I Will Not Bow

So in case you have been under a rock like I was last week and have missed the first few day of The Lexi Project I hope you will climb out form under said rock and do some shopping for a good cause like I did. If you haven't heard the creator behind AngelRED Couture got some rather crappy news news at the end of June, she has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. And we all know that cancer sucks, which is why when one of our own gets hit with a nasty curve ball and opens up to us as a community we do what we can to help them win their fight. Thus the creation of The Lexi Project. Over 300 creators in SL have banded together to create this event that has 100% of profits going straight to Lexi to help her pay her medical bills through this tough time. So please if you have the urge to go on a SL check out The Lexi Project and allow your L$ to go to a good cause, or if you don't get the urge to buy all the purple things in SL you can donate L$ through one of the various kiosks, or donate directly on her GoFundMe page. So please take a look at not only the small handful of items I am blogging but go check out the event and help this wonderful member of our SL community get the funds she needs so that she doesn't have to worry about her bills and can instead focus her energy on beating cancer's butt.

When The Love Runs Out

So some of you may have noticed I've been rather quiet since the Shadow Of The Day post... That is due in large part to the feelings behind that post coming to fruition and ending up being a bit more than feelings... About 5 hours after that post went live my now ex sent me an email to break up with me, well a PDF attached to an email. Such classy fellows I date right?!? So needless to say my emotions have been such that creates a bit of a problem. I have worked on a number of looks since that day, but I have been having a problem actually getting them photographed in such a way that I am able to convey enough of the emotion behind them that I feel they can be posted. Luckily this morning I had a break through with this one and hopefully the others are on the way to following so that I can post some this month before I spend the second half of it moving and unable to post. So here is the first of the posts that are the emotional journey of what I am going through...

Just so we are clear because I know there are a few people that will see this and worry, I am mostly over the break-up. I got dumped because I am too good for him; those are his own words. The way that the relationship fell apart pointed this out to me. I'm still a bit hurt but mostly because I did everything right, and it got repaid in the most classy *cleans up pile of dripped sarcasm* of ways.

Hello Kawaii

When All Is Said And Done

AlterEgo has re-grabbed my attention after I fell away from it for some reason and I can't help but wonder what I ever thought was missing in the first place. Maybe I just got grumpy during the start of the appliers craze since big boobs and an even bigger butt don't appeal to me 9 times out of 10. But there is just something about AlterEgo that is drawing me back. And this time I might be here to stay. Shirts with built in bigger boobs so I don't have to mess with appliers and system layers pants that I can tuck into my favorite boots and not look like I jumped back to 2012. And loads of the edgy style that I am slowly leaning towards as of late. Either way AlterEgo is back in my mix.

I fell in LOVE with this Photo Prop Scene and I'm sure I will use it more than once because of the variety it has built in plus the other endless possibilities with all the different angles and my sneaky poseball usage.

Pank Is The New Black

So I find it incredibly ironic that the BlackOut2014 event has more pink stuff out than black but I think it was intended that way. Either way I found a few goodies to fall in love with and have to show them off!

You know the first thing I went for was these shoes! RAINBOWS! Closely followed by the gas mask because well it is snowpocalypse down here in the south and between being prepared and rainbows I was a must buy. Not sure if this tattoo is hiding else where and I've just been missing it or if it is special for the event but I saw it and grabbed it before I accidentally missed my only chance if it was a BlackOut only item. And well since the pank was prominent all over the place and yesterday reminded me of my love for this dress I had to break down and snag it in hot pink. Who knows maybe one day my entire wardrobe will be pink...
