It was about time again to start playing with neutral colors since I have been so vibrant lately. So I figured why not play with some lovely shades of brown? Since the current theme for Uber is Androgyny, it was the perfect chance! Zibska has some lovely makeups (appliers included) out and this hair from Little Bones just called to me. I found they worked beautifully together! You may notice Little Bone's Purr is similar to her style Feline in the way that it is tucked behind the ears, but it is different in detail, especially at the ends and how it sits. This sleek, black, fitmesh dress from Topazia caught my eye for this look while I was out and about shopping. Topazia's Claire Dress comes in standard sizing, as well as sizing for the Maitreya, Hourglass, and Belleza bodies. For accessories I went with this gorgeous jewelry set from Zibska (which is modify and has a ton of colors), in which I modified one of the earrings so that I could have a matching ring. To finish the look off, I went with a sleek black polish and made my own pose.

Evenescent

This was one of those looks that just came together and happened. I love gradient clothing, so this rigged mesh dress from Topazia made me especially happy. I am really loving the very delicate pearls that detail the gown on the sides, straps and back! I decided to add in Zibska's Ailell shrug, since it was not only the perfect color, but it was cactus blooms (cactus included). For accessories, I used these long gloves from Azul's Gina gown and this simple ribbon collar. For makeup, I used Zibska's Kelan lips, and this sexy and seductive eyeshadow from Topazia. For hair, I figured that a beautiful windblown hair with white highlights in my regular blonde would be a nice touch.

Sacre Coeur

I have to say it's been and incredibly busy week and it's going to be even busier. However to relax, I thought I would go out on a shopping trip to one of my favorites stores in SL. Topazia has a unique style of creating and the designer marked a couple of her coats to be half off! I figured hey, why not pick it up? Well, I did just that and ended up picking up a few other things because they were too pretty to resist. But I have to say the designer, Nathalia, is an incredibly kind  and generous person. She is one of the few here in SL that enjoys what she does and likes to put smiles on people's faces, and I just so happened to be one of them. Thank you Nathalia, you are wonderful!! <3 For my look however, I decided to style one of her winter coats and do a very chic, blonde goth style. Topazia's Katerina Fur Winter Coat comes with a rigged mesh coat in standard sizing, unrigged fur cuffs, a fur collar, and a ribbon (which I sized down). I decided to use Topazia's Celested Lipstick in Starry Coal, since it was the perfect shade of grey to bring out the highlights in the coat. For clothing I went with basic dark clothing I had from Sn@tch, sexy thigh-high boots from Zibska, and this awesome purse from Maxi Gossamer. Little Bones is currently has some gorgeous styles out at C88, and their Celine hair called out to me for this look. I think it goes pretty friggin' perfectly! But as for the shoot, I created my own attitude-filled pose and headed over to Ironwood Hills to snap the picture.

Saudade

Saudade: The feeling of longing for someone that you love and is lost.

I can honestly say that this post was one that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I was spending time styling with my dear friend Madeleine, when I asked her to help me choose a gown to blog. She said, "Kay, this one would look incredible on you!" as she pointed to Azul's limited edition recolor of their Esmerelda mesh gown in peridot. Esmerelda comes with a mesh gown in 5 standard sizes, a system layer top, collar, sleeves, and flex-skirts. Green is definitely my favorite color, so I was excited, but instead of going with my usual dark touch... Maddy pushed me to style soft and feminine. I avoided my typical dark makeup, went with lighter colors, and utilized this shawl from Zibska. With a little tinting, I was able to get the PERFECT match that brought out the different tones in the gown. With some dark lace gloves I was able to pull out a little more of the darker tones, but not too much, while my ring (and it is special to me) pulled out the greens and highlights, even though it was very small. As for posing, I had to create my own pose, since I found some that were close, but not quite cutting it. I went with something very longing, as the mood I was in while crafting this post was missing someone special to me.

Cobalt Conjurer

I've been putting much more of my thoughts and emotions into my work lately. This one stemmed from a rather cold feeling, but resulted in something I'm rather pleased with. It's very two-toned, just like the lipstick that Zibska has released for this month's round of Uber! Her Blacktops Lips come with 14 colors, as well as appliers for LeLutka and TMP. Zib has four different lipsticks out and they're all amazing and completely perfect for photos, in my opinion. For this look I decided to use a gown from Topazia I've had for a while, since it has an intense drop-v neckline that went well with the cubic jewelry from Zibska I was wearing. I felt as though the shape of this neck makeup from Nuuna complimented the dress and brought attention to the lipstick. I have to say though, I really do love the intensity of this eyeshadow from Dead Apples and how the shape can be modified by adjusting your eyebrow shape. Finishing out the look I opted for blue hair rather than black, haunting eyes also from Dead Apples, one of my favorite shoulder pieces and hand tattoo, both being from Zibska.

Malevolence

"Vicious."

Darker looks are my specialty, especially when it comes to drop dead gorgeous latex. I know I've used these boots recently, but I couldn't resist using them again for this outfit. This bodysuit comes with appliers, so I was able to use it with my Maitreya mesh body. The gloves did as well, and they're absolutely stunning! For my accessories I went with a more simple but cute collar a friend of mine made, a shoulder piece and a headpiece from Zibska. I felt they went well together since they both had the antler elements. Greer has 8 ruffle colors and 4 antler colors, while Sentinel has 10 skull textures and 20 antler textures with two separately texturable antlers. They're both unrigged, modify, and I found them very easy to fit. not to mention they go together wonderfully! Hair was not a problem to find, since Moon had this really gorgeous side style that worked perfectly for what I was envisioning. For posing I decided to go with something different than I normally do. Apple Spice had the perfect pose for what I envisioned, so it was all the matter of putting together my set. Last minute however I felt like I jsut needed something... I wasn't sure. Knife? Magick scepter? Sword? No. Riding crop; and Zibska had the perfect one in her Cynthia set. Then it was time to snap the picture! Dead Apple's Phantom Eyes do not have smoke included sadly, that was a little effect I added myself. However I'm sure there are some smoking eye effects out there!

You're Late

"Oh, you're finally here. We were about to begin without you."

Now this particular outfit was one that came together quite fast. I saw this dress and shawl combo at Topazia and absolutely couldn't resist picking up a copy for myself. Melany is available in several colors with a matching fur shawl for each color available separately; this dress comes with a system layer top and a rigged mesh skirt in standard sizing. I loved the collar in the ad for the dress to death but I wasn't sure where it was from... until I looked across the store that is. The sybelle collar is also available in several colors and each color includes gold, silver, and onyx colored spikes.
Needless to say I was excited. Now Misashi is the kind of stylish man that loves to rock a bit of gold in his outfits, so feeling inspired, I took inspiration from that and accessorized with gold. I noticed we were matching quite a bit, except for hair, so I opted for a bun as well for the fun of it. When done styling, I was pretty happy with how it looked, so we both set out for a shoot that was particularly fun.

Her Own Eden

The morning of my real life birthday was a serene one, filled with love and the sweetest wishes from my cherished friends. I feel so lucky to know such sweet and loving people and even luckier to call them my friends A big thank you and lots of hugs to everyone that wished me a happy birthday, you're absolutely wonderful!!
When it came to logging on SL, it was a wonderful surprise that Finesmith had put out some beautiful gifts for all of us to enjoy. I am particularly fond of Finesmith's GOOD set, which is this gorgeous green with accents of lavender. This set was a one day gift, including a tiara, a pair fo earrings, and a necklace. GOOD, is no modify unrigged mesh with scripted control, so it can be resized to fit perfectly (though I didn't need to resize it at all, it fit perfectly out of the box). I decided to pair this gorgeous jewelry set with a beautiful drop neck gown from Topazia in my favorite colour (I LOVE the colour green for those that didn't know). For makeup I went with neutral colors and for my nails, I'm so in love with Finesmith's appliers for Slink, so I absolutely had to use their Solid set (which comes with 16 options included). I'm really loving this look, so I'm probably not going to take it off for a couple of days.

The Evening Blues

And the glimmer of the fire flies.

Blue and yellow are definitely one of my favorite color combinations, partially because I was born in the Ukraine and they're the color of my home country's flag. The other part of the reason is they're beautiful colors alone, but when they're put together, they are eye completely catching. Invert by Finesmith is currently available in two colors, this lovely blue/yellow and a black/red combination. When shopping I almost went with black/red, but I decided to be daring and play with colors I haven't played with in a while. Invert is no modify, unrigged mesh jewelry set that includes a pair of earrings, a headpiece, a necklace, and an armband. Full bright, shiny, and resize is controllable via scripts.
There was a dress from Topazia that I had my eye on, but couldn't for the life of me choose from the eight beautiful colors (Black, Red, Brown, Pink, Copper, Cyan, Purple, & Blue). That is until it clicked, Invert would pair perfectly with this gorgeous gown! Alaina includes a rigged mesh dress and a separate rigged mesh dress collar, both in standard sizing. When it came to hair and makeup I wanted to go with something being a matching color and something being contrasting. I ended up going with a lovely red hair color and lipstick to match, then using one of Zibska's gorgeous neon eyeshadows to pull some yellow into my makeup. I finished the look off with a manicure from Finesmith before I set out to shoot this look.

All I Wish Is To Dream Again

Recently I happened upon a store called Topazia while shopping at a previous round of The Instruments. They caught my eye with a unique styled dress (of which I immediately bought) and drew me in to shop at their mainstore. They're high fashion with very elegant designs, so I was definitely delighted with what they had out. However, I'm someone who leans towards darker fashion, so I was eyeing every gown in black. But then I noticed a sign that said limited edition, which piqued my curiosity and I had to go check it out. Lo and behold, there was an outfit I fell in love with, The Dark Angel! There was no question about it, I needed to have it. So, I grabbed my copy, ran home, unpacked it, then got dressed. Out of the box, the outfit comes with a rigged mesh corset in five stand sizes, an alpha layer, a skirt that is a mix of sculpts and mesh, a collar/shoulder piece that is a mix of mesh and sculpts, a mesh dorsal piece, a pair of mesh wings, panties on both the pants and underwear layers, a black lipstick tattoo layer, and a smokey black eyeshadow tattoo layer. Parts of the outfit are modify for easy fitting, while others are no modify. All of the pieces are no copy, which makes perfect sense since the outfit is limited edition (you never know, you might just have a friend that would die to wear this outfit after it's sold out). Overall this outfit is high quality, well textured, and well made; I'm incredibly happy with it. To add my own flair to this outfit, I grabbed a beautiful jewelry set that Zibska currently has out for this month's round of On9. I personally got the full version which has 5 coloursets for the chains and 5 colorsets for the stones, but there's also four single color options available for discount if you're strapped for lindens. When came time to shoot I felt like something was off, but I wasn't sure what. It wasn't until I wandered by No.7 that I found the grand lashes of my dreams! I uttered a squee of excitement before purchasing them and taking time to fit them (which took a few minutes, since they surprisingly are made of prims). Once happy, I set out for the final shoot and with a little help from my friend Grim, was able to achieve my vision.
