Bathory. By far one of the most gruesome tales, Countess Elizabeth Bathory would bathe in the blood of virgin girls in order to retain her youth. Because of this she is one of the most well know and prolific female serial killers in history, earning the title of The Bloody Countess.
Since I'm a Kaylith and I love these kinds of things, I wanted to recreate Bathory in my own style. Pure Poison happened to have a gown that was gorgeous and perfectly regal. With some vampiric eyes from Death Row Designs, a bloody vampiric mess from Suicidal Unborn, and the perfect slink hand tattoos from Clemmm, Elizabeth Bathory was brought to (second) life! Mwuah ha ha ha~!!!

Be Brave - Blogger Challenge

So I saw this new blogger challenge and decided I wanted to join in. The blog proposes "Ask yourself this question… what is a look I’ve always wanted to try, one that for some reason, I never have dared?" Part of why I started my blog was so that I could be more adventurous with my fashion and share my combinations. As a result I have covered everything from Goth, to Geek, to dressing up like Kim Possible, to posing as a mistress and as a sub, to dressing up with antlers, to dressing down with only panties and boots on, to wild colored skin, to formal wear, and even dressing just plain casual so I almost counted myself out because there wasn't anything I could think of that I hadn't tried because I was scared to. (I do realize I haven't played with many of the mesh body parts or even furry avatars on my blog, but the first is because I don't have the funds to keep up with the trends and appliers and such and the second is because there is A LOT of modding involved be it fitting hair or a piercing or what have you and I have done it in the past before I got into this fashion blog but I have grown tired of it but hey I can pull off furry.) But I still wanted to partake in the challenge and after reading the above quoted text another time or two it dawned on me I've always been afraid to RP. I would start a look and start making the character and then shy away from it as soon as the idea was half done. This past week though I've worked to change that by joining in on an RP sim with Kaylith. "Remnants of Earth is a cyberpunk space western roleplay based on the remains of the planet Earth." So it is a sim based in one of my favorite genres to read about and thus I know a bit about the themes to work with. And well the fashion part comes easy to me because especially lately I've had a thing for the grungy rugged apparel with a more apocalypse feel to it. And thus Cinder was born...

While the fashion part came easy to me the backstory and actually putting myself out there hasn't. I am way afraid of being judged because I am totally new to this and havn't ever RPed other than little goofy stuff with my friends. There is soo much you have to take into consideration with your character even before you set foot on the sim with your backstory, and then when you do set foot on the sim you don't know anyone until you meet them IC. Your character is a totally different person with a different personality that you and it can be hard to make the distinction especially when just starting out. Luckily for me I have the support to back me up and help me with this new challenge.

Kaylith has been awesome and showed me around the sim some OOC so that I wouldn't get lost and so that I saw some actual RP taking place so that I would see what I was getting into. She even set it up so that our characters me IC right away so that I would have some RP as my character under my belt before she let me loose. She even dragged me into the sim TeamSpeak so that I could get to know some of the others so I wouldn't be scared of them when it came to seeing them on the sim and they have been awesomely supportive as well. The sim is amazing and well laid out. It is always busy, and thus a bit laggy at times, but what fun sim isn't on sl? Okay off to go try and find some more junk to trade in for better junk.

Hot Temper With The Shortest Fuse

So Suicidal Undead came out with this cute frilly outfit for the Monochromatic Fair and I couldn't resist especially since it is the prime example of what first came to mind when I heard about the fair.

I don't know what else to really say other than that I had too much fun keeping this whole look in the white to black color scale. And to send you off to visit the fair before it ends and maybe join the party that starts at 4PM SLT!

Never Gonna Give You Up

So the Body Modification Expo just started and it got me in a very different mood form what I normally go for in a post. We're no strangers to love. The theme got me thinking of my favorite stores for "body modification" and of course all of them had jumped aboard the Depraved Nation Event. You know the rules and so do I. So thus I had to scramble and collect all of the things on the first day because that's what I do best when I actually have the L$ to go shopping. A full commitment's what I'm thinking of. First I had to run by cStar because LIMITED EDITION SKINS! You wouldn't get this from any other guy. Once I had nabbed the special tone that was released for this skin and not her other recent releases I started to wander around and gather more things. I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling. This landed me at my newly discovered favorite tattoo (at least until cStar gets me all of the tattoos) and the plan started to form. Gotta make you understand. So I grabbed my Kaylith and thus we ran will my idea. Never gonna give you up. And with more piercings and attachments from Cute Poison and a sexy pose from Apple Spice the plans were laid out and thus the result! Never gonna let you down.

I found these gloves last week during the 50L$ black sale on the Mad World and instantly fell in love. Never gonna run around and desert you. Kaylith dug deep and grabbed one of the first things that she ever got to play with to help out at cStar with her epic "WHORE" leggings and I have to agree that they work quite well for the look. Never gonna make you cry. Atooly also caused me to have to rework idea number one when making this look because I absolutely could not pass up these earrings, I love me some hearts. Never gonna say goodbye. A Nice Place To Visit

So tonight a rough bout of depression, that I am still trying to root out the source of, hit me hard right as I was driving home from RL work and I still haven't quite snapped out of it. The good news to that is that the look I was playing with the past couple nights focused into sharp clarity when I got home and I'm been able to help relieve some of the depression through this picture. It says what my words can't say.

I absolutely LOVE this dress from Sn@tch. This probably will not be the last you see of it on this blog because of its awesomeness. Also my SL daddy is opening a new store in world and I have to say I cannot wait for him to start to fill it. Between the corset before, these boots, and his take on a plague doctor mask my inner darkside is doing my creepy maniacal laugh right along side Kaylith and I am sure we are going to enjoy everything my twisted father comes up with along side the rest of you. Okies time for my rambles to stop while I go try and clean the blood off the walls of my padded cell.
