You Spin Me Right Round

So anyone that gets to know Kaylith knows she has a -thing- for Harley Quinn, probably has something to do with the clown like aspects but hey I won't judge. And well it has rubbed off on me to the point I'm actually reading the comics and have become rather obsessed with the red and black trouble maker myself. All this leads to silly ideas that start to come together when a knife throwers assistant outfit comes out the same time a Joker themed knife wheel. Now some more side not back story as to WHY my manic giggle escape my throat as the photo was forming in my minds eye. If you haven't seen The Devils Carnival you should get on it because it really is masterfully done and the way they bring Aesop's Fables to life are marvelous! But back to my point the story like of the scorpion and the frog is probably my favorite of the stories that they bring to like and it might have to do with the role Emilie Autumn plays, but if you have seen the movie you see how it ties to this post without me giving out any spoilers. Then the fact that the Joker themed wheel fell into my hands and well just about everyone that knows who Harley and Joker are knows their relationship woes so the plot thickened and I dragged my favorite partner in crime into my plots. Anyway enough of my rambling time to reveal the work of art that Kaylith photographed and edited.

Clowning Around

My heart goes out today to my bestie, my other half, my partner in crime. It was one year ago today that she lost her mother, her rock. But I am so proud of her because she has had it rough and has still managed to push through continuing her education and doing what she loves. So today I honor her and her mother's memory as I clown around.

Even in the darkest places there is a spark of light if you just look for it. Sometimes all it takes is a simple smile to turn someones day around. And for those of you terrified of clowns. Familiar Taste Of Poison

No idea where this streak of blogging mojo came form but I won't object! Time to share another look that I concocted over the past few days!

All of a sudden Halestorm is blasting in my ears and my rocker edge style came to the surface. It totally helps that within the past few days these boots, the hair, and the rings were released and were instant *grabby hands*. You're In For A Treat

Horrorfest is on its last days and you don't want to miss all the treats that the designers have out with proceeds going to The Epilepsy Therapy Project. I have gathered another handful to show off before I go hide somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean for a week with no internet because I must share all of the awesomeness! So I shall start by giving FACE!

I do believe I give some bloody good face! Especially with this beautiful skin from MIASNOW. She added so many make-up options for this skin for Horrorfest that I had a hard time choosing! Pair it with one of the Klown eyes from The Stringer Mausoleum and the bloody fun hair that .ploom. put out for Halloween and you are ready for a good time! Schadenfreude knows how to grab my attention! This bloody corset was one of those things that pulled me straight to Horrorfest to grab. Sakide put out some bloody shorts that match it quite well and I decided to put my Ex's head to good use with this Bloody Candy Bucket! The Pumpkin Eater

Horrorfest has just under a week left and collectivly they have raised just over half of their goal to send to The Epilepsy Therapy Project. This is a really great cause and to help try and raise them closer to their goal I shall assult your eyes with another awesome look I put together using many items I found at Horrorfest or on their sim wide hunt. You shoudl definaly check out the event if you havn't already and buy some stuff to help contribute to The Epilepsy Therapy Project in style!

I do so love this Jack-O-Lantern corset that Dilly Dolls put out for the event it brings me back to my Kawaii side but lets me add the darker side that has gripped me firmly for the past month or so (I think Kaylith might be rubbing off on me more than I realized). And because MIASNOW inspired me to go wild piecing together this Make-Up combo with all of the options that she put out for Horrorfest I have to zoom in some to show you just how awesome the pieces are!

I had to use quite a few layers to get the effect I was looking for, but they were easy to overlay and they all fit together so well that I couldn't help myself when I played with them. And yes, my close-up semi fails as a close-up, but I couldn't bear to crop off the corset or the fun nail polish I found to be that final finishing touch. Although, If you head over to my Flickr page you can click through to see the pictures original size and then you can see all the awesome details including the eyes, which have a name that got me thinking and thus inspired the name of my post. Somewhere In The Between

So MIASNOW just started to find her way back onto SL and I must say that I am quite happy and that it could not have come at a better time. I always loved shopping there for Halloween skins to take my look to the next level and some of her new stuff already has me floored. I mean look at what I put together and my pic doesn't hardly do it justice!

Between all her new releases and some of the oldies but goodies I hardly get to wear I totally feel like the sexy living dead girl that I was aiming to be! And you only have a couple hours left at most to get this outfit set form Sn@tch for only 50L$ but I urge you to do so! The skirt alone is worth the 50L$ and more, but the tanks are totally fun too and come in a variety of bright colors. So for 50L$ the skirt and 6 tank colors all mesh and in all the sizes you can't beat that! Just sayin'. But yes as I stated before I don't even pretend to do this skin justice so I will show you what Sae did to do the skin justice and show off the pretty picture she made for me!

Sae did an incredible job editing it and only brought out the better features in the skin and everything else that I don't have the patience, artistic ability, or finesse to do. I love it and just had to show it off!

The Queen

After running around the Around the World Event I came home with enough goodies I needed a second blog post to show them off. What better way to do that then by grabbing the sexy male that is Kaylith alter-ego Devian and holding him down for a picture. I have to say the sexy leather jacket and skirt that I found when wandering around the event totally gave me a feeling of power and I don't think Devian minded one little bit...

But yeah this "date" got my ego fluffed up a little and totally cheered me back up after being sick and stuck in real life the past week and a half. I can totally make boys cry from melted hearts with my sexy looks as well as look totally adorable and kawaii depending on my mood. All the credits for this picture go to Kaylith. Music To My Ears

Cute Poison came out with adorable mixed tape necklaces for this round of Forgotten Closet and as usual with her stuff I fell in love and had to style with it. Apparently the cotton candy color scheme is not as all over as I assumed when I started. I knew I had seen skins and makeups but never noticed that the theme didn't follow to clothing so I was quite happy when I stumbled into Cute Poison trying to get some more inspiration and found the adorable corsets up on the wall and there was a cotton candy colored one! From there I realized how complete my obsessions with Cute Poison is and added some of her awesome piercings to make myself into a rockstar! Every good corset needs a skirt to make it pop so I spent some time on the marketplace and found the perfect one! I just want to add this is one of the best demos I have ever used, not only did it have all the sizes in in but each size was scripted to have all the color options in it, and it wasn't covered by huge DEMO font all over the skirt, it was tastefully done so that I could really look at the skirt and decided if it would match before I bought it. Anyways on to the pretty picture I took!

The feel the outfit gave off made me instantly think of a DJ at a club so I was trying to find a club that wouldn't be too busy so that I could take pics without a ton of photo-bombers when I remembered my friend Skyler was putting one up for a +DV8+ themed party tonight so I ran over and crashed hers as she was decorating. Still mad at myself for forgetting to ask off for tonight IRL so I will be missing most of the party.

Dia De Los Muertos

Its the ever fun day after Halloween in which many Spanish speaking countries celebrate the Day of the Dead. And because I always adored those beautiful sugar skulls they create for this holiday I decided I was gonna play with them in SL. I love Miasnow's amazingly detailed kinda out there skins and Muerto Maria is no exception and it came first to my mind when I thought of doing this post. From there I stumbled into Cute Poison remembering the Sugar Skull shirt next to my awesome zombie shirt on the wall and found all sorts of goodies that completed the look.

And as I was leaving Cute Poison (to go check out the new release at +Blue Blood+) I noticed the decorations that had been put out over by +Blue Blood+ and squeed having found my photo spot again among the awesome decorations at the Cute Poison sim for Halloween.

Walk Like A... Zombie!

Yes it is time for another Halloween related(ish) post! I would go off about zombies any time of year but right now this particular look gave me giggle fits while I was putting it together. I actually have a shirt that says this IRL and well I had to have it on SL too when I saw it. Add to that equation that the lovely MiaSnow has brought out her zombie goodies that only come out to play this time of year and I decided to go for this totally ironic look and I must say I am loving it.

No zombie look is complete without bloody pants though and I discovered I was severely lacking in this department. Thus a shout out on Plurk, and 3 attempts to not end up naked when landing at the Cinema event later, I have these awesome mesh bloody pants from .evolve.

My only issue with these pants is that they are actually kinda long so it was a challenge to get my shoes to work with them instead of against them, but that is my own damn fault. I tried on the demo found they fit perfect but was doing it barefoot. However there is always a way to make things work and with a little trick adjusting of a copy of my shoes with prim feet I managed to make the pants fit and my shoes fit and the ground ate nothing! Morals of the story? 1) Mesh is win. 2) These pants are win. 3) Always try demos, and try them with all the other clothing parts so you see what may conflict. 4) Learn to make silly modifications and learn from my silly mistakes.

Also you should totally go check out The Haunting at Cute Poison! They did a great job decorating and the scavenger hunt is fun (and not too brain intensive, so even if a zombie catches you and eats your brains you can still finish)! Plus it is an awesome spot to take pictures at!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this sweet, sweet irony as much as I did assembling it. Also learn from my mistakes I already made them you shouldn't have to!

Halloween Queen

There are so many awesome Halloween goodies out there right now and with the threat of even more when many of the Halloween time event start up on or around the 15th I defiantly am in the spirit of the season! I saw all the cuteness that Epic had to offer their VIP group for free or cheap and I went running over and decided I needed to be a pumpkin queen! Match it with some of the deals I found on the Cute Poison sim from Zombie Suicide, an adorable hair that brought a pumpkin to mind, and an adorakble crown and I was fit for the title of queen! That only left me needing a domain and I found the Perfect Pumpkin patch to rule over!

Now let's just hope all this new found queen appeal doesn't go to my head, or I will soon start screaming off with her head!

Hot and Dangerous!

On the 23rd Fallen Gods announced that their lucky fortune teller is back with a new skin in it. Soon as I saw the picture I went "OMG RAINBOWISH I MUST HAVE!" But is it really ever that easy with Lucky Fortune Tellers? Of course not. Three days later and probably near 100 avatars sitting with me later I finally got it! But I managed to have some fun while I waited for my perfect match! STORY TIME!

A good hour into trying I finally had a Fortune that at least got a few of us laughing...

So while I waited on my perfect match I ran with scissors and did other silly things to pass the hours of frustration. Finally, this morning, I caught my fellow blogger and former +DV8+ Model friend Aly online and asked her to come sit with me even through she had already blogged the skin cause I was disparately trying to get it from the stupid fortune teller. She agreed to come and sure enough!

Finally I had won my prize and sure enough the next person that walked in was my perfect match too! Got to love how that works! -.-' Then when I went to take pictures of the skin I was found by Unico and since I was "cheating on her" I got photo bombed by cuteness! The Power of Pink

Needless to say, while looking around at all the blog pics of the current fairs, I keep getting drawn to that bright pink skin cStar did for the Pink Ribbon Fair. So, after a bit of trading with one of my fellow cStar aficionados, I managed to get my hands on the beauty to play with. Let me tell you pink isn't easy for me to get along with and style!

After eyeing the skin naked for quite some time, because nothing I had on when I put the skin on looked right, I finally started to piece it together. The white eyebrows made finding a hair almost too easy with my penchant for buying white hair (hey most people make it mod and don't make it rainbow you do the math). Then I got stumped too many dang shades of pink in my inventory and none of them made my eyes happy. Then the subtle blue at the corner of the eye got my brain going and inspiration finally came once I found eyes to make the eye shadow pop even more!
