The Philospher

Back in December I was invited to join in on a 'Who Wore It Better' style challenge for Eclipse magazine. Bloggers went up against certified models in styling three different items with three different looks. I was up for the challenge and joined up to have some fun! With each look I styled according to the vibe I got of the item, then made my custom pose to accentuate it. With hard work and some finishing touches, all three of my looks came out on top! Back To 1939

When the talented soul behind White Room Couture gave me the opportunity to blog some of her exclusives for the PENUMBRA A/W FW 2015, I was completely excited and honored! She created some amazing designs, but the one that really stood out to me was this colorful dress called 1939. 1939 is a rigged mesh dress that is no modify, comes in standard sizing, and include and alpha. I really loved the colors, style, and detailing of the dress I couldn't resist styling it. My dear friend Madeleine, who is a truly talented stylist, said that I should style it with true accuracy and authenticity. So with many hours of searching for all the right pieces and Maddy's valuable advice, I stepped right back in time, all the way to the 1930's! Yet again I made my own pose, because not much was pleasing me in achieving what I was going for. A Lost Flower

Despite having a great love for them, I do not play with bright or neon colors as much as I should. Tiffany Designs put out a beautiful Summer Gown in four colors (Azul, Pink, Yellow, Black), all with gorgeous pink/orange accents. The Summer Gown includes legacy clothing layers, a rigged mesh skirt panel in five standard sizes, a rigged mesh skirt in standard sizes which are all no modify, but the unrigged skirt ruffles and chest piece are modify and includes a delteable resize script for easy fitting. For makeup, I decided to accent the colors of the dress with a sexy noir eyeshadow from Zibska (which is currently at Project Limited, so you better hurry to get you copy!) and some beautifully bright lipstick from Nova. For jewelry I went with Zibska's Liesel set minus the necklace to really bring out the orange in the flowers. I adore Zibska's stone texture, it has the perfect tones to go with almost anything! For hair I went with a very simple updo, as not to detract from the intricacy of the chestpiece. Admittedly, finding a pose for this gown was a challenge because I didn't want to go with a simple pose, I wanted emotion and attitude! Posesion was my savior, so I set out for a shoot.

Eyes Of The Beholder

Because Atooly Hunts are awesome, and well they happen often, but are short sweet and full of win I'm gonna showcase the one happening RIGHT NOW!

All of the awesome colors and a summer time theme! So many awesome items in this hunt it is totally worth doing! I just don't have time to show them all off so check out the HUNT BLOG and run through this short hunt to get them all for yourself! In the mean time here is a taste!

Atooly and Cute Poison have both totally grabbed my attention lately, I just hadn't figured out how to blog some of their awesome new stuff until now. Lie headbands, they normally just make me go RAWR! but I couldn't pass up these adorakable bow ones from Atooly especially with matching rings and the fact that they match the hunt color theme (be it accidental twist of fate or on pourpose) didn't hurt either. And Cute Poison finally got me to pull out my flat Slink feet for these shoes! And because I spent hours dealing with figuring this out the hard way... Slink have a tintable feet version which is totally win for matching to a skin from one of those awesome skin stores that haven't made appliers for the slink stuff yet, the downside is these versions don't work with ANY APPLIERS, and thus the pretty nail packs that are popping up all over the place don't work with them. So thus leading me to breaking down and buying this awesome skin that I had been oggling form afar at Pink Fuel that I had been putting off buying because of the price, but really it is totally worth it. For 1,600L$ I got not only a sexy skin with tons of basic options but I also got a metric ton of makeup layers and then wandered over to get the feet appliers. So yes I feel guilty leaving my cStar skins in my inventory for this look (especially since I was having a hard time choosing between a few), but for having to leave my safe haven I feel I made a really good choice. Rambles, rambles, where was I.... Oh yeah and this outfit! My friend Skyler at Pins & Needles has been doing some awesome rigging for AngelRed thus leading to her awesome mesh creations that spawn from playing with the mesh she makes! (Psst! Lemon Zest

The When Life Gives You Lemons Event is in full swing and after 3 days has raised 40,000L$ to help Kaylith get a new computer and get back on her feet! I really want to say how amazing it is when people can come together to help out one another and I want to start to highlight some of the awesome designers that have come together for this event!

First off I want to show off the awesome dress made by Skyler of Pins and Needles who is helping me host this event by lending me a huge chunk of her sim and helped me with the booths and all of the set up and organization. I could not have hoped to have my elaborate plan to help Kaylith come anywhere near fruition without her help. She took the idea and helped me run with it when I started to go scattter-brained. Then I have to show off the glasses and boots designed for the event by Lindsey Warwick they are totally lemony and fit the event theme for shits and giggles, plus I happen to know these are some of Kayliths favorite boots which will just make her smile when she can get back online and see them. Somehow I didn't know of Sour Pickles before this event but after seeing this adorable necklace among the offerings at the booth I know it is one store I won't soon forget, and will probably be visiting often. And I can't leave out cStar! While this shin is not one of the ones at the event, the face is one of the three faces that are offered in the Cherryade Skin Gatcha and is totally worth trying your luck to get, although all of the skins are lovely, I should know because I've managed to get many of them. Yes I admit I am a cStar whore especially with the gatchas.

Good-Bye Emily

Inspired by one of my favorite songs by Parov Stelar (Good Bye Emily), I felt as though it was time to create a very high class and red carpet worthy look. So with my favorite hair from Elikatira, a gorgeous skin from cStar Limited and some heels from N-core, I set out to find the perfect dress. It took me a while searching the marketplace with no avail that finally pushed me to search in-world. So after searching a couple stores, I had remembered Sassy! had released a dress recently. So I went over there, and there it was! That was the dress I had been looking for, yet, there wasn't just the right color for the look I wanted. I was sad and decided to just shop around the place for a bit. Moments later, I found a Tango Train Hunt gift from Sassy!, and it had a special color of the gown inside. So, I went back home and unpacked it. OH. MY. GOSH! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for, the perfect color! So squeeing with excitement, I put on my favorite nails from one of the cStar Limited PLATINUM skins, a gorgeous set of pearls from Lassitude and Ennui and felt so pretty.
