Get To The Pointe

So most of the reason it has taken me all month to get this post done is because I was moving. Every weekend has included moving activities from packing, to physically moving, to cleaning up the old place so we didn't lose the deposit and the weekdays in between working and settling in. But I'm finally all moved and had the time to finish up the pose and picture taking so I can finally fully show off my latest twist of my imagination.

I may have gotten a wild Kaylith-like hair up my butt, but I still have to say I enjoyed creating this look. The shoes started me down this path and the headdress just kind of carried me over the edge.

Beyond The Daze

This one is particularly special. It has a far deeper meaning with heavy symbolism in the details. The color choices are that of what I have seen in recent lucid dreaming, as well as a bit of color blocking while still keeping it within the alternative realm. As for the set I delved into creating a little abstract world around the inspirations of the style, but keeping hard edges rather than many soft curves.
I have to say I'm really loving the Chromatic color pack from Little Bones, especially with this particular style. The way the highlights and lowlights sit is very pretty and the quality of this mesh is just gorgeous. Viola includes three standard sizes and an option for the pigtails to be in front, or down the back. For my style I went with primarily work from Zibska, mostly because we all know how obsessed I am with her work. I found that the jacket from her Hillevi set blended well with the shorts from her Renee set, but I could be biased since I like high waist shorts. However the look needed something, but not quite a shirt beneath the jacket for the vibe I was feeling. This tattoo from Letis Tattoo called to me and sat so lovely over the bust and just between the pigtails without being overbearing. As for cosmetics, I went with a blue and black eyeshadow, orange lips, and a yellow lip stripe (all from Zibska) to mimic the coloring of the hair and tie in the jacket. As for eyebrows though, I initially had blonde eyebrows, then black, but neither were sitting right with me. I decided to go out on a limb and use a tattoo layer eyebrow, tint them, then photoshop them a bit to get the exact look I wanted (sorry about that).

Dark Premonition

"She's going to lure you into her grasp, rip you to shreds, and make you love it."

The Nightmare Event is right around the corner (Otc. 1st)! That being said, Aii is releasing some pretty amazing things that I decided to channel just a hint of Queen of the Damned with. With how perfectly her tattered wrappings go with her thorny succubus outfit, I couldn't resist but to pair them together just moments after I had gotten my claws on them. Her tattered wrappings are rigged mesh with an unrigged blindfold, coming with 7 colors included (though the thorny succubus garment only has 3 color options). Another one of the items she is releasing for the Nightmare Event is this Dream Weaver's Eye, which rests on the chest and is slightly disturbing in my opinion (probably why I love it so much). The Dream Weaver's Eye comes with an unrigged, animated mesh eye that has 14 color options, two chest tattoo options, and appliers for TMP, Maitreya, and Belleza. This style really came together quickly, but something felt a little off about what I had. Talking to my dear friend Madeleine, she pointed out that I should opt for a reddish lipstick instead of noir, go with a different color for the chest eye, and needed something to break up the bare skin. After putting our heads together, it was concluded that a tattoo was needed and with her absolutely amazing skills in styling she helped me find the perfect one-- a vicious looking Eastern dragon! It fit so perfectly in placement, shape of the body to match my hair and the wrappings, and horns to compliment mine.

Sugar And Spice

Sometimes you just have to try something out of the normal and this time I tried to channel a piece of my more kawaii days... But of course I couldn't just jump straight there, I added in the bit of edge I seem to be feeding off of these days for a more bubbly creepy goth kawaii look and feel and I have to say I think it suits me. At least when the light hits the pink hair just right and you can see mischievous sparkle back in my eyes.

I Will Not Bow

So in case you have been under a rock like I was last week and have missed the first few day of The Lexi Project I hope you will climb out form under said rock and do some shopping for a good cause like I did. If you haven't heard the creator behind AngelRED Couture got some rather crappy news news at the end of June, she has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. And we all know that cancer sucks, which is why when one of our own gets hit with a nasty curve ball and opens up to us as a community we do what we can to help them win their fight. Over 300 creators in SL have banded together to create this event that has 100% of profits going straight to Lexi to help her pay her medical bills through this tough time. So this splatter outfit came out mid move and as soon as I saw it on my phone I knew I had to have it! So of course it's one of the first things I styled to blog when I got back to business. When The Love Runs Out

So some of you may have noticed I've been rather quiet since the Shadow Of The Day post... That is due in large part to the feelings behind that post coming to fruition and ending up being a bit more than feelings... About 5 hours after that post went live my now ex sent me an email to break up with me, well a PDF attached to an email. Such classy fellows I date right?!? So needless to say my emotions have been such that creates a bit of a problem. I have worked on a number of looks since that day, but I have been having a problem actually getting them photographed in such a way that I am able to convey enough of the emotion behind them that I feel they can be posted. Luckily this morning I had a break through with this one and hopefully the others are on the way to following so that I can post some this month before I spend the second half of it moving and unable to post. So here is the first of the posts that are the emotional journey of what I am going through...

Just so we are clear because I know there are a few people that will see this and worry, I am mostly over the break-up. I got dumped because I am too good for him; those are his own words. The way that the relationship fell apart pointed this out to me. I'm still a bit hurt but mostly because I did everything right, and it got repaid in the most classy *cleans up pile of dripped sarcasm* of ways.

So this post was suppose to appear before I disappeared for a month, but RL got in the way and that didn't get to happen. So despite the outfit no longer being part of FLF I am blogging it anyway because I look pretty damn good in it and there are so many color options for the different parts it would be a shame not to show it off.

The Spell of Roses

So now that I got this shiny new computer up and running I was going to *try* to play catch-up on some of the awesomeness that I missed out blogging last month. The I log on to a notecard advertising this new dress and even thought it's below freezing outside and I'm shivering as I type this I had to show of this skimpy little piece of sexy.

Yin & Yang

So I know I've been MIA for just over a month, but I swear it was partially with good reason. See I took a vacation (this was much needed and long overdue), which sadly ended with me having a (thankfully mild) case of the shingles, BUT by the time I was over that all of the parts for my NEW COMPUTER came in and I spent the time in between the holiday festivities building it and learning a few new tricks now that I have a graphics card that can handle them. So with the new year I am planning some changes to the blog starting with my photography! First up Ultra graphics tweaking windlights to my needs and SHADOWS! How Come You're Not Here

So I am definitely struggling with this whole balancing a real job and a social life and keeping up with the internet and sadly the internet and my blog are getting the short end of the stick. Hopefully after Dragon Con I will be able to reevaluate my time around all the things and give the internet and my blogging a bit more love. Bella Muerte

So Project Limited started up back on the 10th and I did manage to sim border shop and grab myself some goodies in the first days, however RL decided to grab hold and distract me from getting these limited edition goodies posted as fast as I wanted to. So sadly when you start reading the credits if (Available at Project Limited) looks more like (Available at Project Limited) that means the version I am wearing is already sold out, there may be other color/tone options, but not the one I am wearing. But anyway because most of it is still available, but only if you hurry, I will cut my ramblings short and show off the goods!

So apparently I was feeling more monotone than usual, but that could be because I was more focused on grabbing all the things before they sold out and noticing later how well they pieced together. Either way I love this corset/tutu outfit thing that Sn@tch has going on and Glam Affair keeps reeling me in closer with each new release.
