The Centipede

I'm going to start this out by saying I'm seriously terrified of centipedes. Of all things to be scared of and so many things I'm not scared of, centipedes get me. So that being said, I was dared to style this Centipede body from Aii. The Centipede includes a tattoo in 8 colors (plus one tintable one), omega and TMP appliers, a rigged mesh body with AO, an unrigged top, unrigged horns, and a color change HUD. There are 11 colors for the shell, 11 colors for the belly, 12 colors for the legs, and 7 colors for the pincher; UV and shadow maps for customization included as well. To top off the dare, Maddy added that I should use gold as a color scheme. Challenge accepted! So off I went in search of what to use. At Dead Dollz I found this gold bodysuit that was sexy, and the way the hips are cut on it worked perfectly with the centipede body and lets the centipede tattoo peek out. At that point it dawned on me that it would match perfectly with Titzuki's pitgirl bracers in gold! I loved the shape of Zibska's Bjorg collar, so with some careful adjustment it fit perfectly. As for cosmetics, I used this eyeshadow from Zibska, nails from Finesmith, and a custom eye stripe I may release later. I must say posing with this tail was a bit difficult, but I managed to make my own pose that just demanded an editorial hair.

Mother's Day was an incredibly rough day for me since I lost my mother back in late 2013, so I was feeling uninspired the day of and days prior because my heart was hurting. However, the artist that is the owner and creator of Keystone handed me a blogger's box. I felt really honored when I opened the box to find this gorgeous jewelry set, then especially so when I saw that it's limited edition and only 200 sets are available for the duration of The Fantasy Gacha, then it's gone forever. The attention to detail on this jewelry set is jaw dropping in my opinion, because not only is it stunningly beautiful, it's also completely efficient and modifiable mesh. The set includes a pair of earrings, a pair of armlets, a bellychain, and an elegant headpiece. The set includes two metals (Gold, Dark Silver), and two gems (Onyx, Purple), with all options included (Gold/Purple, Gold/Onyx, Dark Silver Purple, Dark Silver Onyx). So if you love roleplay, fantasy, or just want to rock a unique jewelry set, I'd recommend grabbing your copy before it's gone forever! When I was styling up I initially started with a very gothic gown, but I realized it was distracting from the jewelry and I wanted the jewelry to be the main focus of this shoot. So I did a little shopping and went with a more simple camisk from Soedara that still paid homage to my dark tastes, yet let the jewelry take main focus. It included Slink Physique appliers, so I just HAD to have it. Finding a pose was pretty impossible for the look I wanted to achieve, so I ended up making one just for this shoot.

The Fantasy Fair holds quite a bit of promise this year. One of the talented designers released this neck piece that caught my eye and made my jaw drop. The Gladiator's Neckplate is beautifully made unrigged, modifiable mesh with tintable fur. There is also a special edition painted version that the proceeds go to Relay for Life! I'm completely impressed with this piece of armor, down to the details of the material mapping. When I first was playing with it, I got it to fit easily to my female avatar, until I realized that I wanted to play with it as a male. So I brought him out, put on a bit of war paint, and snapped a picture.

Promised Land

Take me to the promised land.

You have no idea how long it took me to find this armor. However, when I finally found the gacha, it was completely worth it. Initially I wanted to get the iron set, but when I tried on the full silver set, I fell in love with it. The body and boots are fitted mesh, while the shoulder pads and necklace are unrigged mesh. Sadly, it's not modify, but it does include a resizer script to fit it to your avatar! I felt like something was missing though, so I opted to grab some of my favorite bracers from The Forge, which were a bit dark but I think that they went well with the under toning of the armor. I finished off with a final touch of green with this headpiece from Keystone, I got it a cool minute ago, but it's still a favorite. Once I was dressed I had to figure out posing, I was stumped until I realized I had purchased Hopscotch's dancing blades poses. They were too perfect, so I found one of my favorite spots, and took a picture. It doesn't even feel like I'm in Secondlife!

With cStar Limited's recent move, the absolutely wonderful artist has released a brand new skin for those of us who love fantasy, pale skin, and pastel colors. This delicate, pink hued fae hybrid with marble eyes is named Elvy and she has a lore of her very own.

"Elvy is a pale fae elf who is connected to nature and at peace with the flowers and trees. Nature keeps her happy and harmonious!  Her closest friends are the creatures of the forest.  She keeps her creative heart close to her skin and enjoys painting pretty and cute flowers on her face.  Her passions are art, yoga, crafting vine jewelry, and archery.  Her immense skills as an archer are what keep her home in the forest safe.  She paints tribal lines on her cheeks from octopus ink.  Though her only weakness is the strong sun during midday.  Her best times are at night.  Her eyes are made of polished marble rocks that were given to her as a gift from a mysterious young man.  She never got his name but he did say one thing to her, "I gift you this...So you may see the world's reflection." This skin is so soft and lovely, she reminded me of a painted porcelain faery figurine I often see in magick shops. Looking at her I couldn't help but think of pink petals of a flower, so I found it fitting I would have her resting in the bounty of nature she loves. Finding the right forest was definitely a task, but I did manage to find one that was perfect. Elvy comes in a total of 10 fair tones (Albino, Baby Shell, Dawn, Ghost Milk, Illusive White, Ivory, Light, Marble, Peal, & Snow Panther) and includes four breast options, a pair of marble eyes, and appliers.

Autumn Thorn

I'dolen vanim.

It's high time that I broke my Elven love again. Be it D&D, Tolkien, etc. I find elves absolutely beautiful creatures and they typically have equally wonderful lore to match. Elves however have always been a touchy subject for me though, considering the mockery you see of them that typically look like mundane humans with ridiculous ears. Pointed ears does not an elf make. For mine I went with a classic combination of black hair and grey eyes.

Now when I was formulating my elf, it just so happened that I was taken on as a blogger for JOLI's beautiful new products for Skin Fair. Her Justine skin (bare) had such the perfect facial features I could not resist, then seeing it in her vampire tone my jaw dropped- There was the perfect basis for creating an elf. Justine will be available in 9 tones (Alabaster, Bronze, Cafe, Cream, Pale, Rosy, Sunkissed, Tan, & Vampire), each including a variety of makeup layer options and appliers of course! I definitely recommend grabbing Justine at the Skin Fair, for she's a steal of a deal while she's there. Ears were quite the quick hunt, but choosing a befitting adornment was difficult- Until my eyes laid upon Zibska's Bliss set. It's available for We <3 Role-play (March 4-31), coming in 8 colors for the main, accent, and orbit. It's a beautiful set, absolutely perfect for fantasy roleplayers.

Hands of Regrowth

The damage has been done, it is time to grow again.

One of the things things I really love about Aii, is the fact she is one of the few creators in Secondlife that creates strange and beautiful things. I'm completely honored to be able to blog and create art with her creations! Seeing as I have an affinity for eyeballs and plants, her Ivy Growth made me squee with absolute delight. The fact that she had matching animated mesh eyes made it even better! This strange and lovely ivy growth comes in four colors (Pink, Gold, Violet, & Red), a glowing version using a subtle light, and animated eyes in the flowers. The pasties are unrigged mesh while the facial/neck piece is rigged mesh. Her Youkai animated mesh eyes feature a pulsing pupil, a glow option and come in seven colors (Crimson, Gold, Green, Ice, Pinku, Purple, & Teal). the multitude of extra arms are also from Aii, and are rigged mesh with single pair options and UV maps included, so you can retexture them to match perfectly.

Now this skin is a recent release from cStar Limited, her name being Angie. She's a fresh and lovely face with little makeup, a soft beautiful body with fine details, and uniquely colored features on each skin tone. Oh also, she comes in 140 (Yes, one hundred and forty) skin tones! She currently is available in gacha to play, but there is a reseller vendor you can look through to see if someone sold back your desired tone. If not, you can always trade with other cStar fanatics.

An Essence of Magick

Look around, open your eyes, and the magick all around us will be reveal to you!

This post initially was inspired by the beautiful jewelry of Keystone. The creator makes some beautifully crafted, 100% original mesh jewelry that makes my fantasy side sing in delight. I sat for a while unsure of how I would style it, but looking at cStar Limited's shelves, I picked up a skin that I positively fell in love with. With hair from Moon {hair}, eyes from Clemm, and a dress from Sn@tch, I was set and ready to go with one thought in my head-- Purple. So with that inspiration, I posed up at one of my favorite locations. Something however was... just missing. It wasn't until my friend Degra's picture popped up in my Flickr feed that I remembered: ELF EARS! (Degra makes so many ears, noses, and other neat stuff!) I grabbed a pair he made, popped them on, colored them, and was good to go. The shutters of my camera sounded and here we are.

By The Dividing Stream

Fantasy? Magic? Mystery? Warriors? I've been listening to too much Dio and Ensiferum. Actually, nawh, I can never get enough! Excuse me while I turn it up. Heheh.
Anyways I'm totally on a purple kick right now if it totally isn't apparent. Keystone's Bryre Crown had me drooling since it came out. I've finally gotten my hands on it and I completely and utterly LOVE it. Not to mention their recent group gift, Varika'Vys collar, which is absolutely beautiful. Both of these are a high quality unrigged mesh. The Bryre crown comes with 9 gem colors, 10 string colors and 10 bone colors all in a convenient HUD and one script in the crown itself.
For a while I couldn't find a hair I liked to go with the crown, but my best friend and the genius behind this blog pointed me at the hair Wasabi Pills had out for the Fantasy Fair. Dragon, I gotta say, I don't know what I'd do without you! But from there, I found a pretty location in one of my favorite forests in a stream, put on a little warpaint, posed and snapped a photo! <3
