Back To 1939

When the talented soul behind White Room Couture gave me the opportunity to blog some of her exclusives for the PENUMBRA A/W FW 2015, I was completely excited and honored! She created some amazing designs, but the one that really stood out to me was this colorful dress called 1939. 1939 is a rigged mesh dress that is no modify, comes in standard sizing, and include and alpha. I really loved the colors, style, and detailing of the dress I couldn't resist styling it. My dear friend Madeleine, who is a truly talented stylist, said that I should style it with true accuracy and authenticity. So with many hours of searching for all the right pieces and Maddy's valuable advice, I stepped right back in time, all the way to the 1930's! Yet again I made my own pose, because not much was pleasing me in achieving what I was going for. The Traveler

It's definitely been a minute since cStar Limited has put out a new skin (the creator has been super busy RL), but she always comes back with a bang! Khaz is a tribal style skin with colors that contrast beautiful with her dark skin. She's available in ten different tones, coming with Slink Hands/Feet, Phat Azz, and Lolas appliers (Omega appliers in the works). Khaz has four breast size options and includes a pair of beautiful, hand drawn lashes. One of the things I really love about cStar Limited is that the creator is an artistic soul, so each skin is a piece of art. The stories she writes for them brings them further to life and helps me visualize her true intentions for her artwork. Her work is very different than anything else I've seen in Secondlife, which is why I love it to death and back.

Personally, I decided to style Khaz as though she were a traveler that is always exploring the world as she lives the life of a nomad. These armbands and vambraces from Blunderforge were pretty perfect, and because they're unrigged, modifiable mesh, I was able to make a choker for myself with a little modification. I paired it with Gizza's Gypsy Set, which drew me in with the leather and lovely colors. This set comes with a rigged mesh skirt and under-bust corset, each in standard sizing, as well as a system layer bra, a pair of boots, and an animated tambourine. Don't worry, there's an unanimated one for photos included as well! When it came to hair, I originally had some braids, but I decided to go with a long down-do. Moon has this and another gorgeous style out for Kustom9, which are absolutely perfect for roleplay.

You're Just A Copy Of An Imitation

I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

Recently I did a dark oriented photoshoot in the real world and it really brought me back to my roots of style. I LOVE to shock people. Real life and Secondlife, I'm an outrageous person. So naturally, I decided to channel the earlier style of a certain Shock Rocker I'm pretty sure we all know, but with my own personal take and touches. The outfit pieced together with ease, but when it came time to finding the right makeup I absolutely would not settle for just buying something like anyone else would. I do what I want and I make what I want in Secondlife, so I flung open photoshop and spent a considerable amount of time hand drawing my own personal makeup. Once I was happy, I set out to one of my favorite locations with middle fingers blazing.
