The event I've been impatiently waiting is finally here! Multiverse is open until the 15th and is packed full of cyber fashion goodies and all sorts of goodies that come to mind when you think of your favorite Sci-Fi media. As soon as I saw the skin Soul was releasing and the cybernetic arm from SWaGGa I KNEW exactly what direction to take with my styling.

But of course you cant stop there. Where there is latex around I will play and MV never ceases to amaze me with the detail in their texture work. And of course no look is complete without accessories and the perfect nail polish, yes I know I have a nail polish problem don't judge, so I had to compleate the look with one of the most perfectly cyber eye pieces I have ever seen from HopScotch and the beautiful polish form Konfin Nails.

Be Brave - Blogger Challenge

So I saw this new blogger challenge and decided I wanted to join in. The blog proposes "Ask yourself this question… what is a look I’ve always wanted to try, one that for some reason, I never have dared?" Part of why I started my blog was so that I could be more adventurous with my fashion and share my combinations. As a result I have covered everything from Goth, to Geek, to dressing up like Kim Possible, to posing as a mistress and as a sub, to dressing up with antlers, to dressing down with only panties and boots on, to wild colored skin, to formal wear, and even dressing just plain casual so I almost counted myself out because there wasn't anything I could think of that I hadn't tried because I was scared to. (I do realize I haven't played with many of the mesh body parts or even furry avatars on my blog, but the first is because I don't have the funds to keep up with the trends and appliers and such and the second is because there is A LOT of modding involved be it fitting hair or a piercing or what have you and I have done it in the past before I got into this fashion blog but I have grown tired of it but hey I can pull off furry.) But I still wanted to partake in the challenge and after reading the above quoted text another time or two it dawned on me I've always been afraid to RP. I would start a look and start making the character and then shy away from it as soon as the idea was half done. This past week though I've worked to change that by joining in on an RP sim with Kaylith. "Remnants of Earth is a cyberpunk space western roleplay based on the remains of the planet Earth." So it is a sim based in one of my favorite genres to read about and thus I know a bit about the themes to work with. And well the fashion part comes easy to me because especially lately I've had a thing for the grungy rugged apparel with a more apocalypse feel to it. And thus Cinder was born...

While the fashion part came easy to me the backstory and actually putting myself out there hasn't. I am way afraid of being judged because I am totally new to this and havn't ever RPed other than little goofy stuff with my friends. There is soo much you have to take into consideration with your character even before you set foot on the sim with your backstory, and then when you do set foot on the sim you don't know anyone until you meet them IC. Your character is a totally different person with a different personality that you and it can be hard to make the distinction especially when just starting out. Luckily for me I have the support to back me up and help me with this new challenge.

Kaylith has been awesome and showed me around the sim some OOC so that I wouldn't get lost and so that I saw some actual RP taking place so that I would see what I was getting into. She even set it up so that our characters me IC right away so that I would have some RP as my character under my belt before she let me loose. She even dragged me into the sim TeamSpeak so that I could get to know some of the others so I wouldn't be scared of them when it came to seeing them on the sim and they have been awesomely supportive as well. The sim is amazing and well laid out. It is always busy, and thus a bit laggy at times, but what fun sim isn't on sl? Okay off to go try and find some more junk to trade in for better junk.

Titanium

So my friend Vasha, that owns +DV8+, challenged me to do a photoshoot for 10 different songs that had a positive self message that didn't harp on another person or talk about love or the like. I just went through a break-up and it shook what self-confidence I had built up so she wants to help me get back to that point I was at and keep me there, without depending on outside sources to reinforce that I am worth something. Because of the nature of the challenge some of these will be more personal and not geared towards the fashions as much so I am posting all of them on my Flickr and on my Personal Journal Blog and only a select few of them here. But to start things off my brain went running to play with metallic tones and futuristic latex when I started to style for the first song Titanium by David Guetta. So here is what I came up with.

MV continues to produce sexy latex that fits along the Illiad Corps Division of clothing with this sexy new under-bust corset that has three colors featured at Genre and the sexy boots at Shoetopia with the sales of two of the epic colors going to benefit Soles4Soles.

More Than Meets The Eye

I will have to keep this post short and sweet because honestly the more I look at the pictures the more I analyze them and that just makes my brain scream more with everything that just went on in my RL and all the emotions flowing through me. You never quite realize everything that you subconsciously do until you sit there and look back after the fact. But anyway on to the pretty look!

The bright splash of rainbow is what got my attention with this top and I absolutely had to have it when I saw it. And then cStar came out with rainbow eyes! Sadly I've only managed to wresle 2 of the 3 rainbow versions out of the gatcha so if anyone happens to have the rare one lying in their inventory and doesn't want/need it I have stuff to trade for it. Up to and possibly including my soul... But we have to get Kaylith's approval to go that route! Also comfy bears to lay on! The poses they have in them are awesome I just had an idea in mind and had to find a different pose to bring the idea to life. Also I have to convince Lokii to but out this rainbow version of the necklace she made for the Shoetopia Gatcha. I needed to find a necklace and she was all "I have an idea" and she made the pretty, now she just needs to get it out where more than just me can abuse it! Also a closeup because A) Yay pretty eyes that you need to take a closer look at! B) New profile picture because different angle and win and I want to show it off!

Horrorfest has started! And well A) I was lucky enough to be picked as a blogger for this awesome event. B) Halloween is right around the corner and Horrofest totally has me in the mood! C) I am loving all of the great items the designers have brought out and the fact that at least a portion of sales are going to help the Epilepsy Therapy Project makes this event all the more special. And yes I had cStar help me add to the fierceness with her new skin that is exclusive to the Cosmetic Fair, better run and get it before it's gone!

Sweet Pandemonium

It's been an epic busy week, and I've totally lagged on blogging some stuff. I kept thinking and thinking of what I wanted to do with the outfit from :{MV}:, it had such a cute bat.. in RHINESTONES! That threw me off for a bit, but then I realized cStar Limited was about to release a new skin at the Cosmetic Fair. Raylyn, the skin, was a hot seller and I'm glad I got in early! There's some left, but they're still going fast. What I really like about the skin is the fact she has such pronounced eyebrows that bring serious emotion to your avatar's face, like MREOW! Also if you look closely under the eyebrow, the eye makeup is a detailed white design that to me almost looks like a gorgeous lace. To top it off? Look at those juicy lips!

At this point I was still pretty unsure of what direction to take the look. So as I usually do, I turned some music on. A couple songs went by, then Sweet Pandemonium by HIM came on and that sparked an idea. I ran over to PANDEMONIUM (dark structures and builds) and wandered around the sim demo on the ground. While walking through a part in the forest, I thought a chilly night setting would be perfect, so I put on my favorite hair with a cute kitty ear hood, some combat boots and some epic jewelry from Cute Poison. From there I just had fun posing and taking pictures. Speaking of posing, Apple Spice totally has two new pose packs out at the Boho Fair, and they're pretty awesome. She has put out a pack just for us bloggers and a pack of poses that really have body language to them. I've used one pose from each pack in these pictures! Enough rambling though.

Never Gonna Give You Up

So the Body Modification Expo just started and it got me in a very different mood form what I normally go for in a post. We're no strangers to love. The theme got me thinking of my favorite stores for "body modification" and of course all of them had jumped aboard the Depraved Nation Event. You know the rules and so do I. So thus I had to scramble and collect all of the things on the first day because that's what I do best when I actually have the L$ to go shopping. A full commitment's what I'm thinking of. First I had to run by cStar because LIMITED EDITION SKINS! You wouldn't get this from any other guy. Once I had nabbed the special tone that was released for this skin and not her other recent releases I started to wander around and gather more things. I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling. This landed me at my newly discovered favorite tattoo (at least until cStar gets me all of the tattoos) and the plan started to form. Gotta make you understand. So I grabbed my Kaylith and thus we ran will my idea. Never gonna give you up. And with more piercings and attachments from Cute Poison and a sexy pose from Apple Spice the plans were laid out and thus the result! Never gonna let you down.

I found these gloves last week during the 50L$ black sale on the Mad World and instantly fell in love. Never gonna run around and desert you. Wake Me Up When September Ends

Cancer is an evil, cold-hearted, bitch of a disease with many forms. And I mean that in the worst possible way.  It is one of those diseases that never really sunk in for me how bad it was. I mean I understand and I support the fight against it, but it never really reached out and touched me until now. Both my grandparents on my fathers side have had one form of it or another and won, but when it happened I didn't know what was going on and I never saw them decline. And my grandpa has it again but because I haven't seen them in 5 years and they live across the country it hasn't really hit me yet despite the fact that my dad is going away to help them out for a month in a few weeks while grandpa gets it taken care of, but again because this is directly following a hunting trip that both dad and grandpa are going on it hasn't settled into my brain that grandpa has CANCER. But then again I said it reached out and touched me now. I mean I see the destruction it can cause thought my best friend's loss of her mother LAST NIGHT due to this terrible disease. What's worse is that I'm on the wrong side of the country to do anything to help except be a friendly ear. It kills me that that's all I can do, and I can't even be her shoulder to cry on because my shoulder isn't there. If I had the ability to run to her right now i would, but even if I didn't have work obligations here the money isn't lying around for me to be able to get there to be there for her and it hurts. I've listened to her over the past few months as the declined happened, watched what it did to her and how it tore her up. I couldn't fix it I couldn't do anything to help as the cancer sat there and took her mother away from her. And I've broken back into the tears that started last night while I write this, but I really need my best friend to know I am there for her and will always be there for her. But for now wake us both up when September ends, because goodness knows we need a new start of some sort for the healing to begin.

Kaylith never forget I am here for you and I am soo sorry for your loss.

Derelict Delusion

There's nothing I love more than dark, creepy asylums, circus themed clothing, and anything lovecraft! This time around, the Twisted Hunt was circus/carnival themed, and it made my black little heart beat with excitement. So first thing I did was skitter to :{MV}:, and the first thing I saw was an outfit called The Oracle. Yeah, I could have just riot vended it or done the mini-hunt, but I couldn't resist and loved it so much I just bought it. I then paired it with some armwarmers, also from the same store. I then added my favorite tattoo in SL, cStar Limited's Strange Aeons. I couldn't resist, it has a sexily detailed Cthulhu! From there, I found a perfect spot in a Pandemonium building and snapped a pic!

A Clockwork Bird Bath

So I had to try my hand at Steampunk when I heard about A Clockwork Spiral which is a steampunk themed event with part of the proceeds going to the National Kidney Foundation. So far they have raised over 200KL$ and the event just got extended to go through noon on Monday the 23rd so head on over and get your shopping in to support this great cause! Come To The Darkside

WE HAVE CUPCAKES! Not really but we have brand new sexy stuff from a new store on the grid that I am sure to start blogging A LOT if he keeps this up. So without further ado I shall introduce you to my take on {DarkWare}.

Not only are his mesh creations uber sexy but he is a softy for those of us that don't particularly love to show off the goods. His corset comes with a nice tanktop to cover the boobs and has appliers for those out there that like the Tangos, but it shows off the nipples (You can see a picture of it here) and I will admit I kinda whimpered when I saw it. But anyways, we were talking about different styles and how bloggers show off the clothing and how I tend to be one of the more conservative bloggers out there with how much skin I show and how I show it off and as we were talking he was apparently making a non-nipple version of the tank just for me so I wouldn't have to go digging around to find something that matched that I would feel comfortable blogging. I know this isn't the norm, and many creators already do this or don't have the time to do it with everything they have going on, but Vox's customer service even for something so simple has just blown me away and he has a long time customer in me. But anyways new store on the marketplace = total win = gothy goodness = GO BUY ALL THE THINGS! *end rant*

The Devil's Carnival

Because when I saw the twisted theme for this round and a certain bag that Olive put out for The Arcade I knew what this first post would be coming back from playing some RL. So I've hit the first few must hit stops on the Twisted Hunt that I know of from years past (Namly MV and Sn@tch) and then went to raid the gatcha machines at The Arcade and came back with a few gems that just screamed "Welcome to the Devil's Carnival" and since the epic movie "The Devil's Carnival" is one of my favorites ever right up there with "REPO: The Genetic Opera" and "The Devil Wears Prada" I found it only fitting!

Above is the overall haul but with all the awesome in one picture I feel it loses some of it's detail (even when you click here to see the full size version on Flickr) so I took some close up shots too!

This skin maybe over a year old but it is still to this day one of my favorites and one of the now hardest to find skins from cStar as far as I know because no one wants to give it up! The new piercings from Cute Poison just accent it so nicely, especially since I bribed Sae to make me a red version, which is especially odd because normally I'm bribing her for rainbow... Either way paired with this beautiful hair that i was lucky enough to nab second try in the Exile Gatcha at The Arcade and I think I have a face any mother would love!

PS - These Boots! I will let them do all the talking because they explain why I spent way too much at The Arcade (Besides trying to get the Unicat Chibi Cat from Schadenfreude and one of the rainbow Pwnies from Silent Sparrow. Yes I still need them, and yes I will trade an arm and a leg each for them. Please contact me here or in world if you know someone that doesn't want theirs. Hardwired

Sadly this will be my last post before I go MIA for a week, however that is because I will be having too much fun IRL at Dragon Con. Messenger From The Deep

Because who doesn't love Cthulhu? Miss Kate

This week has been one like no other in soo many ways. My last post got me to over 6,000 views and I noticed that this next post would be post #100 so I started planning something really awesome, then Wednesday (the 3rd) happened. Kate, my first best friend ever, the first friend I made when we moved to Georgia at the age of 5, the girl I have dubbed my Forever Friend, was slipping away. We have known this was going to happen, she wasn't suppose to live past age 10, yet she made it to age 22. Yes, this is just a trail of incomplete thoughts and I apologize for it, but again it has been a week. Okay back to a semblance of track... Doctors told us Wednesday (the 3rd) she probably wouldn't make it through the night and almost for sure not the weekend. She kept fighting though until Tuesday morning. So needless to say it has been a long emotionally draining week for me and thus my brain was not in the blogging mode until Tuesday afternoon when I had started to thaw out my emotions and let my strong face fade. Thus this look, built from mourning and remembrance. My 100th post is dedicated to her. I miss you Kate!

Yes I decided to go with the traditional black of mourning, however I spruced it up with some pink, which was one of Kate's favorite colors. The bows especially bring out more meaning, because for the service my sister as well as the other nanny that helped take care of Kate for the past few years made a ton of pink bows with her initials on it to hand out. Anyways I leave y'all with this before I go to bed and get ready for the funeral in the morning. She is in a better place free form pain and lounging with her Mom and her first service dog. I am happy for her, she didn't need or deserve the confines of her earthly body. She was always smiling, and could make me smile no matter how bad my day had been. I will miss her dearly, but now I have one more guardian angel looking out for me.

Monotone Sea Shanty

Today I took a trip to the beach, and you know what I found? Awesome stuff from Malfean Visions, that's what! Everyone that knows me, knows I love comfy and cool clothing for warm summer mornings. So what's better than taking your favorite collared shit, unbuttoning it, then tying it up sexily? Wearing the matching, airy capris. What's even better? Nothing is over the amount of an upload, except the combo pack that comes with a matching bikini, of course. Personally, I like the Antique color of the set, but hey, there's five other colors you might just love.

So after I chose what my favorite set was while I was there, I dropped by Truth to see what was new. O. M. G! Truth's new hair by the name Storm read Kaylith all over it-- so naturally I got it immediately. I really loved it in white, so I grabbed my favorite white browed skin form cStar. Last I grabbed my favorite choker from HoD and set out to take a picture. Mid-way through the shoot I didn't like the eyes I was wearing, but then I realized The Sugar Garden had a special VIP gift out for their gorup members. The eyes are dark, glossy and alluring; they are also appropriately named Dark Skies. Totally awesome! Enough rambling though.
