Devoted Viole-n-t Heart

Needless to say I have fallen way behind my plans for the second half of this month, but i plan to make all that up next month with a bunch of posts featuring the awesome events and my favorite designers participating in them. But anyways back to the now. The newest release from cStar has some definite attitude and I just had to show it off.

Since it is still feburary and there was still enough of the awesome heart stuff to go around I had to slip in a few more of my favorites form the month. The first being this outfit from Sn@tch. Yes, I meant to blog this sooner, but since I happened to be hanging out with Jasmine one night while she was working on these skins and got a preview I knew it was a perfect match and had to wait until I could get my mitts on everything for this post. The second is the posture collar from (red)Mint. There are at least 9 different styles available but the heart was my favorite. It has every feature I think I could ever possibly need in a collar (Except maybe a rainbow script, but it has a bunch of colors to choose from in the HUD).

This past week or so I have totally rediscovered MV and have no idea why I ever got distracted and stopped shopping there. In this post I am featuring one of her awesome nail sets but expect to see a lot more about MV from me in the future. Also got to point out the adorable fox head necklaces that Olive brought out for this round of SL Fashion Week. Okay I think my rambles are done for now.

So Kehl is really good at peaking my interest these days with his awesome creations for Razorblade Jacket. I saw these boots for sale during the black out event and relized there was no way I could just settle on the black option and bought the full version when it came out. The HUD has so many options I may never buy another pair, and that is saying something with my combat boot fetish. From there I found out that Sn@tch had released another sexy mesh corset number and I felt like I had dies and gone to heaven. So from that pairing I totally got a sexy rocker vibe and a certain song stuck in my head and just had to run with it from there.

And the requisite closeup on the torso, because well HOT DAMN! The piercings form Cute Poison help give it the edge I was looking for along with the piles of jewelry form Maxi Gossamer. Not to mention I am totally loving this hair from Truth. I still cant believe he put the packs out for only 88L$ at Collabor88...

Birds Of A Feather

Before I get started I will confess I somehow got the pic done and then totally lost track of all things and forgot to actually BLOG it so this post is like a week over due. OOPS! But here it is now, featuring the newest release from +Blue Blood+ and a skin I picked up from cStar not having a clue how to use it until now.

I love the fact that Ghani made this outfit so detailed that there was hardly any accessorizing to be done, or that even could be done without taking away from the detail. Paired with these stompy-strappy boots from Zombie Suicide I am quite happy with this look.

I warned Kehl that his new Jacket would be the cause of me going boobless and by-golly it was. I spent an hour trying to find one of my female shapes that agreed with it and gave up and borrowed a shape one of my friends made for her male alt. But the Jacket is TOTALLY worth it and you need to encourage any man you know to go grab it at the Men's Department right now while it's on sale!

So yes, I spent my morning making a pretty man avi, and when Kaylith saw she pounced on me and demanded a picture. Rare that it is that I go male and she stays female we had lots of laughs as I tried to keep up the male attitude as we were pose hunting. Needless to say I ended up on the pink poseball a few times by pure not remembering that I was the one "wearing the pants in the relationship" today. Also going to point out that I am totally wearing a FEMALE skin. Just goes to show how versatile cStar skins are. In the right lighting and with a slight Drag Queen edge you can make a macho man come to life.

I am gonna make this a quick and ...dirty... post. Well not really dirty because I made sure the nipples were not visible for the version that I am posting here. That being said, yes it is odd for me to do a picture like this and yes it stems off of me being in an odd mood the other night and having friends that were willing to get into mischief with me. Thus Syn got to have her way with the Brightside, and the Darkside.

I was just in a mischievous mood and pulled out my harness and Kaylith decided to join me when Syn offered to play mistress for the pic. Your Love Has Torn Me Apart

With Valentines Day rapidly approaching and themed stuff at every turn I took this opportunity to not only show off some of the awesome stuff a few of my favorite creators have made but also to vent a little of my S.A.D steam off at the same time. I knew going into the post that I was gonna have to use pink, no matter how much I hate it, after seeing the necklace from Cute Poison I knew I had no choice as the outfit started to form in my head. From there my mind went straight to all of the torn/broken Valentines pieces because well, let's face it, my first Valentines 'alone' since I joined SL is bound to be rather bitter. Yes, I have my awesome friends and my sexy Kaylith (One of my Best Friends whom I'm partnered to) but I do long for cuddles with a guy, I'm just that kind of girl. So after finding the corner set from Inspired, the stiches where my heart should be tattoo from Half-Deer, and the "Happy Fucking Valentine's Day" Shirt from Yulice among the collection from hunting I knew I was ready with a few of the things I already had in my inventory. The veil that Half-Deer came out with this morning for SL Fashion Week was just the icing on top of the cake.

Bad Reputation

Yes the new cStar skin still has me totally obsessing. with 200 different skins it is hard not to want to pull them all out and play, so play I have. This time I got a little Punky with my Goth and am serving up so "fireceness" as RuPaul would say. Yes, I am a RuPaul's Drag Race fan and just finished watching the season 5 premiere. So now that I've seen the premier I can get back to werk.

I really don't know why I keep forgetting I have these boots! I seriously LOVE them they have that rocker girl feel that I love and always look for but can't ever find boots for and here they are right in my inventory... And this dress! So glad I bought it when it was on sale at an event when it first came out. I knew it would come in handy and I was right! It totally makes this look werk.

With how much I've been bragging about and loving on this skin I figured it was about time I gave you some face. I totally love all the detail on this skin and how it just POPS! Not to mention the limited edition eyes and Lashes for sale by the gatcha machines. They totally add to the look of the skin but don't drag your attention away with their detail. It's a perfect blend.

Down The Rabbit Hole

So other than being a model manager my other excuses for not blogging much at least the past few days is the newest release at cStar. Last year there were gotcha machines out with different zodiac themed skins every month that followed the zodiac and had lots of skin tone options, this year is something totally new and if the trend keeps up my OCD will be going mad every release. This year the theme for the month gatcha releases is "The Art of ..." and here is the sexy ad that shows off the skins.

And if you read the fine print it says there are 200 skins. Yes you read that right 200 skins! It took me 3 days to collect them all but my collection is complete so my OCD is put to rest until the next release. My collection is so complete I even bought the lashes and eyes that were used in the ad that were put out for sale by the gatchas. So long story short, yes I have a problem, now I am not gonna try to stop having a cStar addiction anytime soon. The skins are worth way more that Jasmine sells them for, and the extremely limited and hard to find skins allow me to stand out in a crowd more than I would normally.

Now that I have given my excuses time to show off my outfit. Especially since this is one of my favorite pictures I have ever done.

Funnily enough the cStar skin wasn't the piece that got me thinking about this outfit. Odd I know but sometimes inspiration strikes form odd angles. For instance I originally saw the Kre-ations Horror Haute piercing and was befuddled as to what to do with it, so it got stashed away until I was wondering around Sn@tch and found this outfit in the lucky boards. Yes, I sat there for nearly an hour and dragged all my friends to tag the board until it finally hit a 'D' for me to grab it. From there everything fell into place. From the perfect goth skin from cStar to the horns from Kre-ations. And the keyhole tattoo Half-Deer made for The Retreat adds just that little bit of detail on my chest so that the posture collar fits in nicely and I can have my chest covered enough not to twitch.

Peepshow

I have been spending a lot of my time these past few weeks hanging out at Dare Designs. Since being model manager comes with needing to familiarize myself with the clothing and make sure my models know what is out there and how it all works together I have been playing around in the Dare Designs closet myself making myself look pretty. I have to say this Cabaret/Burlesque look I came up with is defiantly one of my favorites so far so I had to share it!

I do soo love latex! And the fact that I found a reason to wear the Carmen 2.0 skin I grabbed form cStar on a whim makes me all the happier!

Just Like A Pill

So the other night I needed a pick me up after getting rejected... So my friend Skyler decided to take me out freebie hunting, since being rejected while broke does not a shopping spree make. Well this lead us to the Energy Club where there area ton of good quality freebies available to the group. After we raided that I decided that I kinda loved the skin that I got and styled to it. So in summery this look has been ready for like 3 days but between work and me being bitter I wasn't able to post it. Now that I'm less bitter and had the night off here it is.

I am still loving on these new mesh ears from Zombie Suicide. Totally well done with detail and well I figured out how to play with the tunnels and plugs to double up. With all of these options I don't think I will ever be bored with them. Can you tell that being rejected made me feel more girly that usual? All the pink and the bows, I guess I just feel more...fragile...than I normally do.

I Write Sins Not Tragedies

So I FINALLY got my hands on the Evoke skin form cStar and I must say LOVE!!! It may look like I ate a pen, but I feel like I am channeling Sharron Needles and LOVE IT! I feel fierce and look it too. If I can bite a pen I can bite your head off too! But the skin isn't the only thing that makes this look come alive by any means. The new eyes form Kre-ations keep calling my name with the off the wall eye colors and beautiful detail that give them an otherworldly look. The new mesh ears form Zombie Suicide make pierced and gauged ears look too easy. The more I wear piercings in SL the more I want them IRL but with all the options in the add-on packs for these mesh ears I get to play around without having to submit myself to the needle for IRL piercings and I can change them at whim! All of the add-on packs come with multiple color/picture options for all of the sizes so your not having to re-buy the ears of the add-ons if you decide you want a bigger gauge in your ears (or a smaller one).

And yes I am continuing with my antler/horn addiction. I swear Half-Deer and Kre-ations started it and they just keep coming out with more stuff so I doubt the addiction is going anywhere soon. And Sn@tch is dead intent on making me feel pretty and sexy with all her releases these days because this corset totally hollered my name from across the store when I walked in. Mix that with the mesh pants from Auxiliary and the Maxi Gossamer Jewelry that always makes me free sexy and well you have one sexy chick willing to strut her stuff and take the names of anyone that turns their head to check out her ass (Because these jeans make it look damn fine!).

Blow Me One Last Kiss

I've been busying play Flesh Wrangler for a week so I decided to take some time out and do at least one blog post this week before I go back to trying to corral models. This post has a deeper meaning that just looking pretty too after thinking more about my last post and with what RL has thrown at me this past week. When one door closes another one opens and with the 2012 "door" closing the 2013 "door" is opening and i see lots of changes in my future so I will "blow 2012 one last kiss goodbye" before jumping through the door to start off my 2013 on a good foot.

But back to the clothing of awesome win! I LOVE the new corset dresses from SN@TCH, because awesome sexy dress that just screams "please come here I look pretty and you should want to make me yours". And sexy over the knee boots I love them soo! And then there is my newest horn fetish that has me spending all my L$ trying to get all of the rare horns in the Gatcha at the ZODIAC event, sadly I'm still missing Cosmic, but I'm hoping I get it before they are gone! Also the Gelf Collaboration ears that I absolutely ADORE now come in a short version that is just as much win as the original! Defiantly a must buy for anyone that likes to dress up as something other than plain old boring human!

A Glittery New Year

2013 is almost upon me and thinking back to this year a lot has changed and my SL is almost nothing like it was when 2012 started. At the beginning I was a +DV8+ Live Model, a +DV8+ Dreadnought, a SLRDA Referee, a Mall Manager, a Shop owner. As the year went on I let go of being a derby girl then refereeing as well. +DV8+ closed it's doors and my Modeling and Mall Managing went with it. I decided I wasn't up to being a shop owner at this stage in SL and packed it up to play with later. Though the new year isn't all about what I've lost, I've gained a lot as well. I'm newly managing the Dare Designs Models that will be starting with the new year, I'm now blogging my heart out and enjoying every minute of the challenges that comes with styling for a blog using things I picked up when modeling and adding them to the tricks I learn on the way. I've lost friends, I've gained enemies, I've made better friends, and I've learned form all of this along the way.

So with all that being said I realized today I wanted to make a post to help remember the past year and bring in the new one with some sparkle to remind myself of the promising new year ahead and to show how far I've come (at least with my blogging and styling) so far.

Colorfully Pointed

This is one of those looks that started off as a styling challenge from a friend *coughsJasminecoughs* that I originally wasn't overly thrilled with, (of course that may be because she gave me a 30 minute time limit that I stuck to and managed to forget about any sort of accessories because I was in panic mode) but now that I have looked back and sat down and played with the look again with come new stuff I have acquired since then and added in the accessories that I forgot the first time as a result I have found a colorful fun look that I absolutely adore.

I totally LOVE both of these rainbow horn sets! I really need to find a good rainbow unicorn horn for my "UniCat" look but these horns totally make me wish unicorns had more than one horn! (Yes the new horns from Kre-ations come in a rainbow tone that is totally my fault, but hey I don't mind being blamed for rainbows and I love Kreo for naming them for me as well as making them.) Also I need help convincing Sae that she should really get this corset out to the public. I adore it and the detail on it is amazing. It is very good quality and well RAINBOW!!

Christmas Is For Cookies

So I've been busy IRL for the past month (blame my sister I've been her slave), and thus kinda let my blogging slack off some, but I promised myself I would get a pretty Christmas look together and totally got it all together by Christmas Eve; so YAY ME! Well here it is!

So first of cStar has stuck again with this beautiful skin for F R O S T Fair, and at half price and limited to the event and not to just 2 of each tone I managed to snag at least 3 tones of this skin and it makes me happy! Then I saw SAKIDE across the way and the dresses called my name and I knew I had half of my look. After hitting up Collabor88 and finding the boots and nails I knew I was having a good shopping week.

Not to mention Halogen of Half-Deer reading my mind and coming out with these awesome antlers as a group gift, and Rose of .Olive. and her fun Christmas Cookie trays of win I knew I had a fun Christmas look to share!

The End Of The World... (Kinda)

Well the world was suppose to end today (at least according to the Mayans or something) and it didn't so you have until the 30th to check out the End of the World Fair! There are a bunch of awesome designers there with plenty of awesome items and exclusive to the fair items for you to get your hands on! Here is just a few of the goodies I found.

I love all things Cute Poison and well the dress and necklace just called my name. The shape that is available at FROSTING!! was just to cute to pass up even if it is shorter than I'm used to. Also, LEGGINGS! I love the oil mixed color look on these leggings form SD Works and the fact that they matched the dress just made me all the happier! Zombie Suicide recently came out with these boots, and while they aren't part of the EOTW Fair they have that combat boot feel that totally helped complete the look. Also .ploom. is spoiling us all with their 12 days of Christmas Specials. Totally worth a look with a newly released hairs at nice discounted prices every day until Christmas, and poses too!

Frosty Winter

Atooly Hunts is putting on another great hunt right now with a Winter/Christmas theme. I am one of the lucky bloggers for this great set of designers and their awesome hunt freebies so now I shall present the Hunting for Winter Hunt!

This hunt was slightly different from the Falling into the Season Hunt, because there were 2 color swatches that the participating stores could use. The stores could use a Christmas themed swatch or just a general winter themed swatch to make their goodies and there is a good mix in the prizes.

But now it is time for me to give you a small peek at the goodies before sending you off to the blog to see more or just to go start the hunt since it is a FREE HUNT!

I had to make a complete look out of all this awesomeness and the more wintry blue stuff was calling to me so I made myself into a frost queen, and set myself as a pin up in the quaint little house that is one of the hunt gifties.

I loved the art on the walls of the house and had to stick with the antlered theme once I saw the jewelry in the hunt too. Also you should totally click over to my Flickr and zoom in to the details on the under-eye makeup and the ring (It matches the necklace pendant), because the details on them are amazing or just go find them in the hunt yourself!

Forgotten Rainbows

RAINBOWS EVERYWHERE!!! Well at least forma few of my favorite stores! I have to say I am quite happy with Forgotten Closet's "Hippie/Rainbow" theme they have going on right now. It totally got Cute Poison and Zombie Suicide to release rainbow stuff that I was able to pounce on! Add that to +Blue Blood+'s Rainbow Twisted Krissmuss Dresses and I am totally on top of the rainbow right now! Not only did I find some new stuff that screamed my name but I totally got the perfect excuse to buy the rainbow boots at Dilly Dolls that I have been eyeing for a month but had zero clue what I could and would wear them with! Problem totally solved!

While teleporting to Dilly Dolls and waiting on the sim to rez around me I noticed this rainbow blur off in the corner and had to investigate, thus leading me to discover her rainbow hording octopus that reminded me that i had Arms and a purse I could wear on them. I can't believe I almost forgot I owned this adorable purse form katat0nik, but then again I hardly ever get purses in SL because I don't have to have a phone or a wallet or a book on me. (Yes, I am a nerd IRL, I carry a book/Nook in my purse at all times and won't buy a purse unless it fits the aforementioned objects.)
