You Spin Me Right Round

So anyone that gets to know Kaylith knows she has a -thing- for Harley Quinn, probably has something to do with the clown like aspects but hey I won't judge. And well it has rubbed off on me to the point I'm actually reading the comics and have become rather obsessed with the red and black trouble maker myself. All this leads to silly ideas that start to come together when a knife throwers assistant outfit comes out the same time a Joker themed knife wheel. Now some more side not back story as to WHY my manic giggle escape my throat as the photo was forming in my minds eye. If you haven't seen The Devils Carnival you should get on it because it really is masterfully done and the way they bring Aesop's Fables to life are marvelous! But back to my point the story like of the scorpion and the frog is probably my favorite of the stories that they bring to like and it might have to do with the role Emilie Autumn plays, but if you have seen the movie you see how it ties to this post without me giving out any spoilers. Then the fact that the Joker themed wheel fell into my hands and well just about everyone that knows who Harley and Joker are knows their relationship woes so the plot thickened and I dragged my favorite partner in crime into my plots. Anyway enough of my rambling time to reveal the work of art that Kaylith photographed and edited.

Weeds bloom too.

Did I ever mention I love green? Because I do. If it wouldn't annoy everyone enjoying my stream, I would do a lot more. This dress from Zibska caught my eye and lead to a style that came together quite quickly. The boots and hair came quickly, which by the way I love the hell out of this bob and the ability to have it two tone! Makeup came next with a gorgeous new lipstick from Zibska and one of her eyeshadows, both currently at The 100 Block. She offers a fatpack option to get all of the makeup she has out in one swoop, with a nice saving. Now the eyebrows are not actually two toned, I photoshopped one to convey a point in my work, but those are tattoo eyebrows from TSG that come in handy. I'm unsure if they're still available! Then of course, because I am a freak, I had to have my demon paint, a black choker, and green goat eyes. To finish it off, I had to have a pose as equally odd.

Azure Amalgamation

We are all connected.

I've had this jewelry set for some time and have been meaning to blog it, but I just didn't get around to it. now that I've taken a step back from many of my sponsors, I can focus solidly on that which inspires me. This lovely set from Finesmith did just that! Galactic comes with a headpiece (not shown), a tiara, a necklace, earrings, and a ring. I decided to keep the style simple... super simple, by doing an artistic nude. I used this gorgeous long style from Little Bones in her Gossamer pack, which are gorgeous pastels with dark roots. They matched perfectly! As for makeup, I went with soft, shimmery makeup from Zibska, eyeliner from cStar, and nails from A:S:S. Noteably the eyeshadow from Zibska is included in the makeup fatpack she has out for The 100 Block. You can get all of the makeup she has out in one fatpack, for a deal! To give emotion to the style, I used some tintable tattoo eyebrows. I couldn't find any poses weird enough for the concept in my head, so I made my own.

Beyond The Daze

This one is particularly special. It has a far deeper meaning with heavy symbolism in the details. The color choices are that of what I have seen in recent lucid dreaming, as well as a bit of color blocking while still keeping it within the alternative realm. As for the set I delved into creating a little abstract world around the inspirations of the style, but keeping hard edges rather than many soft curves.
I have to say I'm really loving the Chromatic color pack from Little Bones, especially with this particular style. The way the highlights and lowlights sit is very pretty and the quality of this mesh is just gorgeous. Viola includes three standard sizes and an option for the pigtails to be in front, or down the back. For my style I went with primarily work from Zibska, mostly because we all know how obsessed I am with her work. I found that the jacket from her Hillevi set blended well with the shorts from her Renee set, but I could be biased since I like high waist shorts. However the look needed something, but not quite a shirt beneath the jacket for the vibe I was feeling. This tattoo from Letis Tattoo called to me and sat so lovely over the bust and just between the pigtails without being overbearing. As for cosmetics, I went with a blue and black eyeshadow, orange lips, and a yellow lip stripe (all from Zibska) to mimic the coloring of the hair and tie in the jacket. As for eyebrows though, I initially had blonde eyebrows, then black, but neither were sitting right with me. I decided to go out on a limb and use a tattoo layer eyebrow, tint them, then photoshop them a bit to get the exact look I wanted (sorry about that).

Luminescence

If you've looked at my stream of posts, you'll notice it's either no color at all or completely colorful. Well, this time around it's NEON colored! Titzuki created these mesh UV facepaints that are pretty friggin' awesome. However I must advise you NEED advanced modification skills to get these to fit your avatar's face. So if you like looking fabulous and enjoy puzzle games, try it out! There are 6 designs, Electric Geisha (shown), Hannya, Lotus, Paloc, Tribal Skull, and War. As you can see I went with the Electric Geisha, because I really loved the design and it was two colors I adored. I kept the style relatively simple and similar to something I've worn to an actual glow rave in the RL, save for the hair color. Did you know Moon hair has glitter variants of their textures? Well, they do and they come with each and every color pack. Glittery orange hair? Heck yes! I went with a green eyeshadow and a metal halter top from Zibska, bright glowing green eyes from Dead Apples, and a pose from Boys To The Bone (Jack's poses are amazing and are actually realistic) to achieve my UV glow rave.

Ultra-Viole(N)t

Sooo, Plastik is retiring a bunch of stuff. Because of that, there's a massive area where you can get these soon to be retired items for quite the deal until November 15th! Seriously, many things are under 100L! I decided to peruse around when her color called Ultra just began calling to me... So, I gave in to the glorious neon purple. What happened is a different breed of cybergoth, I'd say. The collar, dress, and boots were all pieces from Plastik in that gorgeous color, which I used a pair of long latex gloves and ripped up fishnets to add to the look. I did end up making a few little prim pieces for this outfit though, because I wanted a contact kind of look for the eyes as well as some awesome, glowing rings for around the arms, wrists, and ankles. For makeup I went with a very fierce looking combination, paired with glowing eyes, and neon hair. As for pose and set, I custom crafted both to achieve what I desired, though last moment I projected a Chaos star in the background to pay a little patronage to Slaanesh. Heheheh.

Let The Games Begin

Well, the title of this post is a not so subtle Hunger Games reference. We all know if it involves competition, blood, and violence, it's a book (and a show, I guess) I'm interested in. When I stumbled upon this outfit from Zibska, I knew I needed to grab it and set out for a shoot. Flavie (and a few other gorgeous ensembles) are a collaboration with Spartin Parx and Alyx Aerallo; and they're absolutely stunning! Flavie includes a rigged mesh jacket, skirt, and boots for Slink high feet that are no modify, as well as an unrigged modifiable headpiece (that's incredibly easy to fit), alpha layer, and shoe base. This outfit is absolutely gorgeous and high class, so I instantly fell in love with it. I decided to add a fur stole to emphasize the wealthy woman of power feel that this outfit says to me. Still it needed one little thing and I wasn't quite sure until I looked down at my hand in the real world. Duh, I needed an onyx ring! So I grabbed my personal favorite one from Sn@tch, then set out for the shoot.

So the Creepy Kawaii fair opened and I've been as excited as a teen going to their first rock concert. I've had my eye on a few things, and it just so happened there was a dress that had its eye on me! So I absolutely had to grab it immediately. The first thing I thought was bubble goth, so I dolled up. Pigtails, violet lipgloss, some decorative cross makeup, garters, and some ruffles, I was ready. I grabbed my trusty umbrella and went running around in my new outfit.

Imperfect Tenses

Typically, all the teal love belongs to Dragon, my partner in crime. Today however, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and play with something that caught my eye while I was out shopping. This outfit from Wicca's Wardrobe is beautifully made, high quality mesh, and gorgeous texturing. I couldn't help myself but snag my very own copy to take home and play with. I've been dying to use a MOON hair I've had sitting around, and it just so happened I loved the yellow length of hair with this outfit.

Hey look, I'm back from the dead-- or rather UNdead and I brought some undead fashion with me, too. Clemmm has a bodysuit that is positively to DIE for (with appliers) and TSG has matching platform creepers that is just every little goth girls dream. (Well, they are to me at least.) Plus Goth1co had these glasses that I saw, shouted "OMG I NEED THESE" and bought them immediately. I topped off the rest of the look with some killer pentagram bracelets and a collar from Cute Poison, then decided some skelly makeup would be just too fitting.

By The Dividing Stream

Fantasy? Magic? Mystery? Warriors? I've been listening to too much Dio and Ensiferum. Actually, nawh, I can never get enough! Excuse me while I turn it up. Heheh.
Anyways I'm totally on a purple kick right now if it totally isn't apparent. Keystone's Bryre Crown had me drooling since it came out. I've finally gotten my hands on it and I completely and utterly LOVE it. Not to mention their recent group gift, Varika'Vys collar, which is absolutely beautiful. Both of these are a high quality unrigged mesh. The Bryre crown comes with 9 gem colors, 10 string colors and 10 bone colors all in a convenient HUD and one script in the crown itself.
For a while I couldn't find a hair I liked to go with the crown, but my best friend and the genius behind this blog pointed me at the hair Wasabi Pills had out for the Fantasy Fair. Dragon, I gotta say, I don't know what I'd do without you! But from there, I found a pretty location in one of my favorite forests in a stream, put on a little warpaint, posed and snapped a photo! <3

I can hardly contain my excitement! The event I've been waiting for, The Fantasy Fair, has started up! There's so many wonderful shops out there that have come together in a massive gathering. From wings, to masks, to claws, to baubles, and to my personal favorite-- chains. Keystone is one of the only stores in all of secondlife that makes high quality and efficient mesh chains with beautiful texturing.
Their Esme facial chains (which also includes a beautifully done nose chain) is an elegantly done, decorative facial chain. It comes in both gold and silver, with and without gems. So Kaylith and I squeeed wayyy too loud when we saw this stuff and then proceeded to spend way too much on the gatchas to get what we wanted and ended up with a pretty epic haul despite not getting any of the rares. And then we had to blog them and well...

Winter's Festivities

I was walking around my home sim, just enjoying the scenery when I realized-- This Winter by [Atooly] had started! I rushed around to grab my favorite things from the event, and put together a couple outfits. This was one that made me feel nice and toasty! Red accented with white and just a little brown sounded so very perfect, so that's how this came to be. So now I'm running around between This Winter and Dark Eternity's winter wonderland like a kid on Christmas morning. This Winter is definitely worth checking out, there's plenty of wonderful designers who have put up some awesome things as well as some gifts underneath the tree. <3

So The Dirty Pillows Hunt 2 has started, and it runs November 1st-30th, 2013. What really caught my eye to this hunt was this sexy little latex number from The Sugar Garden. I just couldn't resist! So I ran to TSG and searched frantically for it. Needless to say I was epic happy with it, and had to style an outfit. This outfit is overall gorgeous quality and it includes Slink, Tango and Phat Azz appliers (Slink Feet stockings, Tangos bra/top, Phat Azz panties/pants). So after squeezing into this tight, latex treat, I slipped on my white thigh high boots, put on the appropriate shade of lipstick, then just had fun taking pictures at my personal studio.
