A Lost Flower

Despite having a great love for them, I do not play with bright or neon colors as much as I should. Tiffany Designs put out a beautiful Summer Gown in four colors (Azul, Pink, Yellow, Black), all with gorgeous pink/orange accents. The Summer Gown includes legacy clothing layers, a rigged mesh skirt panel in five standard sizes, a rigged mesh skirt in standard sizes which are all no modify, but the unrigged skirt ruffles and chest piece are modify and includes a delteable resize script for easy fitting. For makeup, I decided to accent the colors of the dress with a sexy noir eyeshadow from Zibska (which is currently at Project Limited, so you better hurry to get you copy!) and some beautifully bright lipstick from Nova. For jewelry I went with Zibska's Liesel set minus the necklace to really bring out the orange in the flowers. I adore Zibska's stone texture, it has the perfect tones to go with almost anything! For hair I went with a very simple updo, as not to detract from the intricacy of the chestpiece. Admittedly, finding a pose for this gown was a challenge because I didn't want to go with a simple pose, I wanted emotion and attitude! Posesion was my savior, so I set out for a shoot.

Stairway To Oasis

White and gold is definitely one of my more favorite combinations, Lyrical B!zarre created a stunning gown for FashionTropic in that lovely combination, featuring a gorgeous palm print. This gown is so soft and flows so beautifully, it's definitely one that I am going to find myself wearing again and again. But can you believe this is actually a template? Yes, they're selling this 100% original creation as a full permission template that you can create your own version with! It was jaw dropping to me because the package includes the gown in five standard sizes, an unrigged mesh belt, unrigged mesh earrings, and a flexi piece that's done just right. I decided to keep my style for this beautiful dress a bit more simple, as not to go gaudy and detract from it. White Widow had the perfect makeup to go with, in the perfect shade even; but that's not a big surprise there, their color palette has never once disappointed me. Belle comes with 5 colors (Silver, Champagne, Cyan, Red, Black), 2 options (with and without eyeshadow), and includes appliers for the Eve Visage, Slink Visage, Lelutka, and TMP mesh heads. For lipstick I went with one of Nova's Izobel lipsticks since it was quite the nice offset in color. The Izobel lipsticks include 9 shades with 2 sizes (for skins that have larger lips), Loud Mouth, Nyam Nyam, and Sweet Lips appliers. Then believe it or not, this beautiful hair was actually a free full fatpack gift from Murray at Hair Fair 2015! It doesn't seem Murray has an in world or marketplace store up just yet, but I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye open. I ended up finding a PosESioN pose that worked beautifully with the gown, then headed out for a shoot.

Recollection In the Sand

"Earthbound, yet undetainable."

My posting has been a bit slow this month with all of my trips to the Venice beach, more precisely the Freakshow to hang out with my friends that work there. Going to the beach got me back in the mood to do another tropical post and since FashionTropic is still going strong until the end of this month, I decided to pick up a new bathing suit. Ghee put out an array of different items for swimwear, all mix'n'match compatible with each other! It was incredibly fun playing with the different pieces since each comes with 5 colors, all HUD controlled. Trying to decide on accessories was a difficult one, not because I could not find what I was looking for, rather I had trouble choosing from the beautiful designs that Moondane had out. I ended up going with their Hibiscus falls, which includes a necklace, a headpiece, and a pair of earrings. this jewelry set is no modify, but shiny, full bright, resize, and textures can be controlled via touch menu. There are 6 metal textures, 10 gems, and 10 flower textures included. Hair was definitely an easy choice, since Moon has this gorgeous style out for Hair Fair. Admittedly I did just use it in a pose recently, but it wasn't quite shown off, so I had to use it again to show you the beauty of this style! As far as makeup goes, I went with my favorite eyeliner from cStar (the most well made eyeliner in SL in my opinion) and some gorgeous green eyeshadow from Zibska. Posing was rather difficult because I was not entirely sure what I wanted to do; at first I thought about sitting in the tides, but one my best friends had just made some new poses that were unreleased and this one in particular called out to me. I convinced her to let me use the pose (and hopefully release it sooner than later) and set out for a shoot.

Crystal Blue

Not even going to lie, I may be attuned to the darker and alternative fashions, but I'm really loving these gorgeous tropical designs. We still have a couple of days until FashionTropic opens on the 7th, but you can expect tons of beautiful designs. This dress from Dead Dollz is one of my favorites so far. It is a lovely mermaid skirt with a long sleeve croptop in a sunny yellow and sky blue ombre. It is no modify rigged mesh, coming with five standard sizes. I accessorized it with Poute's Plumeria Flower Hair Piece which will also be available at FashionTropic, and Zibska's Liesel set which is currently out for a Game of Thrones inspired medieval event. Liesel is an unrigged, modifiable jewelry set that includes a pair of earrings, a collar, and a necklace that all come with 10 metal and 10 stone colors controlled via HUD. For hair and cosmetics I went with one of my favorite moon hairs (which is a beautiful fishtail braid), my favorite eyeliner in SL, eyeshadow from Zibska, and Ghee's Tropical Mix Nails which are part of Ghee's Mix & Match Beachwear collection. I really loved how this look came together, so I ran over to a lovely tropical beach for a quick shoot.

Coastal Break

It's definitely been a while since I've last done a tropical themed shoot and post. FashionTropic is right around the corner, so what better time to get back into it than now? FashionTropic by iNOVARE is a tropical themed fashion art event taking place from July 7th to July 30th. I know this post is a bit early, but I really couldn't resist myself since I was feeling completely inspired. Meva will have these stylish bamboo sunglasses out for the event. They are unrigged, modifiable mesh with HUD driven texture control. There are 6 colors for the lenses, 7 colors for the frames and legs, and 5 colors for the metal accents; so there's plenty of combinations achievable. Byrne has out this breezey outfit perfect for looking good on the beach. It is a no modify, rigged mesh outfit that comes in two colors and includes a top, a skirt, and a scarf all in standard sizing. For the shoot I chose to go to one of my favorite tropical beaches just around sunset. Ahhh... I love the beach!
