Time for my little bit of tradition. As I have the past many years, I joined in on the fun that is the Fallen God and Goddess Election that Fallen Gods puts on every year about this time to celebrate their time spent in SL. Sunday kicked off the festivities and voting has opened in the election. This year was a bit of a recreation from past ideas merged into one and shoved down the path my imagination wanted to take it. I found myself mixing a bit of Disney's Hercules with some Harry Potter magic, and while it wasn't where I saw myself going in the beginning, I am glad it is where I landed. Control Freak

So, I may have found my way into Fetish Fair, and my not have been able to walk away without some latex. But hey it's sexy shiny latex goodness it is hard to resist by definition! Soul release her new generation of Drow skins this past week, and it's hard to resist showing off a good skin. Thus the Catsuit form Sn@tch seemed the perfect fit with it's plunging cleavage showing zipper and corset lacing to enhance the backside. I don't know about you but I think it's time to have some fun.

Sugar And Spice

Sometimes you just have to try something out of the normal and this time I tried to channel a piece of my more kawaii days... But of course I couldn't just jump straight there, I added in the bit of edge I seem to be feeding off of these days for a more bubbly creepy goth kawaii look and feel and I have to say I think it suits me. At least when the light hits the pink hair just right and you can see mischievous sparkle back in my eyes.

Promised Land

Take me to the promised land.

You have no idea how long it took me to find this armor. However, when I finally found the gacha, it was completely worth it. Initially I wanted to get the iron set, but when I tried on the full silver set, I fell in love with it. The body and boots are fitted mesh, while the shoulder pads and necklace are unrigged mesh. Sadly, it's not modify, but it does include a resizer script to fit it to your avatar! I felt like something was missing though, so I opted to grab some of my favorite bracers from The Forge, which were a bit dark but I think that they went well with the under toning of the armor. I finished off with a final touch of green with this headpiece from Keystone, I got it a cool minute ago, but it's still a favorite. Once I was dressed I had to figure out posing, I was stumped until I realized I had purchased Hopscotch's dancing blades poses. They were too perfect, so I found one of my favorite spots, and took a picture. It doesn't even feel like I'm in Secondlife!

After The Fact

Pain, Lust, and Desire.

You can probably tell exactly what kind of mood I was in, just by looking at this post. I wanted to capture the mood of lust, a very tough subject to capture. The way I wanted to go about it was focusing on the craving, the writhing, and the desire rather than the act and the doing. I played off of a couple of my personal RL kinks to bring this together; shibari bondage, sensory deprivation, ballgags, lingerie, lipstick, and high heels of course! I got these particular ones from a new and upcoming place called Pinks, which their particular style is directed towards femininity and babygirls that love, well, pink! Being a creepy goth/metal chick, I personally opted for the black and red heels, but if you like bright colors, it's definitely a place for you.

Hypnotique

I'm gonna run away, into your eyes blue.

The feeling of blue overtook me with this one. I was sitting down in calm contemplation during my painful hours when I felt compelled to put this together. Life has seemed so grey, but yet, there are touches of such strong emotion that bring color to my reality. Sometimes, it seems ephemeral like that of a wisp of smoke. This beautiful headdress is yet another stunning piece of art by Zibska, of which heavily inspired me with this post. There are ten colors for the main and accent feather, as well as ten colors for the bird; so there are various color combinations you can achieve. With it I had paired one of her makeups that was just too perfect of a color not to go.

I Can Do Anything

So I decided to try my hand at something I've seen many bloggers do, but until this point I had never done on the blog. Thanks to participating as a skin fair blogger I received a whole pack of skins from [PXL], having asked for just one and not expecting to be one of the lucky few that got blogger items at all, so I could work with it and show it off I was floored that I was given so many options. Thus I wanted to try something that showed off more of the options than my traditional one at a time. So I took a trick that I have seen bloggers and stores do before but gave it my twist changing up the colors of the rest of what I use with each different shot.

The base avatar is the same for all 4 of my versions, but the make-up and add-ons are different for each. I lost my attention span and groove after completing just the 4 different Pale tone options they have out for skin fair, but you see how versatile these options are in each different picture and the same goes for the other 3 tones they have out. Though I will admit I do enjoy hitting the whole look with all I've got, and making each shot something truly unique is more my style, I may not look past this method in the future as I have in the past when I'm feeling overwhelmed but want to show off all the things!

Autumn Thorn

I'dolen vanim.

It's high time that I broke my Elven love again. Be it D&D, Tolkien, etc. I find elves absolutely beautiful creatures and they typically have equally wonderful lore to match. Elves however have always been a touchy subject for me though, considering the mockery you see of them that typically look like mundane humans with ridiculous ears. Pointed ears does not an elf make. For mine I went with a classic combination of black hair and grey eyes.

Now when I was formulating my elf, it just so happened that I was taken on as a blogger for JOLI's beautiful new products for Skin Fair. Her Justine skin (bare) had such the perfect facial features I could not resist, then seeing it in her vampire tone my jaw dropped- There was the perfect basis for creating an elf. Justine will be available in 9 tones (Alabaster, Bronze, Cafe, Cream, Pale, Rosy, Sunkissed, Tan, & Vampire), each including a variety of makeup layer options and appliers of course! I definitely recommend grabbing Justine at the Skin Fair, for she's a steal of a deal while she's there. Ears were quite the quick hunt, but choosing a befitting adornment was difficult- Until my eyes laid upon Zibska's Bliss set. It's available for We <3 Role-play (March 4-31), coming in 8 colors for the main, accent, and orbit. It's a beautiful set, absolutely perfect for fantasy roleplayers.

Walking With Strangers

So the Creepy Kawaii fair opened and I've been as excited as a teen going to their first rock concert. I've had my eye on a few things, and it just so happened there was a dress that had its eye on me! So I absolutely had to grab it immediately. The first thing I thought was bubble goth, so I dolled up. Pigtails, violet lipgloss, some decorative cross makeup, garters, and some ruffles, I was ready. I grabbed my trusty umbrella and went running around in my new outfit.

So this post was suppose to appear before I disappeared for a month, but RL got in the way and that didn't get to happen. So despite the outfit no longer being part of FLF I am blogging it anyway because I look pretty damn good in it and there are so many color options for the different parts it would be a shame not to show it off.

Don't ask what made me choose to use pink of all the colors on the HUD(there are a TON). I think the bright neon was just calling to me...

Can't Fight the Moonlight

Well, as it is tradition, I am part of the Fallen God and Goddesses Election this year and I have to show off my entry and expand on the look because that's just how I roll these days. This year my entry literally got in just under the wire and I couldn't have pulled it off without the help of my epic partner in crime Kaylith. This year I moved away from the more defined goddess aspect and moved more towards what felt natural to me at this time of year and I can't say I'm the least bit sorry. I LOVED last years picture and actually had it mostly planned for 6 months waiting for the competition while I honed my skills and Kaylith did the same. This year I looked up and the time to put in my entry was upon us and Kaylith and I looked at each other and went "k, time to do what we do best". So here is what I am going to consider OUR entry since I could not possibly have done it without her help and she didn't have the chance to do one herself.

So I am definitely struggling with this whole balancing a real job and a social life and keeping up with the internet and sadly the internet and my blog are getting the short end of the stick. Hopefully after Dragon Con I will be able to reevaluate my time around all the things and give the internet and my blogging a bit more love. This Is What Rock N Roll Looks Like

So last week at one point I was in the mood to style, but totally uninspired and my emotions were all over the place. Well in comes Kaylith and goes well fine then I will give you a song style challenge and you will like it! Well I managed to shoot down the new lovey-dovey songs she tried to throw at me first by reminding her that I was in my "weird mood" with emotions rollercoastering and she decided to take a different approach. When I came back from doing a few chores this awaited me.

And well it instantly grabbed my attention. Yes, Kaylith really does know me better than I know myself some days...

So glad I stumbled upon Goth1c0's new releases on Flickr because they brought this look to the level it almost missed. And the fact that Kaylith squirreled away this skin ages ago and already had it ready to share because she knew that three seconds after hearing the lyric I would pause the song and ask for it. Anyways I will let the song and the look do the rest of the talking while I try to get my RL to shut up so I can blog some more.
