Well vacation is over, time for me to get back to blogging and I have to say I fell in LOVE with this look I assembled right before I left and couldn't wait to show it off. In The Library With The...

Sometimes a look just calls my name and urges me to put it together. That happened Friday while I was at work and was looking at Facebook and Plurk to get me through the day. I Will Not Bow

So in case you have been under a rock like I was last week and have missed the first few day of The Lexi Project I hope you will climb out form under said rock and do some shopping for a good cause like I did. If you haven't heard the creator behind AngelRED Couture got some rather crappy news news at the end of June, she has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. And we all know that cancer sucks, which is why when one of our own gets hit with a nasty curve ball and opens up to us as a community we do what we can to help them win their fight. Thus the creation of The Lexi Project. Over 300 creators in SL have banded together to create this event that has 100% of profits going straight to Lexi to help her pay her medical bills through this tough time. So please if you have the urge to go on a SL check out The Lexi Project and allow your L$ to go to a good cause, or if you don't get the urge to buy all the purple things in SL you can donate L$ through one of the various kiosks, or donate directly on her GoFundMe page. I've never been more excited for a fair until I heard about the Dark Style fair. Seeing all the amazing things the designers have out is definitely making my wallet cry, but my wardrobe scream in celebration! Speaking of, Moon released this hair that is coincidentally is absolutely perfect for masks. Do you know how long I've been trying to find a hair to work with this mask? You don't want to know. So centered around the avian theme, I wanted to do something a little bit burlesque. It required some modifications to some feathery accessories I had, but I think it turned out well.

A Rose By Any Other Name

Probably wouldn't have as many thorns, but I'm pretty sure it just wouldn't be the same thing. Anyways I know I seem to have a rose thing going on lately but you can blame the creators for that because for the past 2 months roses have been like the flower to appear on all the things. But this post started being plotted back before Valentines day when Jaimy leaked the preview for these shoes and I already knew then I had to have them. And I have to say this is one of those times where "Good things come to those who wait" defiantly applies.

As soon as I saw the final advertisement (which I totally had to post too because it is a work of art in itself - Go Fave the Picture on Flickr) I was floored, and thus I spent the free time I had opening day of Whore Couture spamming to teleport into the sim just to buy the shoes and the body jewelry. Of course RL had other things to say by the time I got in and could start styling it but hey again good things come to those who wait...

Walking With Strangers

She's falling asleep as she's walking with strangers.

So the Creepy Kawaii fair opened and I've been as excited as a teen going to their first rock concert. I've had my eye on a few things, and it just so happened there was a dress that had its eye on me! So I absolutely had to grab it immediately. The first thing I thought was bubble goth, so I dolled up. Pigtails, violet lipgloss, some decorative cross makeup, garters, and some ruffles, I was ready. I grabbed my trusty umbrella and went running around in my new outfit.

So it is Project Limited time again and while I missed the rush to get some of the stuff I wanted there was still a few must haves left in stock and you should grab them before they are gone if they aren't already. Born in the Wrong Generation

So if you're looking at this photo and the first thing you think is Red Hot Chili Peppers or a hint of Nirvana, then you're right. I was listening to my favorite albums while styling this look, setting up the set, and working on it in photoshop. I sometimes feel like I was just born in the wrong generation, or a generation too late. But that's okay, because the musicians I adore will live on through their music.
Anywho now about the outfit itself, I was able to get my hands on a copy of cStar Limited's Jessie skin in Shine. I absolutely love how it looks on my shape and as I looked at it, I though... This looks like she could be a pretty kickass musician. So I grabbed my favorite skinny jeans from MoiMoi, a tartan shirt from Miel, and some classic sneaks from Deco. I picked up my guitar, turned on my amp and got ready to play!

Can't Fight the Moonlight

Well, as it is tradition, I am part of the Fallen God and Goddesses Election this year and I have to show off my entry and expand on the look because that's just how I roll these days. This year my entry literally got in just under the wire and I couldn't have pulled it off without the help of my epic partner in crime Kaylith. This year I moved away from the more defined goddess aspect and moved more towards what felt natural to me at this time of year and I can't say I'm the least bit sorry. I LOVED last years picture and actually had it mostly planned for 6 months waiting for the competition while I honed my skills and Kaylith did the same. This year I looked up and the time to put in my entry was upon us and Kaylith and I looked at each other and went "k, time to do what we do best". So here is what I am going to consider OUR entry since I could not possibly have done it without her help and she didn't have the chance to do one herself.

I went from Goddess in 2012, to priestess goddess in 2013, to straight up witchcraft this year, but I'm still rocking that Fallen Gods skin goodness! If you have a few minutes please go vote for me and any of the other great pictures on the walls HERE.
