Sombre Blooms

It's been one of those days where my emotions have driven me to style and create, so that my heart could be sated. The meaning of this photo, I will leave open to interpretation.
But for my style, I chose to use a long empire gown from Peqe, a layered, dark metal collar from Charm, and this beautiful floral headpiece from Zibska. Adra includes two versions of the headpiece, with and without the dangling bits, and ten colors for the roses, chains, and beads. this beautiful, lengthy hair from Little Bones really called out to me for this look. Hello includes 3 rigged mesh sizes, with and without an additional rigged arm piece. I chose to go without the arm piece for this look, because I wanted bare arms. For makeup, I went with a dark, very smoky eyeshadow, dark lips, and my favorite hand tattoo all from Zibska. For the set I actually ended up using a couple roses from the headpiece and petals from her Blanchefleur set (tinted) to achieve the flowing petals. As for the pose, once again custom made to properly convey the feeling I desired.

The Guardian

This month has been an incredibly busy one, so I have been lacking on blogging as much as I really should have been. So to make up for it, I decided to style up and create a sexy fantasy look-- not very effective for combat really. That is unless I was in an MMO, then this would be some of the higher level armor, probably. Take a look at that headpiece though, it is the Demon Hido Horns from Aii, which includes unrigged mesh horns in 18 colors and unrigged feathers in 2 colors, both modify and excellent for a demon character or as decorative armor! I opted to use it with some gorgeous armor pieces from The Forge (which are also modify), and this jewelry set from Charm. Charm currently has her Runyan jewelry out for The Fantasy Gacha carnival, which has a headepiece (rare), a harness, armlets, earrings, and a belt (all commons) in 3 metal colors (gold, silver, copper) that can be won. As for the shoot, I decided to once again make my own pose, then go pose with a pretty golden tinted sword in a lovely forestry area.

Resonance

The PENUMBRA Autumn/Winter Fashion Week 2015 has officially begun! With it, it has brought some truly beautiful designs and fantastic live fashion shows, entertainment, and events. I was given the complete honor to be an official blogger and I can say I am completely blown away with the gorgeous designs I was able to play with. Meva's Pipes set includes a necklace and a pair of earrings of stunning quality of the mesh model, texturing, and it's modify! The tones came off as coppery with a bit of gold to me, so I decided to style in an elegant but very sexy style. Zibska's Fiachra set had these shoulder pieces, with the right color combination, were the perfect golden feather accent (that is also acting as a top). For the skirt, I went with a floor length, high-waist one from Peqe, which features a lovely mermaid skirt and a peplum. For makeup I went with a very, very neutral lipstick and a smokey black eyeshadow from Zibska. As for posing, I again created my own pose for the exact body language I desired.

Entwining Corruption

Zibska lately has been making darker oriented pieces that have been making my gothic little heart want to beat out of my chest. A while a go she posted an artpiece featuring these horns that had me excited for their release. Finally they were released along with a collar and spiked paldron set, and a stunning dress covered in branched and birds for the October round of We <3 Roleplay. Both Algar and Bjorg are unrigged, modifiable attachments with 30 stunning color options, controlled via HUD. I decided to use the collar from the Bjorg set with the Algar horns since it was too perfect of a fit. Since I've been delving into the darker parts of my mind  more often than not lately, I reflected it in my style, but I did keep my blonde hair as to break up all the darkness and give a lovely contrast to it. As for eyes however, most would think to go with red eyes, however I felt some piercing yellow eyes were a bit more unsettling for this look. I went with an extreme mesh liner from Glam Affair, smokey eyeshadow from Zibska, some 'warpaint' from Nuuna, and an accentuating lip line also from Zibska. As for further accessories, I tied it in with Zibska's Mallt hand tattoo with pointed nails and these delightfully painful arm piercings from CerberusXing. Is it apparent that I like the shade black and spikes yet?

Haute Felidae

Just going to start this post off by saying OMG! Moon Hair collaborated with Vale Koer to bring us this amazing mask and hair combo! I have to say it's been a while since I've seen something of this caliber in collaboration, because the quality of the hair and mask is jaw dropping. Moon kept with her astounding quality in her hair with all of her usual color packs, and Vale Koer brought us a masterfully made mask with 5 gem colors and 5 projection colors, so the materials are seriously phenomenal. Both Silent Acoustic and Bob are amazing at what they do and together, they have created a masterpiece. I decided to style it with a haute flavor, using a sexy gown from Peqe, a perfectly accentuating harness from The Forge, my favorite thigh high boots from Zibska, and a pair of long gloves. Finding a pose I was happy with was a daunting task, so I once again made my own.

The Shield Maiden

"You couldn't kill me if you tried for a hundred years."

I have quite possibly been watching a bit too much of the show Vikings in what free time I have these days. It worked out well because Aii had released this hair that reminded me of Lagertha, in which I took the idea and ran with it. Piecing the outfit together was definitely easy, since I already had most of the components. Thresh was released for the men's even, The Arena. It is a modifiable, rigged mesh hair that comes with both a male and a female version, as well as a version with silver or gold hooks. I thought finding an outfit would be harder than it was, but it turns out Meli Imako had one that was pretty spot on-- and it's full permissions. Personally I don't plan on using it for creations, but if you want an accurately shaped shield maiden set for your creations, definitely consider this one. SciLab happened to have this lovely high quality mesh broadsword, which was pretty close to what I was looking for. It includes two versions, one for their combat system and one unscripted, modifiable version for photographers. The shield however was non-existent from what I could find, so I made it for myself out of prims. It's not the fanciest, but it got the job done; if you want a copy, just poke me in world and I'll give it to you for free. So after donning my war paint and my favorite Mjolnir, I set out for a photoshoot of my take on Lagertha.

Let The Games Begin

"If it's a game you want, I'll play to win."

Well, the title of this post is a not so subtle Hunger Games reference. We all know if it involves competition, blood, and violence, it's a book (and a show, I guess) I'm interested in. When I stumbled upon this outfit from Zibska, I knew I needed to grab it and set out for a shoot. Flavie (and a few other gorgeous ensembles) are a collaboration with Spartin Parx and Alyx Aerallo; and they're absolutely stunning! Flavie includes a rigged mesh jacket, skirt, and boots for Slink high feet that are no modify, as well as an unrigged modifiable headpiece (that's incredibly easy to fit), alpha layer, and shoe base. This outfit is absolutely gorgeous and high class, so I instantly fell in love with it. I decided to add a fur stole to emphasize the wealthy woman of power feel that this outfit says to me. Still it needed one little thing and I wasn't quite sure until I looked down at my hand in the real world. Duh, I needed an onyx ring! So I grabbed my personal favorite one from Sn@tch, then set out for the shoot.

Dead Is The New Alive

When obsession with death becomes a way of life.

I'm not entirely sure what inspired this outfit, but when I saw what this makeup form Nuuna paired with this beautiful jewelry that Zibska has out for May's round of We <3 Roleplay, the pieces just started falling together. I had to go with something a bit more dark oriented, but I think it gives a bit of an undead vibe. Plus I absolutely love this dress from Peqe, I'm obsessed with it right now. Though I did have some trouble making up my mind on what shoes I wanted to wear with it, but these boots from Razor really called to me.
